Thousands of angry Muslims marched through southern Somalia on Friday protesting alleged Ethiopian and United States aggression as fears rose of all-out war between powerful Islamists and the weak government.Amid soaring tensions following the collapse of peace talks this week in Sudan, at least 3 000 demonstrators rallied for holy war in the town of Jilib, spurred on by vitrolic rhetoric from hardline clerics, witnesses said.
"We saw peace talks in Khartoum derailed by Ethiopia and its puppets," said Sheikh Mohamed Omar Mursal, the leader of the Islamic court movement in Somalia's Lower Juba region.
"Our people are ready to protect their religion from the enemies of Allah," he told the cheering crowd, two days after negotiations failed, with Islamists demanding the withdrawal of Ethiopian troops allegedly in Somalia.
"We are ready to fight you, Ethiopia," Mursal vowed, repeating claims that about 12 000 Ethiopian soldiers have been sent to protect the government.

Muslimspeak for "The infidels failed to cave into all our demands. Now we must slay them".
I'm still waiting to see any stories of the West supplying Ethiopia with some weapons for the upcoming extermination campaign. No luck yet.

'Enemies of Allah', thats just about everyone. It's very convienient to be able to invoke Allah/god everytime you want to do a dastardly deed. 'Allahu Akbar' worked well for Mohammad. If it was good enough for Mohammad, it is good enough for Mursal, and the rest of his fellows. He blames Ethiopia and the US in one place, and refers to Ethiopia and its puppets in another. Is he infering that the US is a puppet of Ethiopia? And where was his condemnation of Jews and Israel? He missed his big chance...the international spotlight was on him, and he did not mention apes or pigs even once...maybe next time...

If you intend to subjugate a body of people and use them as the tool of the few annointed beautiful people and if your belief system is a hollow... what better way to give it a hard shell that to galvanize the people around it to defend it from the external 'devil'. History is filled with examples of this as is literature. Focusing the people on the external devil/infidel/jew/enemies/capitalists/polluters of the truth/black men/sinners
is the most effective way to distract the people from realizing the chosen few have nothing to offer them and are using them to their selfish ends.
Look at Iran, Venezuela and North Korea today. I watched an interview with a National Geographic reporter the other day who spent time in North Korea... she said that people in that God forsaken place are willing to 'sacrifice for the good of the nation' since they have been told by the chosen few that North Korea is at constant war with the outside world. This is the only set of ideas the people have access to. While a noble sentiment, it's a tragedy. We can't even call it misguided since the people have no other source of information to use in decision making.
Plague...there must be a few people in NK who know that Kim and his merry men are shucking and jiving.
Probably there are a lot who know a lot...they just keep their mouths shut...

I agree with the idea that people inside North Korea would know it's all a lie, some people. Their numbers would be few. They would be 'the brightest'. Think of how few in islamic nations can break completely from Islam. Very few... and those people have more and varied outside sources of information. North Koreans as a rule have only the information the government gives them. How can most form an opinion or idea if they have nothing but what Kim Jong Il wants them to have? I don't think that we can put our minds around how stifled the people are. If all you have is what Kim Jong Il tells you... you can't even begin to 'think' as we understand it.

I swear to Allah these kooks have to pick fights with EVERYBODY in the whole damn world. They would probably declare a jihad on Samoa or Antarctica if they could somehow get there in sufficient numbers. These people really are nuts.
Maybe somebody should start working on some kind of medicine to cure this murderous plague called Islam. Fund the project with a worldwide telethon if need be.

Instead of starting to build their country from the ruins of the long bloody civil war that took the lives of millions, Somalis are intent to go on Jihad againts Ethiopia. It is suicidal, neurotic and plain stupid. What does Ethiopia has to do with it? As if the seccession of Eritrea was not enough. Eritrea seccession is perhaps defensible and well deserved.
But as for Ethiopia,I am not sure what is happening. Perhaps there is something I do not know about. Micro politics. Perhaps there is a Western countries driven military build up in the region to counter the newly established Sharia government in Somalia. What is wrong with military build up anyway? Wouldn't that be evident to do so just in case the Insanes of Allah start to wage war against the peaceful Christians? We can best be prepared to respond quickly to any newly emerging AlQuaida training camps and Islamofanatic sheikhs moving to this new ideologically fertile land of Somaliland of islam. The Ethiopian Orthodox church will need all the help it need, because if AlQuaida will be able to get a stronghold in the region, Jihadists and former StPaul/Minneapolis residents Somaliheads will primarly target the Christians.

There is an aggressive delusion amongst the Muslims that the lands which they overrun once, always remain Muslim lands. believing the Muslims have a birthright to invade any non-Muslim land on the pretext of converting the non-Muslim population to Islam, the victims of the Muslim invasion have no right to eject the Muslims! They have to meekly subject to the will of the Muslims, who invoke the name of a fantasy they called Allah.

Muslims need to fight and conquer other places so that they have resources and so that none of the Muslims realizes they are feeding a black, sucking vortex.
Islam can't do much on its own. It needs to be fed. It can't build something out of Somalia. This is why Somalialand will never be anything more than it used to be and why they insist on taking the fight to neighboring Ethiopia.

Islam can't do a damn thing on its own except destroy. Virtually nothing original has come from it, except ways to destroy. The Koran has virtually nothing original-the few sensible and positive points were stolen from the Jews and Christians. Take that out and what do we have? More stuff about destroying.
If the West ever falls Islam will be finished because it does indeed feed off of it. The West has ideas-they steal them. The West invents things-they pervert them. The West tries to improve the world-they try to send it backwards.
If Islam somehow does win the whole world will look like Somalia.
As if we didn't see this coming.
