With threats of more to come. "Islamist group says it carried out Algeria attack," by William Maclean for Reuters:
ALGIERS (Reuters) - A militant Islamist group linked to al Qaeda on Monday claimed responsibility for the weekend bombing of a bus carrying foreign oil workers near Algiers, and warned of further attacks.
The Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC) claim came after the United States urged its citizens in Algeria to review their personal safety following Sunday's attack, the first on Westerners in the North African country in many years.
"We reiterate our call to all Muslims in Algeria to keep away from the interests of the infidels to avoid harm ... once (these interests or individuals) are targeted," GSPC said in statement posted on the Internet.
The authenticity of the statement, posted on a Web site used by Islamist militant groups on Monday, could not be verified.
The attack in the upmarket Bouchaoui district, 10 km (six miles) west of Algiers, killed the Algerian driver and wounded nine people, including four Britons and an American. Many Algerians and foreigners were alarmed that militants had managed to infiltrate one of the country's most secure areas.

GSPC, which has ties with al Qaeda, urged Muslims to stay away from Western interests in Algeria. In 2004, GSPC declared war on foreign people and companies.
"We bring tidings to the crusaders and apostates that they will face what they dislike," it said in the statement.
I'm not a big fan of military governments in general but they are preferable to having jihadists running amok.
The more one studies this belief-system, the more apparent it becomes that it is the only belief-system with any kind of doctorine that permits deception. This is in striking contrast to the mandates of Christ, Buddha and others against deception. Christ condemned hypocrisy and rooted deception in the "evil one". Christ and others also links deception with violence. No wonder why Hitler and Himmler said that the Islamic belief system is compatible with Nazi ideology.
It's true.

I second that. I watched "Downfall" just last night-a movie about Hitler's last days in the bunker. The wife of Goebbels couldn't picture a world without Nazism so she poisoned all her kids before basically committing suicide. Same goes for the Islamaniacs-they just can't picture a world that isn't totally Muslim so they must destroy all or die in trying.

LOL!
Perfect timing: Algeria's two year stint with a seat at the United Nations has ended.
Time to call in the worthless UN to save the day
Sorry Frank, but I don't think that deception as part of the religion is limited to Islam.
For instance following l Corinthians 9, Paul justifies deception (being all things to all men) by
claiming it is intentions that matter (bringing men to the truth), which is what the Qur'an says about lying, deception, slaughter.. it is the intentions that matter.
Also the motto of the Mossad is "By way of deception do war".
Sales and marketing is deception, and evangelicalism, Da'wa is nothing but sales and marketing.
Dating, and prepping for dating, is the art of deception. Makeup, grooming, clothing is employment of camoflague, which is deception..
Deception is second nature to man, and is part of his survival kit.
Question is one of honesty.. and again very few pass that test as well.
