Al-Qaeda's airport bomb plot

How convenient it will be for Al-Qaeda and its airport plots if Ibrahim Hooper and Nancy Pelosi get their way, and scrutiny of Muslims in airports is criminalized. "Al-Qaeda's airport bomb plot: An Islamist explosives expert now in a Northern Ireland prison conducted dummy runs for terror attacks at Dublin and Knock," by Henry McDonald in The Guardian, with thanks to Cindy:

A convicted al-Qaeda bomb-maker serving a jail sentence in Northern Ireland carried out dummy runs for a potential terrorist plot at Dublin and Knock airports, The Observer can reveal.

Last Tuesday the expelled Islamist cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed was seen exhorting young British Muslims in an online broadcast from Beirut to target Dublin because he incorrectly believed US troops used the airport as a transit centre on the way to Iraq and Afghanistan. Now it has emerged that key al-Qaeda bomb-making expert Abbas Boutrab visited both Dublin and Knock airports. Information on the airports was found at his north Belfast flat three years ago, according to evidence at his trial in Belfast Crown Court last November.

Boutrab lived in the Irish Republic for four years after successfully applying for political asylum using a fake identity. He left Lucan, Dublin, in 2002 after becoming the main suspect in a knife attack on an asylum seeker and moved to Belfast, where he lived under another false ID.

He was arrested after a joint MI5-PSNI operation in 2003 and information on his PC showed he had advanced a method of adapting ordinary electronic devices - including a cassette recorder - to detonate explosives in an aircraft.

Boutrab was convicted of possessing information on bomb-making and sentenced to six years' imprisonment. Evidence given at his trial stated that he was part of the al-Qaeda plot to smuggle the bomb on to an aircraft and detonate the device as it circled over a major American city.

Another example of how deportation doesn't work in the age of the Internet. Jail and zapping are the only options to deal with this menace. If someone can find a way to make a prison function without tax money they would be deserving of high honors. Jail them in the most remote places of the world. Any chance of spiffing up Devil's Island?

When he was arrested in Belfast three years ago he was found to have nine separate sets of identity papers"

I think the future where retna scans or fingerprint scans (or both) for all travelers might not be far off. Bad for privacy rights but what can you do?

ps Im sure in the future a large database of all our personal info including eye and fingerprint scan info will have to be created. Thanks alot Islam...

ISLAMSFORLOSERS Devils Island for islamic criminals not that would be poetic justicse.

I meant now THAT would be poetic justice!

Paraphrased from a story about the Online broadcast of Omar Bakri Mohammed:
http://metimes.com/storyview.php?StoryID=20061115-052208-5771r

When Omar Bakri Mohammed was asked by a Vigil listener if Dublin's airport should be a target for terrorists, because American troops transit there on the way to Iraq. Mohammed replied, "Hit the target and hit it very hard, that issue should be understood. Your situation there is quite difficult therefore the answer lies in your question."

When contacted by Britain's domestic Press Association about his reply, Mohammed said, "I do not advocate for any people to carry out any action against anybody."

Tagiyya in action!

Now Ireland.

So now Al Qaeda has invaded the Celtic Heartland. Or was it welcomed in by unsuspecting and unintelligent politicians like Nancy Pelosi?

At last count al-Qaeda was operating in at least 94 independent nations. Now it's at least 95.

This above article brings to mind what Caroline Glick stated in "Obsession: Radical Obsession's War Against the West:" "Every country in the world is now dealing with this at some level. The Russians are dealing with it, the Thais...."
Now it's the Irish's turn.

Bad for privacy rights but what can you do?

Freedom of speech, privacy, civil rights, personal security, small government, low taxes, equality before the law, these ideals and more are all being eroded by the demanding presence of Moslems.

Why go to the bother? Just drop em off.
Let the parasites fend for themselves for just once in their miserable lives.

This brings to mind the Muslim that was arrested in Michigan for leaving his car parked in front of an airport terminal, then hijacking a car to get home. That was definitely a dry run. Looks like airport bombings are going to be their next plot since they've been unable to hijack our planes. They've got that autistic, anal retentive quality, obsessed with aviation whether it's hijacking planes or blowing up airports.

I say any Muslim caught in any Plot against the West or a Western Country , or caught with numerous id's etc.. should be immediately deported to an Islamic nation of their choice. we WILL have to start throwing people out, eventually.

I think the future where retna scans or fingerprint scans (or both) for all travelers might not be far off. Bad for privacy rights but what can you do?

My retinas do not need privacy. Privacy rights are the lynchpin of the muslim terrorist menace. They are also the shield of any other organized criminal organization. Law-abiding people have nothing to keep private from the law-enforcement authorities. We need privacy from each other and from telemarketers. Not from the FBI. Each of us already has a social security number, a driver's licence, and a passport. We are all documented anyway. So if they know what my retina looks like, that no more invades my privacy than if they know what my liver looks like.

We need privacy only at home, and even there, we need privacy in the washroom and the bedroom only. Our retinas do not need to be private. The FBI has no interest in my washroom or bedroom. Any interest in my retina simply serves to separate me from a muslim terrorist, in which case I say 'aye.

I will gladly give up my retina-rights if it means ridding this world of terrorist FREAKS!

Agree. However, if we jailed them all we'd have to first get rid of Amnesty International and other human rights activists.

I am sure we can also accommodate Amnesty International

Take a look at the discussion forum at the digg.com site on the 6 Imams on the plane story -- 90% of the 150+ comments there are accusing the airline officials of "Islamophobia" -- methinks that expresses the American & Western majority sentiment, unfortunately.

P.S.: I.e., to my fellow Jihad Watchers: don't put the cart before the horse. Before you can implement any of the enthusiastic measures you guys so zestfully propose, you have to get over the immense hurdle of the majority of PC people out there.

THE ALLIES SHALL WIN

ps Im sure in the future a large database of all our personal info including eye and fingerprint scan info will have to be created.

NO PROBLEM!

Cannot see a problem with this because we are all on dozens of different databases already and pretty well every day I get mailshots and telephone calls from companies who know my age, salary and interests pretty well. 15 years ago I was trying to book a flight and was eventually linked up to an airline office in another country. When I gave them my postcode they told me who I was!

If like most people you live in the same place for years with a steady job anyone can trace you at any time. Meantime I rent out apartments many for short periods, I can tell you that the people who take them are from all races and classes and some use their mobility to screw everyone. One guy disappeared having taken a credit-card company for $50,000 at a time when I was being threatened with seizure of property for a $600 tax bill I didn't owe!

All this so-called anonymity civil right does is protect the crooks and terrorists.

Starting with Omar Bakri: It is possible to stop / severely restrict the type of multicasting that Bakri is promoting. China has firewall filters that restrict this type of IP packet flow, we could apply it (bye-bye civil freedom’s though).
Secondly: As all of you posters get annoyed at not being able to whack an Al-Qaeda operative…please note that this guy was arrested and imprisoned (the judicial process worked).
As to extra-judicial killings: There are multiple illustrations (French revolution, Russian revolution) where those performing the killings define their own agenda as to who should live or die, and it never serves the people’s interest. Simply, they would start by killing terrorists and end by killing those they did not like.
Much better to provide the state with the authority to assassinate (with the option to recall this authority).
The British applied this policy (shoot-to-kill), and there are many IRA terrorists now dead because the state found the will to kill them.

Simply, they would start by killing terrorists and end by killing those they did not like.

Better than not killing the terrorists at all. Nor do I buy this typical, liberal "slippery slope" argument. Pathological fear of this mythical slippery slope inhibits us from taking the measures needed to save our civilization. And hey, even if it goes beyond terrorists to their supporters and facilitators, even better. And if it goes beyond those to CAIR, better still. If it goes beyond those to the ACLU, better once gain. And if, for argument's sake, it goes beyond the ACLU to criminal defence lawyers, telemarketers, AMWAY salespeople, and those cretins that fill our inboxes with viagra spam email, I can't think of how our society would be any worse off, or how many tears we should shed for our overzealousness.

The list is almost endless. And if in the process of adjudicating that list to save humanity, we inadvertantly kill a few people less deserving, then their deaths were a small price to pay to save the world. Indeed, many more of them would have died, millions in fact, just in fighting a world war that will no doubt transpire soon if we take no such preventative measures because we remained paralyzed, recoiled in fear of this mythical slippery slope.

So, now it's Muslim terrorists vs. the Irish? Well, at least now the Catholics and Protestants can turn their excellent firepower against the apostates of Allah instead of at each other.
