Our own holy men could respect their Muslim brothers, as well as their own countries, by showing tough love instead of platitudes of one part goo and one part mush. They could explain to their Muslim brothers why they can't always practice their rituals as Islam is practiced in Islamic countries. The incident aboard a jetliner of US Airways the other day in Minneapolis is instructive. The details are in some dispute, but what is not is that six imams -- Muslim holy men -- were denied boarding after they created an incident and were briefly detained. Other passengers said the imams made a row with a show of praying, punctuated with shouted slogans about how Allah and Saddam Hussein are great and the United States is not. When an airline clerk denied him boarding one imam shouted: "This prejudice. This is obvious discrimination. No one can argue with this."
But arguing with "this" is exactly what we must do if we bring the Muslims under the fraternal umbrella -- of what, in better times than these, was called "the melting pot." The imams should be told, forcefully, that making an intimidating row of rituals is not the American way and won't be permitted. If a half-dozen Catholic priests insist on conducting a Mass aboard an airliner, they will be told to stop it. Six Baptist preachers won't be allowed to conduct a revival meeting amidst either the cheap or expensive seats. Jewish mohels can't perform circumcisions aboard (even for volunteers). We don't do things like that in America, and no apology is forthcoming.

I wouldn't be concerned with sitting next to a praying Catholic priest. Nor, a praying monk. Neither of those religions have threatened to kill people.

The problem is, muslims have this idea in their head they can do what when and where they want. If they were real "scholars" like they think they are, it would have never happened. They're just shoving crap in our faces.

The handful of Catholic, Protestant, and Jewish clergy (one of each, I believe) who offered public solidarity by appearing with Shahin, disgust. The decisions of the pilot and the crew should be final. If for any reason they feel it best to remove a passenger or passengers, that should be it. Those who attempt to make points about "civil rights" in this case and who express this "solidarity" are being dangerously cruel to those pilots, those crews, those other passengers. They are playing fast and loose with matters of life and death -- our lives and that of all Infidels -- all for the sake of their own moral preening.

Respect is a two-way street. Muslims, especially those of the "holy men" persuasion, are the least likely to have respect for their adopted countries, and they consistently encourage their flocks to exploit and demean the very nations that granted them asylum and/or citizenship. Why should we respect these people who have nothing but contempt for our country and its millions of non-muslim citizens? People who chose to come here for various reasons, the most likely being to join subversive islamic groups that exist to create contention, disunity, and contrived civil rights violations.
The U.S. Airways incident was obviously a well-planned scheme to stir up a hornet's nest and advance the islamic agenda. Every radical muslim in America has hopped on the bandwagon to publicize and decry islamophobia in America, and to play on the sympathy of our new Democrat congress that is already poised to enact new legislation giving islam special rights and privileges. In other words, they're just dying to protect the very people who hate us and are the most likely to harm us. Today's political climate is surreal; our enemies are treated like innocent victims and nobody gives a damn about the issues that matter. Politicians of every stripe are competing with each other to see who can grovel, appease, and express the most eloquent apologies for the sins of our ancestors, while the minority cliques battle each other over which is the most persecuted. IMHO, the best form of prayer is the silent private prayers that are said, not to get any attention, but to God directly. In truth the imans are in the wrong because not only they were praying to get attention but create a scene.

If they didn't get a response with their noise and prayers they would have elevated to another incident.. and since all of them spoke accented English I'm sure they could have held a private conversation in Arabic or Urdu, rather than loudly (and it had to be loudly) voice their opinions in public.
As regards the Jewish and Christian Clergy, they merely believe that they are protecting themselves, their own prerogatives and excesses by defending the muslims. If the religious practices of muslims can be restricted and penalized then by their reckoning so can theirs.
And they are of course correct... The problem is then organized religion, the state sanction of religion, such as tax exemption and Faith Based iniatives and offices and the Chaplaincy program...for these exemptions and program make ALL religions who apply and accept them, instruments, and thus beholden to the state.

It is out of support for state and media-sponsored multiculturalism. Since islam is so closely associated with arabs, and other non-whites, non-westerners, the leftists, and the PC mentality they created from 1968 onward, means that liberal churches must kiss muslim ass in order to stay on the left side of the PC line. You won't find any praise for muslims from Pat Robertson. Diehard Christians are this country's only shield from islam. We certainly can't count on the secularist ACLU, now can we? This mess is therfore not the fault of Christianity. American had no problem with any of this prior to the muslims coming here as of late. For 200 years Christian America had no problems like this. But once the liberal idea of letting in all kinds of third world immigrants, coupled with the liberal, leftist idea of treating all third world cultures as equals, coupled with the leftist idea of denigrating Christianity in favor of islam, then and only then did we start to have this problem.

Let us hope that US Airways never backs down from the actions their employees took in Minneapolis last week. The note that was past to a flight attendant was but a part of the concerns that where voiced.

US Airways stood up to the group the following day and told them that they will not be allowed on another US Airways flight. They where able to get a flight on standby on Northwest that following day without incident.
If anything else does not work, at least the market place might work in America. There are less than 2 Pct. Muslims in America, but could we find some big stockholders among the Sauds for US Airways? WE know the Sauds have or had investments in many large companies in America such as Fox news who surprisingly showed the movie obsession last week.
Will we see newly elected Muslim house representative Keith Ellison come to the support of tomorrows demonstration against US Airways even before he takes the oath of office on the Quran;" God forbid" literally I would hope?
And of course we know that the Muslims at this meeting claim to have raised nearly $620,000 in support of CAIR which is a terrorist enabling organization if there ever was one.
They are certainly lining up to give Muslim influence to the new Muslim representative Ellison who also attended the meeting.

The only "fraternal umbrella" or better said "melting pot" for these imams and the other followers of Mohammed should be at a high enough temperature to vaporize rather than melt them.
Reason for that? You will find that they will not "melt" and mix with the population. Hence, vaporization is the only solurtion.

All of this would make great performance theater if it was done somewhere off-Broadway! Maybe they could play Enigma during the performance.

How do we change that? Seems like you cannot VOTE in anyone who will actually DO something! And the media is a good-awful mess! Even Rupert Murdoch and his NY POST endorsed Hitlery for Guvnor recently. She who was shown in just that same NY POST kissing Yaser arafart's [may he ROT in HELL!!] wife.
