Cartoon Rage is not over. From Gulfnews, with thanks to Fjordman:
Cairo: Egyptians view Denmark as a "very hostile" nation, according to a government poll released on Tuesday. The cabinet's Information and Decision Support Centre which conducted the survey, said in a statement that the poll showed that 60 per cent of a random sample of 1,000 Egyptians regard Denmark as a "hostile" state, with 37 per cent saying it was "very hostile".
The poll results show that Muslim uproar regarding last year's Danish cartoons lampooning the Phrophet [sic] Mohammad has yet to die down.
Before the cartoon saga, in which a Danish newspaper published pictures of the Prophet Mohammad with a turban resembling a bomb, the country was known in Egypt mostly for its dairy products.
Something's rotten in Denmark!

Good for Denmark! No dhimmitude for them!
I wonder if this was before or after the Eid celebration in Cairo?

This story is now being picked up by larger media outlets - at least larger than us blogosphere readers.
That is the funniest thing I have ever read. Denmark, of all nations - considered hostile??? Its funny how the warped mind of Jihadists seem to see their murdering counterparts and terrorist sponsoring states as reasonable, but yet find a peaceful, open, tolerant and democratic state like Denmark as hostile. There is something funny in the state, but it sure as hell isn't Denmark. Perhaps Muhammed Atta's compatriots should take a long hard long at themselves and fellow islamic fundementalist state extremists before making such bizarre, and woefully ignorent statements.
So let me get this straight ..some danish cartoonist draws up a few pictures that accurately tell you what is going on (a bomb in Muhammed's hat is afer all very apt!) and all of a sudden Denmark is "hostile" and "very hostile" to Islam? Islam seems to imbue its followers with a type of malignant narcissistic megolomania --its disgusting.
I know one Christian Copt from Egypt who fled there to raise his family here in Canada. He told me of how DAILY they would find ways to humilate or make life really hard for Egyptian chrisitians but would get enraged if anybody said Egypt was intolerant against their Christian faith! Adel (my friend) remembers one man who lost his job at a factory because he said that Epypt is very intolerant against other faiths to another coworker (a 'friendly' muslim). This Christian man was a deacon at a local church and the government specifically refused to give them the proper licences to rebuild part of a damaged roof, meanwhile mosque repair is allowed and encouraged). This is a common type of tactic it seems in Egypt. But I bet in democratic Denmark they dont give you a hard time if you want to build a mosque on your privately owned property do they now?
Its Egyptians in general who are "hostile" and "very hostile". Cry me some crocidille tears o Epypt. puuleeeeeeease
PS Egypt was mostly Christian in the recent past --where are all the Christians there now? Could it be that *gasp* Egypt was hostile to them??
Yeah, the state of Denmark is a real threat to them, they might Moslem kids away from the path of jihad by offering them Legos.
Here are those "very hostile" Danes trying their best to give aid to Egypt. This is from Daniel Pipes' blog:
By a showing of hands on July 10, the Egypt parliament graciously but narrowly approved the acceptance of €60 million in loans from the Danish taxpayer for such projects as provising drinking water, setting up an electricity generation wind farm, and building grain silos. Opposition members insisted, however, that the hand count was inaccurate and opponents actually outnumbered supporters of Danish aid. One member of the ruling party member, Mustafa el-Katatny, explained his attitude: "I feel bitter in my heart towards Denmark but I accept the agreement if it is in Egypt's interest."
the country was known in Egypt mostly for its dairy products.............................
To me, Egypt was known for the pyramids and the Nile....not for the jihadists, burkas, FGM, and silly muslims.

.............
This is from the linked article:
The crowd did not disperse until the appearance of two girls wearing the Khaliji ebaya (loose outer garment worn by women from the Gulf) walking alone down the street. The young men surrounded them completely and a large number of them pressed against the girls and removed the veils they were wearing, and attempted to remove their ebayas, while 10 and 11 year old boys slipped inside the ebayas from beneath.
.............
This is just one of many assaults chronicled in the above article.
So much for the idea that veiled women are "respected" and safe from sexual assult. I'm sure these girls in full abayas were very provacative--or not. Another hideous aspect of this is the rapist mob involving boys as young as 10 in their maraudings. So sick.
Denmark is continueing to pay the "tax" to Egypt. And if they don't, would we expect to see an invasion of Denmark by the Egyptians?
I thought with all of the advancements of Islam and commerce and such Egypt wouldn't need the aid.
Silly me.
God willing, of course.
He Who Laughs Last alert:
The Jyllands-Posten website reports that the Egyptian Vice Minister for Tourism has been visiting Denmark in a desparate attempt to bring back tourists from our country, who, for reasons unknown, heh heh, have been avoiding his country for some time now. Asked about the opinion poll, the Vice Minister replied that it was flawed, and that Egyptians are friendly towards everybody.
Soreee Saheeeb, no special price faux Egyptian artefacts for me, no sireee.

I would never make the mistake of using "man" in the same sentence to describe an "Arab" male.

Yes, those nasty Danes!!It only seems like 1015 years ago that we were paying them Danegeld (Viking jizya).
I think Egypt should continue to boycott Danish exports (Carlsberg, pornography and Bacon)
Tak, godnat.
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! As someone said on another thread, you could cut the irony with a chainsaw.
60 million Euros in loans? I bet that won't be paid back.
Man, I wish moslems would view Germany as an enemy.
Maybe we'd have fewer of the demons slithering around here.

What is uffe? I have an idea.. :-) We call them muftis.
lol, it's been OVER A YEAR since the cartoons were published, and they still haven't gotten over it. Unbelievable.
Denmark is a pretty racist country but I don't think that is what makes Egyptians think it is hostile.
