"We will celebrate our atomic achievements in February." With fireworks, Mahmoud? From Al-Bawaba, with thanks to Sr. Soph:
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Sunday those who voted for a UN nuclear resolution against the country would soon regret it, the official IRNA news agency reported.“This resolution will not harm Iran and those who backed it will soon regret their superficial act,” Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying. “Iranians are neither worried nor uncomfortable with the resolution ... we will celebrate our atomic achievements in February.”
On his part, Iran's top nuclear negotiator said the country will push forward immediately with efforts to enrich uranium, a newspaper reported Sunday. "From Sunday morning, we will begin activities at Natanz — site of 3,000-centrifuge machines - and we will drive it with full speed. It will be our immediate response to the resolution," Ali Larijani told the Kayhan newspaper.
Regret passing a resolution that means precisely nothing?
Perhaps we will when he turns Tel Aviv to glass.
the UN will send him another nasty letter all in caps this time, as they mean it now.
This will be remembered as the last opportunity the West had to stop Iran BEFORE they had nuclear weapons.
History will say , " what were they thinking? "
or " where was the UN? "
It will make a great History lesson for future generations to ignore, just as we ignore the lessons of Nazi Germany.
I take it Ahmadinejad is stupid enought to celebrate the first atomic bomb by demonstrating it at home to his family.
So let us see now; didn't Mahmud A-mad-ding-job just threaten the followings countries.
China, France, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom ,the United States ,Argentina,Denmark, greece,Japan, and the United Republic of Tanzania—
Of course it will get interesting when we see how the UN's new incoming Security Counsel team behaves as to adding additional sanctions in 60 days in the year 2007 of course if Iran does not comply
Here are the new members of the incoming team along with the permanent members of the UN Security Counsel;
Republic of the Congo,Ghana,Peru,Qatar, and Slovakia along with the permanent members.China,France,Russia,The UK, and the United States.
This UN insanity has gone far enough! Our enemy is booting up his weapons. Either we or Israel must strike Iran down full force RIGHT NOW or we will face the terrible prospect of millions of our citizens dying in a horrific nuclear first strike. We can no longer afford silly political correctness. Our own lives and the lives of our countries are now in mortal danger. There is no time left to lose..........
Beasty Boy sez: “This resolution will not harm Iran and those who backed it will soon regret their superficial act,”
So if all they want nuke power for is to illuminate light bulbs, what is Iran going to do to 'cause' that 'regret'?
Lots of Iranians are unhappy with Beasty. Students at a university boo'ed him off the stage during a speech recently. They shouted 'death to Ahmadinijad' and held his picture upside down. He better hurry up and raise Mahdi, if the 'students' rally against him, he will need all the help he can get.
I can see the nasty E-Mail right now in all those caps.
I can see the anal cranial inversion thinking of mister nutjob.
I am not making atomic fuel for a bomb. (Right now)
If I am forced to be inspected, I will be able to show that I am not making a bomb. (I will put all the toys away before my room is inspected)
I can show that I am being harassed if I am inspected and no one finds anything. (Usual Islamic-Muslim defense)
By telling the world I am being harassed, I can get my toys back out to play.
Our economic impetus for getting oil out of the ground and for my population to live like kings is not there because Muslims don't have to work. When our people immigrate to western countries, the can live on the dole very easily. Here they will starve. We have a lot of them anyway.
We don't have reliable delivery systems for weapons. Well, other than by foot soldiers. This makes no difference however because if the infidel crusaders come, we will neuc our communities. Then we can blame the crusaders.
“This resolution will not harm Iran and those who backed it will soon regret their superficial act,”-- Hitler II in Tehran
Well, he's right about it being superficial.
I don't have a clue to what Non-Proliferation means?
Well, with North Korea, Russia, Pakistan, India, Iran, China, United States, Austrialia, France, and England we just as well be all Non-Proliferators of Nuclear Power; maybe Africa and the Eskimos should be included too ? Who are we going to shoot at, if someone makes a mistake ?
Hey Mahmoud- we ALREADY regret that the U.N is so spineless that they can't back up their threats- but mind you- the rest of the world can- You think you want a fight? Just say the word- http://sacredscoop.com
well I wonder what the UN minute backers of his resolution at the regret, unless the rumor that Iran has. Some surplus Russian warheads or or missiles, and thinks that hitting London and Washington, DC will make the world dance to Iranian Islamic sharia tune if you recall, Iran's thug in chief has followed a pedophile prophet when he issued call for. The USA to accept Islam, and Muhammad said. It for you attack to offer the infidel, a chance to embrace Islam. And when they don't you then can attack. And this idiot, just might think, you over age nuclear warheads just might make him invinceable they USA and Great Britain both have some subs carrying missiles that could retaliate and not be detected with
"You'll regret it! When we reform violence in Islam, learn to live in peace with our non-Muslim neighbors, use our nuclear power for peaceful purposes, and build a prosperous and pluralistic society, then you'll regret those hurtful and powerful U.N. resolutions. You will look back at your cruel words and wonder how you could have been so wrong about our peaceful intentions."
Yeah. I'm sure that's what he means.
Well, those sanctions have certainly put the sh*ts up the Iranians then, and no mistake.
God bless the UN, eh?
I've never been in favor of assassinating other world leaders. That can only get into a vicious circle of assassination and counter assassination.
But one can only wonder how things might have turned out had the British and French taken Hitler at his word in Mein Kampf, and had him killed. Both the British and French intelliegence organizations were perfectly capable of planning and executing such an operation, and no one would have been any wiser.
Think of the death and destruction that would have been avoided. But, of course, this is all in hindsight.
But I wonder if -- in hindsight, of course -- people in the future won't ask the same thing about our handling of Ahmadinejad and the other nut cases that run Iran.
Of course, they'll be asking the question after the fact that Tel Aviv, Rome, London and some American cities have been reduced to ashes.
I think it's time to reconsider our policy concerning political assassination in light of what Mr. Ahmadinejad says he's going to do when he acquires the tools to do it.
Let's not make the same mistake Britain and France made with Hitler. This is a nuclear age, and we can't afford the luxury of a wait-and-see policy as they did.
Anyone ever notice that when Muslims take over, newspapers disappear, tv disappears, the internet disapears, non Muslim churches disappear, non MUslim people disappear, invention disappears, education disappears, law and order disappears, and generally speaking any form of a decent and happy life disappears.
If all this is going to disappear, then I prefer to go down fighting. They will have to pay for it. Better to die Free, than to be enslaved.
exsgtbrowns' arguments are too strong to be even slightly contradicted. Islam just turns good men bad and good things bad. No wonder, right from the founder of that religion, all the spiritual / political heads of Islam have been psychopaths. The contribution of Muslims to science, technology, medicine, economics etc., has been too poor for their billion plus population.
The supreme irony is that the Muslims seem to love to wallow in such a stupid state !
I'm not sure how seriously Ahmadinnerjacket's prophesy is to be taken. After all, he also promised that the night skies over Jerusalem would be illuminated on Aug. 22/06 because of the Hidden Imam's reappearance. Then, there's also the reality of the recent elections in Iran and the growing unhappiness of the general population.
The terrible economy aside and human rights abuses aside, how smart is it to be building nuclear installations in some of the globe's must earthquake prone regions?
