Yesterday I alerted you to a jihadist website, "The Ignored Puzzle Pieces of Knowledge." Well, Mr. Puzzle Pieces, who calls himself InshAllah Shaheed (Marytr, Allah Willing), was unhappy with all the attention. Today he has posted "My open letter to Jihadwatch.org."
I wrote yesterday that his site "conducts jihad recruitment through Qur'anic exegesis," so today InshAllah Shaheed responds, "As for this website, please provide proof that I have actually recruited people." But of course, I didn't mean that he was recruiting in the sense of signing up people for the great effort, but in the sense of trying to win over the hearts and minds of Muslims by appealing to their religious obligations as delineated in their holy texts. And in this "open letter," he's still at it. Who would not want to join the great struggle after reading something like this:
As for this website, please provide proof that I have actually recruited people. It is only from your evil desires that you wish to propagate that which will hurt the Muslims; and I pray to Allah that he breaks your hands and poisons your tongue so that you may never propagate your lies again. And if it doesn’t happen in this life, then only by the will of Allah, I will be the one laughing at you from Paradise – enjoying its eternal pleasures - while your body is dragged through spikes that pierce deep within your body, and you are only given to drink foul smelling pus and boiling water – which only makes you vomit and burn your insides - and eat extremely sour and thorny fruits – where if it to be dropped in one of the oceans of this earth, all of the oceans and even the lands of the earth would be destroyed.
In this the pious man demonstrates his awareness of the Qur'an's many passages about the damned being made to drink boiling water and having it poured over their heads: 6:70; 10:4; 14:16; 22:19; 37:67; 38:57; 40:72; 44:46; 44:48; 47:15; 55:44; 56:42; 56:54; 56:93; 78:25; 88:5.
Then he goes on to quote Sahih Muslim 4294, which I have quoted here many times. In it, Muhammad directs his followers to offer their enemies conversion, subjugation, or war -- and so Mr. InshAllah Shaheed offers those choices to us.

Some of you seem to have a misunderstanding regarding my intentions. I did not preach that we must slaughter every single non-Muslim for the purpose of them being non-Muslim.
I don't know what he is talking about here. Obviously I have never said any such thing.
Rather, I have been repeatedly stating that we, as Muslims, are obligated to hate you for the sake of Allah because the fact is that you are non-Muslim; and if you can’t take it, then Alhamdullilah because one day, in the West, it will become extremely clear to the majority of who belongs to the Truth and who belongs to Falsehood. We will continue preaching the Truth until you feel like killing every single Muslim; and this has already started by the ones you worship the most: The Government. In fact, you worship your government more than you worship your own god – that is if you are a follower of a Religion. And only the people of understanding will know the truth in this.
Well, I know that isn't true of me, or of many people here, but I know what he means: he is referring to those who would prefer to live in a society in which there is no established religion than in one governed by religious law. I think the Founding Fathers were wise to include the provision of non-establishment in the Bill of Rights, as misinterpreted as it has been in recent decades; it is a framework by which people of different creeds can live together in peace. But if one believes that it is the will of the Almighty that Muslims should enjoy a privileged position in a multireligious society, as mandated by Sharia, then one will look upon the principle of non-establishment only with contempt. And call it government worship, or some such.
Mr. Shaheed also rails against Muslim moderates as not following true Islam -- as I have pointed out many times, jihadists do this routinely, and moderate Muslims have formulated no effective Qur'anic response.
Many of you seem to be very frightened and surprised by the fact that I openly preach Jihad for the sake of Allah, as it is ordained in our Religion. Keep in mind, I only preach that which is in the Qur’an and Sunnah; and those who tell you that preaching from these two sources is not necessary, do not listen to them; even if they call themselves Muslim since Allah says,يٰأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ آمَنُوۤاْ أَطِيعُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلاَ تَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ وَأَنْتُمْ تَسْمَعُونَ
وَلاَ تَكُونُواْ كَالَّذِينَ قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَهُمْ لاَ يَسْمَعُونَ
إِنَّ شَرَّ ٱلدَّوَابِّ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلصُّمُّ ٱلْبُكْمُ ٱلَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ
O ye who believe! Obey Allah and His Messenger, and turn not away from him when ye hear (him speak). And be not like those who said, ‘We hear’, and they did not obey. For the worst of creatures in the sight of Allah are the deaf and the dumb; they are those who understand not. (al-Anfaal: 20-22)
That's Qur'an 8:20-22.
Later on, after some grievance propaganda, Mr. Shaheed refers to some episodes from the life of Muhammad, invoking the Prophet of Islam's example as normative for Muslims today:
If you are aware of Islamic History, O American, you are then aware of what happens to the enemies of Allah. Take heed from the example of the Jews of Khaybar! Take heed from the example of the Battle of Badr! Take heed from the example of the Battle of Khandaq! Take heed from the battle between the Muslims and the Persian Empire! Take heed of the army of Salahuddin al-Ayyubi when he declared Jihad against the mammoth sized Crusader Army of 300,000 or more and was reduced to 1,000!Know that Islam, as Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alayhe wassallam) said, is meant to be dominant and not dominated (Sahih Muslim). As long as we are not engulfed in the life of this world, we become the most dominant force on earth. And as you can see, O Americans, our nation is heading in this direction. Our Religion teaches us to choose the life of the Hereafter over the life here-and-now, and to live like Knights during the day and monks during the night. So beware of our emerging power and know that honor belongs to Allah, His Messenger, and the Believers.
Know, O Americans, that we have with us people who love death the way you love the dollar! And we cannot live until we die since this life is a prison for the believer and it is a Paradise for the disbeliever. You fools enjoy this life to the fullest when in reality, it is temporary and all of us will one day die and take back nothing to the grave except our souls – which were created to prepare for death by living a life of piety, truthfulness, and devotion to Allah. Paradise is real, Hellfire is real, and this world is only a test and trial from Allah, The Most High, to see who will realize the reality of this life and then act upon it accordingly.
Know, O Americans, that it was Ronald Reagan who quite rightly pointed out that, “How do you expect to defeat a people who believe that when you kill them they go to a Paradise filled with beautiful virgins and rivers of wine?” Muse over this question and you will realize that we die for the sake of Allah because Allah is real and this Religion of Islam is the only Truth until the Day of Judgment.
There is no doubt that throughout history the promise of Paradise, along with the promise of booty (cf. Qur'an, sura 8, etc.), made jihad warriors fight with extraordinary ferocity. But you will find, sir, that some Americans are not as soft, either physically or psychologically, as you imagine. And your battle will not be as easy as you dream it will be. As I am quite certain you will find out in the years to come.

We are now beginning to see the effects of large scale Muslim presence in France. Though less then 10% of the population, some 800 areas or boroughs are 'no go' areas for the police.
I wish France well. It is a beautiful nation, with a sense of pride in its culture, good food and wine, and a great sense of art. Thus, the dirty data about Muslims enters the brain, and out the other end Islam itself comes out smelling like a rose. The Apostle Paul says, "Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse." (Rom 12:14, NKJV)
And so today I have started praying for you and will continue to do so.
In the same section as above, Paul quoted the Book of Proverbs, saying,

If he is thirsty, give him a drink;
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.'" (Rom. 12:20, from Proverbs 25:21-22)
Obviously according to these verses a follower of Jesus can't pray for someone with the goal of making that person suffer. Still, the ancient Jews saw the psychology of the situation acutely.
So, Mr. Shaheed, know that there is a cranky, tenacious, persistent Christian who is praying daily on your behalf and is blessing you, not cursing you.
If the contest is whether we or you can hate better, I rather think you will win. But if the contest is who can love better, then God will win, no matter what happens to America, or to me.

I read Spencer's books early this year and it connected all the dots...or in other words, answered all my questions that I still had from those classes. I'm with Pilgrim on this one. Some of you guys need to take a cold shower. Do you have any muslim friends? I have some, who are quite faithful to "Islam" -- at least in their own eyes (not being a muslim myself I don't consider it to be my place to judge this) -- and I find many good things in it. Get to know a few muslims. There are many who know the value of love, loyalty, grace and justice, and who do not hate you just because you are an infidel. I value some such folks as good friends. Some I'd rather have over for dinner than a few of the folks posting here.
Of course I also know some of the "peaceful" apologist types whose "friendship" appears to be a manipulative tool for propagating Islam politically and by playing the "racist" and "Islamophobia" cards, and a few I suspect lean in inshallahshaheed's direction. Don't paint them all with one brush.
I realise that "Islam" and "Muslims" are two different things. The same thing applies here: In Islam are many good things. Separating them from the vile warmongering and hatred for disbelievers is not easy; perhaps impossible. But some muslims appear to have found a way to live praiseworthy lives while still striving to be faithful to it. Perhaps they cannot be 100% faithful without hating us, but some have struck a balance and found a way to live at peace.
We come here to stay informed about the virulent strain, and it's easy to get so fixated on them that one can forget about folks we meet every day, who are not all threats of this sort.

This is called the mechanics of Wishful Thinking. After the painful lessons of WW1 and WW2 and the Holocaust Europe really took an honest step back and we all decided that we simply cannot go on like this any longer. And we were right.
We made this equation without considering the hostile forces laying in wait OUTSIDE of Europe and the American and Australian and Japanese sphere.
All of us wished for Everlasting Peace but this is a Pipe Dream for now since we made this equation without all the "pieces" in place. We simply ignored more than our inner-European History.
At the end of WW2 there was no power that any of us could perceive as a threat at that time. We were sitting on top of our World which we'd made into rubble and now we all wanted to move on and have Peace.

I don't think that Winston Churchill truly wanted War with Germany, but he saw that the logic of events could lead to no other conclusion. And thus he took the neccessary actions which he knew he must take. God bless him.

I am a Christian too Eliasalucard, and I also find these things offensive. But the offense is not a reason to abandon the example of Christ. Grace is offered to the worst offenders: consider the Apostle Paul. Pray every day for the salvation of the worst Islamist you know, and that God will help you love them. For all you know, Inshallahshaheed may one day have a Damascus Road encounter and become a 21st century Paul. God is not willing that any should perish.
Hate will only consume you from the inside out. We have a weapon of which they can only dream -- the weapon of raw, limitless love (I Cor 13). It would be a shame if we didn't wield it. We must resist tyrants and protect the innocent, and this may mean the use of violence. But it should not mean that we abandon the principles at the heart of our own faith.
As far as giving offense, I have found that walking in someone else's shoes helps put this into perspective. It is offensive to me that a religion comes along 700 years after Christ, decides to rewrite most of the bible and throw out the rest, call our religion a corruption and themselves the fulfilment of it and proclaims that they worship the same God as us -- when that God commands hatred and violence toward unbelievers whereas the God known to Christianity demands the opposite. Yes, this is a huge offense; it matters not how much they claim to embrace and enfold other faiths -- I, for one, do not wish my faith to be associated directly with their poison!
But consider the position of Jewish person of faith. We worship a blood relative of theirs as Messiah and God -- a combination they find repugnant. Should they accept that Jesus is the long-awaited messiah? We hold that the law is "fulfilled" in Christ and no longer applies in its form of rituals, we toss out the old Hebrew religious traditions as unnecessary and speak of the Church as the true Israel, applying all of God's promises to Israel our own group. I can imagine a Jew being quite seriously offended by all this. It is no trifling matter to make such claims and pretend to sweep up all the pieces of their faith into the dustbin and proclaim it to be replaced by our "new, improved" model. You see, I think that a Jew must respond (speaking mainly about theological doctrines here, not matters of love, hate, politics and violence) to Christianity in much the same way as we respond to Islam -- with a certain revulsion.
Yes, I believe we are right and Christianity is all of the above (in less abrasive language than I've used here, of course) -- but I believe we must show grace and understanding, and not be surprised if our message is not received with open arms. We must also know how to live at peace with those of other faiths and to love those who do not love us (or we are no better than the Islamists Matt. 5:46).
The "moderate muslims" are the soothers to calm down the real victims, in order to have their cause furthered with other means like t-error.

To do anything fully, including thinking, requires love, and the more love, the better the thing can be done, whatever it is (apart from destruction undertaken merely for the perverse pleasure of destruction). In love, raised to sufficient purity, intensity, and freedom, there is something directly perceptible as "divine," or perceptible as having some of the qualities typically attributed to the "divine."

I don't see Archimedes2 counseling the withholding of weapons. I thought he was talking about the inner attitude toward the enemy, regardless of whether one must wield a weapon against him in a particular situation or not.
I saw his statement about how we "may" have to use violence as meaning merely that in some situations we will have to, in others not. The unsureness only refers to whether violence will be necessary in a particular situation, not whether violence is necessary. All he was saying with the statement about violence, I think, is that he's not a pacifist. But you construed his use of "may" as indicating that he was unsure violence was ever necessary to oppose tyrants and defend the innocent. I guess we would have to ask him.

Like most reasonable people, I am willing to trust others. The trouble with our liberal democracies is that they too, trust everyone. For this reason, we need to take action, REAL action against Islam by protecting our democracies against it. It is very clear that Islam has a historical tendency to do whatever is necessary to promote Islam. This, of course, makes lying (saying Islam is peaceful, denying yet promoting and funding terrorism, etc.) a religious act.
It is madness to allow Islam to benefit from liberal principles such as equality, freedom of speech when they have nothing but contempt for it yet use it against us. Muslim actions and words deliberately subvert and undermine democratic government in their favour. If we allow this to continue, we face the perversity of democracy being used to overcome all other peaceful, tolerant religions. We face a future where our own constitution is used to replace democracy with crass religious totalitarianism.
Islam is unconstitutional, undemocratic and unacceptable and it must be held accountable to international law. Islam needs to be pursued LEGALLY in the United States, the UK and Europe where it is responsible for undermining freedom and democracy. Where I come from, deliberately lying with the ultimate purpose of overthrowing the democratically elected government is called "treason".
I suggest that we "infidel" start taking REAL action NOW before crackpot liberal politicians start taking a liking to the numbers of Muslims as voters. We are already on a slippery slope and Islam is already threatening to undermine the freedom and principles that were so carefully established by the founding fathers.

I admire your posts, particularly your letter to "Mr. Shaeed." It helps emphasize the fundamental differences between Islam and Christianity.
As for your objections to Islam being the exact opposite of Christianity, I'd have to say you make some good points since Islam does claim many of the same tenets. It's Islam's innovations that are problematic. As was recently quoted, "Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."
I'm sure I'm not alone in viewing it this way, but I think Inshallahshaheed's website performs an invaluable service in alerting non-Moslems to the threat that is coming their way. In spite of the poison that comes from this person, one must never give up hope that he may yet be reached by an antidote. But one must at the same time remain vigilant against the threats he is so clearly and unambiguously making.
