A note from Dr. Richard Benkin about Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury:
On November 14, Representives Mark Kirk (R-IL) and Nita Lowey (D-NY) introduced a Congressional Resolution urging the Bangladesh government to drop all charges against Muslim journalist Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury and cease all other forms of harassment against him. I have attached Congressman Kirk's press release about this, as well as the Resolution itself, House Resolution 1080. It will be voted on before Congress adjourns at the end of this year. Please contact your Congressional Representatives and urge them to support House Resolution 1080. Please encourage everyone you know to do the same. This is an issue that both Democrats and Republicans are supporting, and we must get it passed by a huge margin. This is our chance and the Congress's chance to make a strong statement for justice and against radicalism, and help save the life of this very brave man. You should contact your current Member of Congress who was in office before the recent elections.
Please act now and get everyone you know to act.
It will be interesting to see who votes against this.
I'm in trouble on this one. Keith Ellison is my congressman. Yuck!
I will look elsewhere, since this clown isn't in power yet.
I have a feeling Congress is going to screw us over on this one. They won't even summon the courage to condenm this sort of thing, let alone put any real effort on something important, like Iran.
Oh well, don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.
Islamsforlosers,
Check out the article about Keith Ellison on my site:

Doctor Bulldog-
Oy vey!
I am a little skeptical about this story-WCCO being more leftist than the other stations around here. I guess an unmentionable poster from Pakistan will now be disappointed though!
"That [H.R.1080] should get the attention of a government that receives $64 million a year in American aid. The government of Bangladesh might also consider that the harm it claims Mr. Choudhury's journalism has done to its national "image" has, in fact, been wholly self-inflicted." ~from The Wall Street Journal.

It is nice to see Nita Lowey, a candidate I've supported for years, confronting extremist elements and defending American values in all corners of the globe. I think that the Congress will recognize the injustice of this man's plight and vote decisively to act on his behalf. These radical Salafists must not only be defeated on the battlefield, but also in the politcal, judicial and social arenas. We can only hope that our government will see the gravity of the struggle that faces our nation and the rest of the free world.
