Trading anything for peace is an illusion, but Bush and Olmert are still living under the fantasy that a "two-state" solution will bring peace. It won't! Just ask the Christian Palestinians still living under the rule of the PA. Peace (and justice) is better served by a three-state solution.

1. A secure Israel, with its Christian minority but minus its muslim demographic time-bomb.

2. A Christian majority Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria with a strong and secure Jewish presence. The Palestinian Christian population will supplemented by accepting Christian refugees from Iraq and other Muslim countries. This Christian Palestinian state will be in federation with Israel for trade, defense, and economic development.

3. After the Muslim interlopers are humanely transferred out of Israel and Palestine, they can establish their own state in Jordan.

Israel should adopt this as a solution since the Jordan river is a more naturally defensable boundary while marring the land with "security walls" is innefective and unjust to the Christians and Jews living in Judea and Samaria. Most importantly, it does nothing about the Muslim demographic nightmare. Of course the UN and Europe will scream about the population transfer, but the argument can be made that having their own Muslim state in Jordan is actually more humane than living as unaccepted and hated exiles in other Arab countries.

If Israel is to trust the Palestinians, first the Palestinians need to demonstrate that they are mature enough to be trusted. Of course, if the Palestinians had any maturity, an agreement of any kind would be unnecessary, because they wouldn't be attacking Israel, without whose goodwill Palestine will never be more than a misery and a failure.

There is a general misconception that Islam seeks friendly relations with the People of the Book, that is, the Jews and the Christians. In fact, Islam is hostile to the members of these religious groups as it is to idolators such as the Hindus. However, this is another matter that the Jews and the Hindus suffered terribly at the hands of Islam, but the Christians, though initially bore its brunt, eventually succeeded in steming its tide in their lands.

No matter what the adherents of Islam claim about the brotherly outlook that this religion is supposed to have toward the non-Muslims, its basic doctrine, which seeks survival through intense communal strife, cannot be hidden. The Muslim scholars know this truth very well but they deliberately resort to misinterpretation. They do so, though falsely, to demonstrate that Islam is an eternal religion, which adapts itself to all ages and circumstances. Without this stance, Islam, the advocate of ferocious social principles and practices, cannot survive; it must have a humanitarian pretence in our age, dedicated to free speech and human rights. One must remember that it is only the Islamic countries, which amputate human limbs for trivial offenses, and hang people for the most innocent criticism of the Prophet.

I may come straight to the point and demonstrate that Islam gives no real preference to the People of the Book: the said tolerance is just a euphemism without any substance at all. It is because Islam declares itself to be the only true religion, which has the duty to dominate all other faiths, and eventually abolish them. See the truth for yourself:

"And when Allah took Compact with the Prophets: That I have given you of Book and Wisdom: then there shall come to you a Messenger confirming what is with you - you shall believe in him and you shall help him; do you agree? They said, 'We do agree'. Allah said, 'bear witness so, and I shall be with you among the witnesses'. Then whosoever turns his back after that - they are ungodly." (III - The House of Imran: 75)

It is not easy to understand these verses. In a nutshell, they mean that even before people were created, Allah convened the assembly of the Prophets' (soul) and asked them to promise that they would tell the communities of their followers about the coming of Muhammad and instruct them to embrace his religion.

Obviously, Judaism and Christianity ceased to exist in principle, the moment Muhammad declared Islam. The Hadith No. 284, The Muslim, volume one, says that any Jew or Christian, who heard of Muhammad but did not convert to Islam, and died in disbelief, would rot in hell! Thus Islam withdraws from all Jews and Christians the right to believe in their faiths, and pratice them as such.

The Koran goes even as far as to declare about Abraham:

"No: Abraham in truth was not a Jew, neither a Christian; but he was a Muslim and one pure of faith; certainly he was never of the idolators." (III - The House of Imran: 60)

Abraham was the Jewish patriarch; by quoting him as a Muslim i.e. the follower of Islam, Muhammad claims that he observed the Compact that he made with Allah in the Assembly that He had convened before the creation of mankind.

However, there is an ambiguity in the Koranic approach, which gives the impression that Islam is tolerant of the Jews and Christians:

"Dispute not with the People of the Book save in the fairer manner, except for those of them that do wrong; and say, 'We believe in what has been sent down to us, and what has been sent down to you: Our God and your God is One, and to Him we have surrendered'." (XXIX: The Spider: 45)

These verses apparently indicate tolerance with the People of the Book i.e. the Jews and Christians. It is because at that time the Prophet was not militarily strong enough to impose his will on them. In fact, he tried a policy of carrot and stick. When persuasion failed, he told them what he thought of them:

"The unbelievers of the People of the Book and the idolators shall be in the Fire of Hell therein dwelling for ever; those are the worst of creatures. But those who believe, and do righteous deeds, those are the best of creatures..." (XCVIII: The Clear Sign: 5)

Here those Jews and Christians, who spurn Islam, have been lumped together with the idolators such as the Hindus, and classified as 'the worst of creatures'. Therefore the Koran commands:

"O believers, take not as your friends those of them, who were given the Book before you, and the unbelievers, who take your religion in mockery and as a sport..." (V: The Table: 60)

In the same sura, the Koran states the same fact more emphatically:

"O believers, take not Jews and Christians as friends; they are friends of each other. Whoso of you makes them his friends is one of them..." (V: The Tables: 55)

It means that if a Muslim makes friends with a Jew or a Christian, i.e. becomes one of them i.e. a Kafir, that is an unbeliever.

Thus the people you have been attacking on here are basically right. Though emotions can run high the truth is not easily hidden.

Even if you wanted to give the jewish people a chance your beliefs do not let you do that.

...The records of history simply do not confirm today's Palestinian claim of Palestinian roots and culture in a "verdant area" since the Arab rule of the land (A.D. 640-1099).

Did the Jews expel the Arabs from Palestine? Are there no more Arabs in Israel?

* If this piece of propaganda were true, one should indeed not find Arabs in Israel. That some 15% of the population of Israel is Arab (Muslims and Christians, although the Christians are not technically Arabs) with full voting and civil rights with members in parliament - certainly disproves that propaganda. There were, of course, Arab refugees as a result of the War of Independence in 1948 and the Six-Day war in 1967. There were as many Jewish refugees expelled from Arab lands during this time period. The difference is that, in Israel, the Arab states encouraged the Arab residents to leave Israel temporarily while they exterminate the Jews. Some Arab residents went along with this scheme expecting to come back and take Jewish property after the Arab victory. But there was no victory, and no return. The Jewish residents of Arab lands, on the other hand, were expelled without provocation by their Arab overlords who seized vast amounts of Jewish posessions and property. The Jewish refugees were absorbed almost immediately by Israel and France. The Arab refugees were left to rot by the Arab governments responsible for their predicament, and were put in camps which became breeding grounds for hatred and extremism. Well Yankee_boy, you've basically made my point about the whole "illegal occupation of "Palestine" issue, but I wanted to hear it from a duped Islamic nimrod first. I think it would have been more fun that way, but apparently "Ramon" either isn't capable of answering the question, or he's commanded by his superiors not to.

Thank you YB for that history lesson which was backed by facts and references. I wish every news source in the world would run that as a front page series so the "palestinian myth" would be shattered and islam would be seen as it is, a violent and ruthless cult that will use any means they deem necessary to further their goal of world domination.

ISLAM & THE ANTICHRIST: A REAL CONNECTION!

I was dumbfounded when I read this -- President Bush once bragged that he had "read the Bible from cover to cover a total of three times". When I sent him a letter professing my disgust at how he has been more of a friend to the Muslims than he has to our faithful friends in Israel, I referenced this remark and asked him if he had tried to RETAIN anything he had read. For, if he had, he would've seen that our Lord GOD Almighty -- our Lord I AM -- had inserted numerous warnings that anyone who curses Israel or divides up the land that He, Personally, gave to them is going to have to answer to H-i-m (and "it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God").
I can't help but think that poor Ariel Sharon's tragic medical condition is the result of God removing him before he could do any more damage with President Bush when he tried to buy to give up Israeli land that was not his to give for a false peace (Ohmert should heed the warning). As for Bush, all any USA President eventually cares about is being immortalized in history, and what better way is there than to be the one who finally brought about peace to the troubled Middle East region? They don't care HOW they do it -- even if it means selling out a longterm friend, which Israel has been to the United States -- and, while they may claim to have studied God's Word, they think they can ignore His declaration that He, alone, will restore Israel in the Last Days during the Great Tribulation; they choose to heed their greedy ambitions by forcing themselves as the instruments of that peace. It will NEVER happen ... except for a brief 3.5 years under the false peace treaty with the Antichrist! How can people be so blind????

It's also fascinating to learn that Islam is also awaiting for their version of an apocalyptic savior. Shiite Islam, which dominates Iran (specifically the Twelver sect) is waiting for the 'Mahdi' -- also known as the Hidden Imam or the 12th Imam. According to this sect, the Mahdi is the "righteous" descendant of Muhammad who supposedly went into hiding in AD the 9th century at age 5 -- but allegedly kept in contact from AD 878-AD 941; at that time, all communication ceased. He is rumored to return near the end of the world -- a return preceded by global chaos, war, & bloodshed -- and he will accomplish worldwide peace after a catastrophic showdown with dark, evil forces. Doesn't this sound very close to the Biblical teachings of the Apocalypse?

But wait -- it gets better! According to Islamic end-time viewpoint, the Mahdi will rule the world for SEVEN YEARS, bringing about the Final Judgment & end of the world. This seven-year reign should raise the radars of every Christian, as it correlates perfectly with the Book of Daniel's claims about the Antichrist setting up a Peace Treaty with Israel for SEVEN YEARS, and then breaking that Treaty after 3.5 years! Is it possible that the Muslims are the very population who are destined to fall hook, line, & sinker for the Antichrist when he arrives (thinking he's their prophesied Twelfth Imam) and who will help set him up in power initially? While travelling in Europe last summer I saw an Arabic looking man. Obviously he thought himself as being a 'Palestinian' since he wore a pendant around his neck in the colors of the 'palestinian' flag and in the shape of the state of Israel. Not the West Bank or Gaza but the whole of Israel. That reminded me again that this conflict has never been about a piece of land here or there but about the very existence of Israel. If Israel gives away land to get peace, she will loose the land and get only more war.
Incidentally, I saw that in a country that is supposedly forever indebted to Israel for the crimes it committed against Jews, and where Nazi symbols are banned. Now, how much more Nazi can a symbol be than one denying the right for Israel to exist?
And I also wonder which of these 'peace plans' will lead to that seven year peace treaty in the end. God bless Israel.
