Secretary Rice promises a PLO state.United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Wednesday America could have no greater legacy than to have divided the Land of Israel and established a Palestinian state to end the "humiliation of occupation." Rice made the statements at a dinner marking the third anniversary of the American Task Force on Palestine.
"The Palestinian people deserve a better life, a life that is rooted in liberty, democracy, uncompromised by violence and terrorism, unburdened by corruption and misrule and forever free of the daily humiliation of occupation," Rice said. "I promise you my personal commitment to that goal."
"I believe there could be no greater legacy for America than to help bring into being a Palestinian state for people who have suffered too long, have been humiliated too long," Rice added.
"I know that sometimes, a Palestinian state living side by side in peace with Israel must seem like a very distant dream but I know too... that there are so many things that once seemed impossible that after they happened they simply seemed inevitable," she said.
Rice praised Mahmoud Abbas, who is hanging onto his position as Palestinian Authority chairman, for his moderation. Arutz-7 reported Tuesday that Abbas dismissed demands that Fatah recognize Israel - just one day before he told Rice that such recognition is a must.

Its impossible to imagine Roosevelt or Truman dropping leaflets on the Japanese (‘Northeast Asians’) and Germans (‘North-Central Europeans’) before the bombs showed up. Back then it was utterly ridiculous to think of bombing factories when there weren’t two shifts of workers in the plant.
Now these things are inevitable, as is something else. FDR was called a "liberal." While the liberal Harry Truman was president, the US Treasury made a deal to allow ARAMCO to deduct payments to Saudi Arabia for oil [royalties] from ARAMCO's US corporate income tax. Thus, the US Treasury began to subsidize the Saudi royals as early as 1951. You make some valid points and I do think nukes should only be used as a last resort. However, our future here lies with the politicians who hold the power to create laws in which to slow down the growth of Islam here in my country, such as deportation or closing the mosques, etc. There must be a mutual consensus within Western countries to do the same, but most of Europe has a pacifist mentality. British Airways does not permit it's employees to wear crosses, but does permit turbans and head coverings for Muslims as an example.
The reason the readers of Jihad Watch sound like hate mongers is because we read on a daily basis, all the horrific crimes being committed around the world by Muslims and nobody stopping them. We're just fed up and see the writing on the wall, defenseless because we must live by the rule of law, while Muslims are free to commit acts of violence. The barbarism of their religion is like a Satanic cult complete with animal sacrifices and black coverings. I recommend watching "Not without my daughter". I watched it again this weekend and it's a true story of life in Iran for an American woman held against her will by her husband. It sends chills up my spine.

Unexpectedly the story of the movie sounds familiar to me. In fact, I watched TV last year that http://abcnews.go.com/2020/ had an hour-long detailed story about it. I was very moved and angry at what the Iranian Muslim doctor husband did to his American wife and daughter. Interesting, the year 1991 in which the movie was made was the year I stopped befriending with any Arab and Muslim in America, because I had found them deceptive bullshitters by nature at school and at work. I have been this way ever since and have been enjoying it.

Americaningermany, from reading your posts over time and hearing your stories about life in Europe, I greatly sympathize and understand because I went thru the same when I lived in Monaco for 4 years. Europeans have a superior attitude, especially towards Americans. I was picked on endlessly for 2 years, until I finally won them over with humor and honesty. You can do the same and it will get easier over time. If they see you are genuine with a kind heart (remember they're pacifists), they will welcome you with open arms. They're all about being proper, but deep down, they just want a good laugh.
I agree with you about our leaders. They are not doing near enough and we are sitting ducks helpless to act because of our laws.
