British intelligence officials believe that al-Qaida is determined to attack the UK with a nuclear weapon, it emerged yesterday. The announcement, from an officially organised Foreign Office counter-terrorism briefing for the media, was the latest in a series of bleak assessments by senior officials and ministers about the terrorist threat facing Britain.UK officials have detected "an awful lot of chatter" on jihadi websites expressing the desire to acquire chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear weapons.
Asked whether there was any doubt that al-Qaida was trying to gain the technology to attack the west, including the UK, with a nuclear weapon, a senior Foreign Office counter-terrorism official said: "No doubt at all."
The official explained: "We know the aspiration is there, we know the attempt to get material is there, we know the attempt to get technology is there."
The warning comes after a speech last week by the foreign secretary, Margaret Beckett, on the terrorist threat facing the UK, and a rare public outing for Dame Eliza Manningham-Buller, the head of MI5, who warned that there were at least 30 active plots to attack Britain.
This warning should get the civilized world to action. Kill THEM before they kill US. How hard is that to understand? Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Egypt are good places to start. Cut the head off the viper and the body will die, eventually. This makes me so angry. These wingnuts keep threatening us and yet, our leaders do nothing. NOTHING. These people need to be contained. They need to have a good attitude adjustment and a good smack down. They need to learn a lesson.
The first thing to do NOW is to ban Islam and throw the lot of them out. If they are not here they cannot blow us up. Take their passport off them if they have one and if they refuse to go put them in camps with the option of being able to go at any time they choose.
Once they kill thousands or hundreds of thousands of people in one go the do-gooder-left will start squeeling like muslims being force-fed pork but will still try to understand them so must be put out of power now before it is too late.
We can expect a lot of resistence to deportation and will see them resist us with weapons but that is something we will have to deal with but at least everybody will see them for what they really are. Deport them now before it is too late for a lot of people.

Why is the UN still called the UN? It should change its name to NAZI-Nations Against Zionism, INC. I see PC dying in my country compared to a few years ago.
Multicultural is being questioned for the first time in mainstream parties, this is unheard of.
If a nuke was to go off in the UK I would expect most Muslims to head for the ports or seek out police protection.

The "UN" has become nothing but a club of third world basket cases and dictatorships that constantly bashes Israel for picking on those poor palestinian victims, complains that the West is too cheap with its aid programs and generally is a roadblock in solving any problems. If the UK were to get nuked, most likely millions of people would be killed or catastrophically injured, the nations's infrastructure would likely come near to collapse, and the British would be entirely preoccupied with medical emergencies and the like. And the country would need massive imports of food, drinking water, and medical supplies.
The nation would at that point be in no shape whatsoever to combat Islam, at least for a period of months or even years. Any country including America would be in the same straits if it happened to them.
Britons must act immediately to ensure that this nightmare does not occur. They might even consider evacuating large numbers of people from London and other crowded areas.

Mutually assured destruction worked in the cold war and should be urgently resurrected. If any nuclear attack on the UK were to take place Pakistan and Afghanstan should be assured that the UK would finish off some unfinished business from the time of the raj and annihilate the Pashtuns (and we'd take out Pakistan's bomb while we were at it). It should be made common knowledge that this will inevitably take place. Since Osama and the mad Mullah have nowhere else to hide it should have the desired effect. If the terrorists try it on with a crude ineffective dirty bomb then the Pakistani/Afghan border will be hit with a crude effective dirty bomb. A firm line on this would prove to be the safest polcy and make an attack extremely unlikely.

However, just to take the Russian Revolution as an example, after the anarchy of the civil war, Stalin emerged to dominate this ‘new’ society. Bearing in mind some of the points raised by Protectalbion above, you need to remember that our nation is only small. A nuclear attack here would throw our entire country into complete disarray. All our eggs are kept in one very small basket here. If London goes, we're going to be F***ed to high heaven for a very long time.

You need to think again, bollocks. In terms of the likelihood and capability of retaliatory strikes against a nuclear attack?. If you want to start drawing straws to nominate a city for sacrifice, then I'd suggest you look elsewhere than London. Protectalbion is correct in that if it were to happen here, we wouldn't have the immediate organisation to perform such an attack; We'd be far too busy trying to keep basic civil order.
Now, if you really wanted to see the S**t start to fly, go pick yourself a nice little target in the US eh?. Say Washington, or LA, or anywhere. While I could agree that any such possibility of a nuclear attack on any Western city would have a most profound effect on the world, I would never in my life pronounce any of our cities as deserving of such a fate. I am not a Christian, yet I still pray each day that this sort of thing never happens, for all our sakes. You would seem to be praying that it does happen. I would hope that you still have the years left in your life to purge this stain upon your humanity before you stand in judgement before our creator.

You are absolutely correct. Dislike of Islam and Muslims (and I'm stating this politely and not in the street level language), is now at a very high level.
And those who think that the UK is weak - better think again. We were never renowned for blowing our own trumpets - sticking it somewhere... etc but not blowing.
I believe the fight back is going to come from the UK, and the rest of the English speaking world will follow, as has been the way before. Europe will then follow reluctantly.
