Syria, Iran intelligence services aided Hizballah during war

A Stop-The-Presses Alert: "Syria, Iran intelligence services aided Hezbollah during war," by Ze'ev Schiff in Haaretz, with thanks to Sr. Soph:

During the fighting in Lebanon Hezbollah received direct intelligence support from Syria, using data collected by listening posts jointly manned by Russian and Syrian crews. Hezbollah was also fed intelligence from new listening posts built on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights, which are operated jointly with Iran.

This information was confirmed in recent reports by the defense journal Jane's.

Syria's centrality to the collection and transfer of intelligence to Hezbollah is based on separate agreements Damascus signed with Moscow and Tehran on intelligence cooperation.

And the Israelis let them get away with it, instead of pounding them.

What a surprise.
It's sure nice to see how stupid the Russians are-still getting into bed with the Islamaniacs despite Chechnya, Beslan, etc. Perhaps they need the Islamic gift of 9/11 to finally wake them up.

Off topic, but funny:

The Iranian Ambassador to the UN had just finished giving a speech, and
walked out into the lobby where he met President Bush. They shook hands,
and as they walked the Iranian said, "You know, I have just one question
about what I have seen in America.

President Bush said, "Well, anything I can do to help you, I will."
The Iranian whispered "My son watches this show 'Star Trek' and in it
there is Chekhov who is Russian, Scotty who is Scottish, and Sulu who is
Chinese, but no Arabs.

My son is very upset and doesn't understand why there aren't any Iranians
on Star Trek." President Bush laughed, leaned toward the Iranian ambassador,
and whispered back, "It's because it takes place in the future."

Syria, Iran, Pakistan...

so many targets, so little time...

Syria, Iran, Pakistan...

so many targets, so little time...

Korea is about to test a nuke for Iran.

Once Mahmood knows the nukes work, he will plan away and use them.

The world won't have a chance to have peace until we have meaningful regime change in:

Syria, Iran, North Korea, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Seems to me like Putin thinks it's more important to stick a finger in America's eye than to smash the real menace. How many more Beslans will it take for him to quit playing the old superpower game and get behind the effort to rid the world of the menace of the times? Russia is just like France-it cannot accept the fact that it's no longer a major power so it goes about being counterproductive in the world. Gotta give the Islamaniacs credit-they know this and play these fools quite well.

Hey Big Daddy,

Not so...What about the Klingons?

With regard to the Russians and Syrians co-operating there is an article Daniel Pipes wrote in 1989 about Syria's attempt to bomb an El Al plane using a pregnant Irish girl to carry, unknowingly, the explosive rigged suitcase.
Then the Russians were state sponsors of terrorism and still now they continue sponsoring terrorists in the name of jihad as they aid the Iranians.

It seems appropriate to reread Pipes' article which covers in depth the whole operation:
"The Syrian Connection"
http://www.danielpipes.org/article/1064

"But the ties between the Syrian and Soviet states have gone far beyond material aid. Despite what Harvey Sicherman has called a "history of fine betrayals" between Syria and USSR, extensive evidence suggests that the U.S.S.R. and its clients have a major, though non-specific role in encouraging the Syrian use of terrorism."

Seems that Bush was wrong about the religion of peace and also wrong about his appraisal of Putin.

The Pipes link was provided by Kesher Talk in a post about the Irish girl:

If you think our "leaders" are idiotic, you haven't been watching the Israeli government. Talk about clueless, trying to show how "fair" they are. Still trying to convince the nations of the world that they are the "good" guys, when they should know that they can't, 'cauze their Jews.

Putin is no worse than Chirac, Kerry and others who want to stop Bush. Russians deserve to be bombed by muslims when they stoop so low to work with iranians and syrians.

So, Iran playing with the nuke project, becomes the klingons of the future? Gotta see that episode!

Actually, I watched an episode of "Star Trek" the other day and Spock got off a great line: "There's no purpose to madness, but it may have a goal". If this doesn't describe Islamania then I don't know what does!

On the serious side I wish somebody would inform Putin that one of these days the Islamaniac company he currently keeps will show him "gratitude" for all his efforts. Beslan was just a small bit of it but apparently it hasn't registered yet.
