Omar Shahin calls for boycott of US Airways

Omar Shahin, one of the imams removed from the plane, has links to Osama bin Laden and Hamas. "Five clerics removed from US Airways fly back to Phoenix," by Martiga Lohn for Associated Press, with thanks to Twostellas:

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Six Muslim clerics who were refused tickets by US Airways booked a flights back home Tuesday on another airline, but it still wasn't clear what led to their removal from their original flight.

The imams had attended a conference in Minneapolis of the North American Imams Federation, said Omar Shahin of Phoenix, president of the group, who was one of those removed from the flight. Three of them said their normal evening prayers in the airport terminal before boarding the Phoenix-bound plane, he said.

"They took us off the plane, humiliated us in a very disrespectful way," Shahin said after the incident on Monday night.

The next morning Shahin called for Muslims and non-Muslims to boycott US Airways unless the company changes its ways. "They know what they have to do, they have to be fair and just with everybody," he said....

Airport spokesman Patrick Hogan said some witnesses said some of the imams made anti-American comments about the war in Iraq before boarding the flight, and that some of the men asked for seat belt extensions even though a flight attendant thought they didn't need them.

"There were a number of things that gave the flight crew pause," Hogan said. It wasn't immediately possible to verify whether the passengers who reported suspicious activity witnessed it themselves.

Shahin said Tuesday that three members of the group prayed in the terminal before the six boarded the plane, although on Monday night he said they had prayed on the plane. They entered the aircraft individually, except for one member who is blind and needed a guide, Shahin said. Once on the plane, the six did not sit together, he said.

"We did nothing" on the plane, Shahin said Tuesday.

Shahin said no one from the airline asked the six to leave, but when police arrived, the group complied....

US Airways Group Inc. issued a statement saying it was interviewing crew members and ground workers to find out more about what happened.

"We are always concerned when passengers are inconvenienced and especially concerned when a situation occurs that causes customers to feel their dignity was compromised. We do not tolerate discrimination of any kind," the airline said.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations planned to file a complaint, said CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper.

"Because, unfortunately, this is a growing problem of singling out Muslims or people perceived to be Muslims at airports, and it's one that we've been addressing for some time," Hooper said.

Watch for the criminalization of investigations of Muslims in airports.

"'this is a growing problem of singling out Muslims or people perceived to be Muslims at airports, and it's one that we've been addressing for some time,' Hooper said"
-- from the article above

He has a point. There is a problem, because the security services in American and other Western airports have not done doing nearly enough to single out of Muslims or people perceived to be Muslims, and instead have absurdly spread their searches wide and therefore thin, and inconvenienced tens of millions of non-Muslim airline passengers, sacrificed on the altar of you-know-what.

I'll bet US Airways will do a BOOMING business.

What idiot infidel will heed this call?
Never mind-I forgot about Islamania's lapdogs.

A muslim free airline? HELL YEA!

These people are their own worst enemies. Dumber than boxes of rocks. I guess that is what you get when the only thing you study is the koran.

I just changed my airline and re-booked my flight to Las Vegas on US Airways. It cost a significant amount of money to change but if there are no muslims aboard it will be worth every penny.

"Sensitivity" trainers, get your resumes ready!

well. if they don't like it. let 'em buy a fast camel.

I just called US Airways and expressed my appreciation. Many people are calling and the airline is paying attention - call and give your opinion at 1-866-523-5333.

There's nothing like another contrived scandal to bring Muslims together in outrage.

We aren't Europe though.

(Yet.)

I've been calling for a Muslim boycott of airlines for 5 years now! Thanks for your support Sheik Omar!

Ibrahim Hooper Says:
“Unfortunately, this is a growing problem of singling out Muslims or people perceived to be Muslims at airports, and it’s one that we’ve [CAIR] been addressing for some time.”

Unfortunaltely, there is a growing problem of Muslims or people percieved to be Muslims trying to blow shit up at airports, and it’s one that CAIR has not been addressing for some time

http://www.warning1938alert.ytmnd.com

I mostly fly on American and Delta, but I think I'm going to start flying US Airways as much as I can. Anything Muslims boycott must be good! ;-)

US Airways has just become the safest airline to fly.

"Omar Shahin calls for boycott of US Airways"

I suppose these people wouldn't think of taking up this issue with the creators of it? Al-Qaeda!

"They took us off the plane, humiliated us in a very disrespectful way," Shahin said...

Yeah , there is nothing worse than being humiliated disrespectfully, they should complain that they weren`t disrespected respectfully.
Duh !

Can you say the word "provocation"?

We are not used to this kind of political behavior. Act oddly for a purpose: to elicit a response from which you can rally the umma, many of whose members have no compunction about defending the dignity of their most vile co-religionists, all as part of an emotional pathology, all to help the cause.

The means are varied, but the end is Islamic supremacy. When will the West respond with vigor, from the borders to a demographic renewal?

How many ghastly sermons are we going to hear about the "unfairness" of this incident, how many apologies? Will Representative Conyers make impassioned speeches in support of the civil rights of provocateurs?

"Because, unfortunately there is a growing problem of singling out muslims or people perceived to be muslims at airports, and it's one we've been addressing for some time," Hooper said.

Their starting to see the big picture from the civilized world. Yes, we don't care for your constant whining;it can sap the joy out of everyone's day, yours included. What's joy you ask? Oh never mind! Point is these calculated tests are usefull for seeing how far they can push the envelope. It's a few years away before they can expect people to be completely desensitized to this sort of exhibition. Believe me, the guns are locked and loaded in both directions.

Hi Jimmy the Dhimmi,
Are you still trying to talk sense into Esmay's thick skull?

Everybody should send thier congressmen an email opposing the support of house resolutiion 288. John Conyers IS going to send this resolution to the house floor again next year. If enough constituents contact them they will listen. If it passes it will only encourage bad behavior from muslims because Islam will be a protected religion in the eyes of the federal government. The Immams are teaching it in the mosques in preparation for it. By the time it goes for a vote, you will see more and more staged events.

Omar Shahin, one of the imams removed from the plane, has links to Osama bin Laden and Hamas.

Really, I am shocked I tell you, shocked.

Next you will be telling me they want to convert the whole world to Islam and have non believers live under oppressive rules and pay poll taxes just for having a different faith.

What if US Airways were to release a statement to the effect that "US Airways strongly condemns discrimination against innocent civilians." Would the Moslem community be mollified? What more could they possibly want?

My note to US Airways Customer Relations Department Email Address:

I have read and heard the news about the six Muslim imams being deplaned on a flight out of Minneapolis. I wanted to write to you and thank you for putting the safety of the rest of the flight's paying customers over the demands of the six imams.

Thank you very much. People are very concerned about security during air travel these days and we have many legitimate reasons. Attempts to hijack or destroy flights are recent news. The plot originating in Britian comes to mind immediately.

Air travel is not a right in the United States or any other country on Earth. Thank you for enforcing rules and protecting the majority of people on the Minneapolis flight.

Just a sec. They weren't sitting together. They weren't praying together. Er, just how did the cops figure out which half dozen to eject? Was it "All Muslims please raise your hands"?

GOOD NEWS: Muslims flying options are growing smaller and smaller:

US Airways Bids To Acquire Delta And No. 1 Rank

Washington Post
Thursday, November 16, 2006

"US Airways Group Inc. yesterday launched an $8 billion bid for Delta Air Lines Inc., a move that would create the nation's largest carrier and possibly trigger other airline mergers in an industry recovering from a major downturn."

"The next morning Shahin called for Muslims and non-Muslims to boycott US Airways unless the company changes its ways."

Yes, this is a good idea... I will boycott US Airways, and all other airlines that transport passengers who belong to 'religions' which have as as their prime directive, to either force me to convert to their religion, or to forcibly accept status as their subhuman slave, or to have my head forcibly removed from my body.

I would have to be nuts to want to be on the same airplane as a Muslim... unless the Muslim in question was an Apostate, with a death sentence on his/her head, same as me.

"They know what they have to do, they have to be fair and just with everybody," he said...."

Again, I agree.

I support absolutely, that Muslims in the USA deserve to be treated precisely and exactly the way that Muslims treat Jews, in Saudi Arabia, and Iran.

What could possibly be more fair and just than that?

Since our country is big into outsource business anyway:

Israeli security services at our airports anyone?

Nancy Pelosi, the Democrats, and CAIR must be fuming...

And that's good! And good for US Airways and good for America. It's time someone cared about the safety of our people. Next we need to remove the imamas from North America before they murder any more people here.

And................

"This is a growing problem..." blubbers Ibrahim Cooper.

Well, a growing problem for WHO?? Terrorists?

An obvious stunt designed to prove "Islamophobia".

Pathetic.

If the quote unquote "moderates" had their way, it would be illegal to criticize Islam at all.

Islam is all about deception and psychological manipulation. Just look at the brainwashed people following it.

Islamists love propaganda. They love to spook the general public, draw fire and make a good week's worth of propaganda out of it.

Islamists getting people to "falsely" (term used loosely) accuse them of something actually furthers the Jihad.

"The IHRC activism includes spinning world events to portray Muslims as perpetual victims, never as perpetrators."

It happened in a Shoney's restaurant in 2002.

It's better to burn out than fade away.

TELL ME JW BLOGGERS....Who will not favor US Airways, a newly dubbed jihadi free airline?

If only those jihadis were not such liars...hmmm

Well this just makes my day. I called grandma's number and waited till I got through. Congratulated them and encouraged them to stick by their actions. I'll be rebooking flights even with Delta FF miles left. Of course, Malinios makes me think I won't have to give them up, now.

Support, support, support.

e-mail to US Airways:

Thank you for looking out for passenger safety on the Minneapolis flight. I fly frequently and spread my flights out among six of seven airlines. If you stand strong in support of your fully appropriate actions towards a group of Muslims looking to make a political statement, I will make it a point to use US Airways whenever possible.

http://www.usairways.com/awa/content/contact/generalform.aspx

Great posts....

alexon - I agree completely. Although CAIR et al feel they are very clever, their transparent ruses are not believable to more and more Americans. I still can't understand why CAIR continues to be allowed to operate in our country (time for another letter to my Senators).

grandma - thanks for posting USAirway's telephone # (1-866-523-5333): I just got off the phone with them and the representative was very appreciative for the positive feedback regarding the airline's action and that I'd be using their services.

Good one Limes!

Here's the one I sent:

U.S. Airways is to be commended for removing the six Muslim imams from it's flight to Phoenix. Thank you for putting safety and justice first and imam's objections last.

The Associated Press reports I've read don't explain this but most passengers seem to recall that something bad happened on Sept. 11 a few years back. And although it was a long time ago and our memory is fuzzy , we could've sworn that foreign visitors of the Islamic faith were somehow involved.

Fortunately no laws criminalizing detaining and searching of Muslims are in effect. If there were, they would have a chilling effect upon efforts to investigate jihad terror activity in the Muslim community, not to mention a chilling effect upon continued air travel by non-muslims.

The potential hazard of submitting to the victim posturing by the ejected imams is that it encourages a double injustice: the injustice that real victims have not received justice, and the injustice that those who do not deserve compassion as victims have received it. By enforcing the rules, U.S. Airways has avoided any injustice.

I look forward to future successful flights aboard US Airways.

So This is the answer to all our dreams

Simply get every Islamic booted of the airline of your choice

They boycott them all, happy safe non-Islamic flyers again

Ladies and Gentlemen, I believe we have just WON a good victory

Now Just the Buses, Trains, western/non Islamic streets………………….

So This is the answer to all our dreams

Ladies and Gentlemen, I believe we have just WON a good victory

I'm sure the flight crew had good reason for removing them from the plane. I wasn't there, so I don't know exactly what was said. But they know they have to be politically correct, so it must've been something that really gave them concern over these particular passengers. If you chant anti-American slogans on a plane, that should be the same as if you say the word "bomb" on a plane. FBI is called, investigations begins. Period.

"One of the Muslim scholars removed from a US Airways flight on Monday today called for imams around the country to boycott the airline after employees refused to sell him new tickets for his flight home."

Great!!! Not just imams, but all muslims should boycott US Airways.

US Airways will probably get a hefty reduction of their insurance premiums!!!

And when the next time I fly, I'll fly US Airways!!!

It's about time the tide has turned for most of us who don't impose the moral or religious beliefs we are allowed to nurture inside upon others. If unassimilated people wish to stand in an airplane chanting about 'Allah', they must realize they have been taught a lesson on behaving properly in public. The same holds true for anyone who would wear a mask while going about their day. Before any of this islam crap, a person wearing a mask was getting ready to do something they didn't want to be recognized for! These silly muslims are getting all bent out of shape because WE don't assimilate to THEM...! Maybe U.S. Airways will take the lead, if the time ever comes, in transporting all the islamists and muslims back to the stoneaged part of the world they hail from. There they can chant in public, live in mud houses on dirt streets with diapers on their heads & be hap-hap-happy!

Muslims in a bar, I am shocked. MINO Mulsims or jihad Muslims trying to fit in?

I have heard enough spoken Arabic to know that "Muslim" or "Moslem" is usually pronounced Mooselim. I think it should be spelled that way.

I just returned from my trip on US Airways, to read about IMAM evections! Boy, am I glad I made the right choice: US Airways!

US Airways has my business.

Ejected imam linked
to Hamas, bin Laden
Spokesman for 6 Muslim clerics
barred from US Airways flight

One of six Muslim imams pulled from a US Airways flight in Minneapolis last night by federal authorities is affiliated with a Hamas-linked organization and acknowledged a connection to Osama bin Laden in the 1990s.

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=53057

Right now, I love US Airways! Soon as they apologize (tomorrow or as soon as their lawyers urge them to and grovel to CAIR they shall) ... then I won't love them.

l just saw the famous Richard CLarke on abc world news that airlines should just tell pasengers not to be scared of muslims, just because muslims are different.. what a crackpot! l am sure richard clarke (who allowed the saudis to fly home after 9 ll) flys on private jets. its a good thing he was let go when from the government!

Fox News is reporting that a passenger on this flight heard the imams praying in the waiting area before they boarded the plane. It is reported that the passenger heard the imams making disparaging remarks about the USA during the prayers. Once everyone boarded the plane, the imams did not sit together and were acting strange, in her opinion. Thats when flight attendants were made aware of her concerns.

Let me see if I've got this straight. 19 Mooslims fly 3 planes into 3 U.S. buildings killing around 3000 people. Their goal is payback for U.S. treatment towards Mooslims and to terrorise the people of the U.S., therfore called terrorists. 6 Mooslim imams are heard making negative remarks about the USA during prayers before boarding a US Air flight. This scares/terrorises a passenger on the same flight, which leads to the imams being removed. And the imams are screaming the victimhood crap.

To all Mooslims reading this post, I'm only going to say this once. You dumb asses. Your fellow Mooslims of the ummah brought this crap down upon you. Now you want to cry the victim BS. Boo-freakin-hoo(Michelle Malkin). Get use to it. It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

OT: The assasination of the Industry Minister of Lebanon today has really got me PO'ed. I take it personally because we are of the same faith(Christian).

I've flown maybe 30 times and never heard of anyone asking for a seat belt extension.

Although it seems more likely that these guys were provocateurs, you might consider whether they were also testing the defenses of the airline.

This idea was run up the flag pole somewhere else on the JW blogs today and it makes a ton of sense--well I am adding a title though.

We have Jihad Watch and Dhimmi Watch, how about--"ISLAMIC MODERATE WATCH?"

Here on "islamic moderate watch," JW could post the daily smorgasbord of islamic attacks, rapes, hijackings, protests, beheadings etc. and we could watch for any islamics to register dissent on the jihadi acts and what they are doing to stop it (hmmm.)

Each day JW could tell us which (are there ever any?) CAIR? or other "islamic moderate" person or organization will go on record as denouncing their jihadi brethren.

--"ISLAMIC MODERATE WATCH" its time has come!

I am almost certain others have beaten me to the punch.. dsince I see well over 50 posts already..

PLEASE DO BOYCOTT US AIR, you muftis! Please make my day! That will mean that from this day on I shall fly USAIR exclusively..

Ahhh.. the peace of mind.. PRICELESS!! Nothing but nice Americans around me too. :-)

Liberals should join their mufti friends in the boycott. Since liberals are the reason these foes are now among us. So please go fly with them.

HALLELUYAHHH!!!!!

I'm confused. Why were these six imams flying on an infidel owned airline to begin with? Why didn't they call on their all-powerful god to whisk them away on a white flying mule/donkey (the "half mule, half donkey, with wings on its sides" described in accounts of Muhammad's Night Journey). Unless... perhaps they lack faith in Allah.

If Christians had done something similar in an airport in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Malaysia, or many other Islamic countries they would have been arrested, put in jail for years or executed for anti-Islamic activities.

What if US Airways were to release a statement to the effect that "US Airways strongly condemns discrimination against innocent civilians." Would the Moslem community be mollified? What more could they possibly want?

What is US AIRWAYS were to release a statement to the effect that "US Airways condemns the outright provocations and threats of moslems against our traditional passenger base and we urge them all to GO TO HELL!"

How about THAT statement?! I'd even start buying stock if they did that. :-)

Laker you are SO right if it wasnt sad it be funny.
Thats why I dont suffer fools who say "Christianity and Judaism" is like ISlam. yeaaaah right-oh.

ou get the picture: Sure, Muslim fundamentalists can be pretty extreme, but what about all our Christian fundamentalists? Unfortunately, for the old moral equivalence to hold up, the Christians really need to get off their fundamentalist butts and start killing more people. At the moment, the brilliantly versatile Muslim fundamentalists are gunning down Maryland schoolkids and bus drivers, hijacking Moscow musicals, self-detonating in Israeli pizza parlours, blowing up French oil tankers in Yemen, and slaughtering nightclubbers in Bali, while Christian fundamentalists are, er, sounding extremely strident in their calls for the return of prayer in school.

Anyone get the names of the other five, besides the one whose name and "friends" are known?

They look to have got what was wanted, kind of like the peace protestors who go out of their way to get arrested.

I just read this on Frontpage Magazin Online:

It's time to clear up the politically correct mess we've been subjected to since this happened. The men in question have been repeatedly referred to as "American." Let me make something very clear: being a U.S. citizen does not make one an American. Being an American is a frame of mind, which includes commitment and loyalty. These are not dirty words despite what the Left Elite in this country want you to believe.

I agree 100%. I am German - as my screen name implies - and I consider myself both American and German. And I hope I will never have to choose, but it looks longterm I will have to choose tthe Red White and Blue! I've defended the U.S.A. when I was a school child in a German classroom against an avowedly and openly communist techer in class - the other kids' jaws dropped when i stood up and challenged that "teacher's" statements and i was subsequently elected class president - per write-in. I hadn't cast my lot in the election. The silent majority chose whom they wished to represent them! They just didn't have the words to say what needed to be said! Which is why they asked me per their secret ballots to represent us all. Thus I ended up in a decidedly leftist student council... and I spoke out when they passed their little anti-Israel resolutions. Most of my fellow students talked to me in private to let me know how much they appreciated that I gave voice to the voiceless.. and they hoped I would continue to speak up. So here I am. MOST of us Germans want to continue to be friends of the WEST and that includes ISRAEL. Just too bad that so few of us have the gall.. the anger.. to speak out loudly against injustice and against faulty logic. Logic is something that Germans can be vowed with ;-)

Well I think it's a shame these muslime creeps were thrown off a respectable aircraft before take-off. I would have waited until we were at least 30,000 feet!

"They took us off the plane, humiliated us in a very disrespectful way," Shahin said..

How did those three christian girls feel...that ended up beheaded in Indonesia...shove your religion cair!

After about 8 years of hearing about numerous plots by moslems to blow up airlpanes...beginning with the plot to blow up 10(?) airplanes over the Pacific that was thwarted in the Philipines and ending with the item posted on JW today about the plot it Ireland....it's no wonder that people are cheering the USAirways crew for taking action!!!

Fool me once shame on me. Fool me 20 times...you're a threat to my safety.

Well, if ya don't want to be humiliated and disrespected....DON'T DO CRAP TO GET YOU HUMILIATED AND DISRESPECTED!!!

The question is, how can these bozo's be anymore disrespected and humiliated than any other person asked to deboard, such as the breast feeding mother, or a drunk that was on one of my flights a couple of years ago? These guys aren't special.

ALLIES

Thanks for posting the address. Here is my note of support. And to CAIR I say, F you. Our lives and the safety of our loved ones are more important than your feelings. Take some free miles and STFU:

In light of recent events, I wanted to express my support for your company and the right of your company and its professionals on and off of airplanes to protect the safty of all of your passengers. I hope you continue to err on the side of safety and that you actively pursue any suspicious or percieved suspicious behavior and make your staff feel comfortable doing so. All people of good will of all backgrounds who simply want to arrive safely at their destination will support your efforts. If you do inconvenience a passenger who is mistakenly thought to be dangerous, I am sure, if that is indeed a person who understands our current climate, you will be able to apologize appropriately.

Best regards,

I forgot to mention that I myself did call US Airways and praised them repeatedly and explained why -- and the representative on the phone sounded genuinely happy to get my call, not just someone getting paid to make me believe they were happy to get my call. My opinions were recorded, noted and passed on to record keeping. You better believe that US Airways is savoring every positive call!

The more people that email and call US Airways the better for our nation -- voice your support for their responsible actions ASAP.

I could say many other things about the American Muslim community at this moment, but none of it would be gracious or kind, so it's probably better that I refrain (for now).

This and the incident where CAIR is jumping into action to work with the New Haven police to help track down... those nasty Islamaphobes who put up posters of Mohomet with a scimitar and a severed head, really, really piss me off.

On the first it is, as I said, that they think their feelings matter more than our right to protect our lives and not be made into missle cargo.

On the second, no kuffir can depict Mohamet as Muslims have, proudly, for centuries, as he is depicted in the Koran and the Hadith, with a sword, standing over severed heads. Moreover, THAT is how they work with police?

Its gone beyond farce.

They deserved the humiliation.
Muslim imams are not peaceful. In Muslim societies they grow full of pride and promote the kind of psycology that leads youngsters to terrorism.
Then when things get violent they look the other way and don't even have the dignity of owning up to their fault.
I am so glad those imams were treated roughly, those puffed up self-righteous toads.

The U.S. is not like Iran or Saudi Arabia. I thought you were proud of that fact, and yet here you are saying you should become like them in the name of "fairness." Why? So everyone is equally miserable? Is that all your limited imaginations can aspire to?

The U.S.A. is one of the greatest countries in the world, and it has acheived that greatness precisely by doing all these things that piss you off so much, i.e. taking seriously the ideals and principles of freedom, equality, and fairness, even when it starts to get a bit intellectually challenging. Many, many times in history, your leaders have managed to rise to the challenge in a way you guys can't seem to be able to do.

It's peculiar how so many of the American posters here are among the most anti-American I've ever heard.

"Has links to Osama bin Laden" is quite a stretch.

I believe that these episodes of weird-acting muslims on planes are part of a concerted effort to accomplish several goals. The first goal is to portray muslims as persecuted victims. Hooper at CAIR is trying to start another civil rights movement, this one for muslims. Stage enough theatrical events like the one last night, wail and lament the miserable plight of muslims in America, and next thing you know, hate speech laws, special privileges, and the familiar old routine will be replayed in America, at our expense.

Part of their scheme is to get the hate speech laws passed so nobody can criticize islam. They also want to scare people enough that they will quit flying, resulting in a loss of revenue for the airlines; sue the already struggling airlines to cause further financial distress; disrupt air travel causing delays and scheduling conflicts. Their ultimate goal is to break down the screening procedures and instill fear in the airlines, airport personnel, and airport security. These people will be afraid to challenge a muslim no matter how suspicious he looks for fear of losing their jobs or being sued.

If the new left-wing Congress criminalizes the scrutiny of suspicious muslims or makes it difficult for security personnel to properly protect the public, the repercussions could be devastating for the airlines. Many people will quit flying or seek alternative ways to travel when possible. They better think long and hard before they put the majority of the American public at risk from the hostile but miniscule muslim population. Regardless of the muslim constituencies of a few of these clueless legislators, our collective security is far more important than the egos of a few muslim traitors. The new Congress could trigger an avalanche that would have devastating effects on the airline industry and its many affiliated industries.

When muslims become exempt from extra screening and scrutiny simply because they are muslims, I won't fly any more. It would be suicide. And that's what CAIR is aiming to do.

I just saw an article written by Robert Spencer on Google's News Front Page.

I went back to link the page but the article had already been removed.

I think whoever posted the article on Google thought it may have been written by the Left because the title of Robert Spencer's article compared the 6 Muslimes detained at the airport to Rosa Parks.

I wonder if CAIR would protest 6 Jews removed from an airplane in Saudi Arabia for praying, after they were beheaded first, of course.

Gotta love those Muslimes.

If moslems are boycotting U.S. Airways, that's the airline I want to fly on.

Dear Stanhope:

You stated, ""Has links to Osama bin Laden" is quite a stretch.'

Not really when you think about it.

They both worship and read from the same book which advocates death, destruction, and lying, i.e. the Quran.

The Quran, Hadith, and Muhammad are the foundation upon which they all build their faith.

Was it a stretch to link a member of the Nazi party to Hitler and Mien Kampf?

angloirishslav, You say;

"How about respecting the values and principles of your great country's Constitution, esp. that one about religious freedom?"

You mean the same "religious freedom" that slammed 4 aircraft into the ground on 9/11!

I just sent my email to US Airways customer service (sorry for the cut & paste of some prior posts):

Dear US Airways:
I have read and heard the news about the six Muslim imams being deplaned on a flight out of Minneapolis. I wanted to write to you and thank you for putting the safety of the rest of the flight's paying customers over the demands of the six imams.
People are very concerned about security during air travel these days and we have many legitimate reasons. Air travel is not a right in the United States or any other country on Earth. Thank you for enforcing rules and protecting the vast majority of people on the Minneapolis flight.
I fly over 50K miles per year. Although being based out of Minneapolis/St. Paul limits my choice of airlines, I try to spread my flights out among airlines. If you stand strong in support of your fully appropriate actions towards a group of Muslims looking to make a political statement, I will make it a point to use US Airways whenever possible.
I look forward to a safe and comfortable flight on US Airways on my next trip 12-13-06, which I booked prior the incident at MSP.
Again, thank you
Sincerely,

The U.S. is not like Iran or Saudi Arabia. I thought you were proud of that fact, and yet here you are saying you should become like them in the name of "fairness." Why? So everyone is equally miserable? Is that all your limited imaginations can aspire to?

EXCUSE ME... We do NOT wish to be ANYTHING like KSA or Iran. So we are suggesting mechanisms of healthy self-defense. And we deride our cowardly "leaders" - desperately seeking leadership here.

The U.S.A. is one of the greatest countries in the world, and it has acheived that greatness precisely by doing all these things that piss you off so much, i.e. taking seriously the ideals and principles of freedom, equality, and fairness, even when it starts to get a bit intellectually challenging. Many, many times in history, your leaders have managed to rise to the challenge in a way you guys can't seem to be able to do.

Last time something worked was the Cuban Missile Crisis. Dhimmi Carter sure did NOT rise to the Hostage Crisis he had occasion to rise to! Unless you are satisfied with the outcome of that one! I know I'm NOT! And, yes, we do feel our current "leaders" aren't up to most intellectual challenges - or else they'd understand the logic of not applying the Geneva Conventions to an enemy who is a. not a signor to said treaties and b. is in brazen contrast to anything the Geneva Conventions require. Thus a logical politician would surmise [unlike McCain] that there is not possible worse treatment of a prisoner than beheading and having their bodies mutilated [as the enemy recently did to two of our Marines] so therefore there is nothing we can do by way of "nice" treatment of the terrorists we capture that will give them cause to alter their despicable behavior. They are waging Total war against us and we stand by and wring our hands at how bad we are??!!!

Yes, if this simple logic is intellectually challenging to our dhimmi-pols and their PC supplicants than YES - that IS cause for CONCERN!

It's peculiar how so many of the American posters here are among the most anti-American I've ever heard.

Here is how US Airways is backing off:

Dear Valued Customer:

Thank you for taking the time to contact Customer Relations at US Airways. Your comments and perception of US Airways are very important to us.

We are aware of the situation involving six customers on US Airways Flight 300 from Minneapolis to Phoenix on the evening of November 20th, and are diligently conducting our own investigation. We are debriefing crewmembers and ground personnel as well as working with local law enforcement. We will cooperate fully with all of the appropriate law enforcement officials to determine the facts surrounding this incident.

We are always concerned when passengers are inconvenienced and especially concerned when a situation occurs which causes customers to feel their dignity was compromised. We do not tolerate discrimination of any kind and will continue to exhaust our internal investigation until we know the facts of this case and can provide answers for the employees and customers involved.

Thank you for sharing your comments and allowing us the opportunity to explain our position.

Sincerely,
M. Bartlett

I'm ashamed of the ignorance displayed here. The cmments from Ms. Bartlett of US Airways Customer Service is so lame.

Most Americans have no concept or understanding of the Islamic world. They believe what they are fed on Fox News.

Since there are nearly 2 Billion Muslims and only about 100 Million Christian zealots - it would seem that Americans need to learn that most people everywhere want the same human dignity.

I avoid US Airways and so do my employees, the 20,000 people my netowrk supports, and my family.

However, not because they are ignorant and treat Muslims badly.

Everything one imagines about bad airlines is represented by this Valley-based carrier:

1. Bad departure and arrival history
2. Uncomfortable and outdated airplane fleet
3. Poor service
4. Too much lost luggage
5. Insensitive to family emergencies
6. Employees seem to be angry with their jobs
