And the winners are...

UPDATE: I've asked Cox and Forkum to put both Wilders and Howard in the cartoon.

I had intended to keep the voting for the 2006 Dhimmi and Anti-Dhimmi Awards going all day, but some ballot-box stuffing from the Netherlands has led me to end it now. Dutch politician Geert Wilders has received thousands of votes during the night from viewers of only one site, and I think it is only fair that I throw them out -- especially since, as far as I can tell, those who voted from that site don't support Wilders anyway.

So now that we have our own version of the 2000 election scandal, and the Supreme Court has spoken, the winners are:

Anti-Dhimmi Internationale 2006...John Howard!
American Anti-Dhimmi of the Year 2006...John Bolton!
Dhimmi Internationale 2006...Jacques Chirac!
American Dhimmi of the Year 2006...Jimmy Carter!

Cox and Forkum are working on a cartoon like last year's, and when it is ready, we will hold the gala event of the year, the Awards Ceremony.

Hi Hugh,

Told ya mate.

Regards from Aust..

ditto from me, Applause!

Bolton, huh? Well if you ask me he's one hateful son of a bitch. Makes me wonder about the company I'm keeping here.

pneumatikon

The company you're keeping here are mostly americans.

pneumatikon~ You mean Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sihks? Blacks, Whites, Asians, Indians both Native and Eastern, Africans? Atheists, socialists, conservatives, liberals (in the Correct sense of the word)?

Yeah Gary's answer was better than mine

What Gary said.

Payingattention~ I can suppose that many would see this site and say 'Oh, those bigoted Americans.' There's really no way to tell except to actually read what some of the posters say about themselves.

Not that a good deal of the Left is going to be bothered with the Truth of the matter: that we have a rather diverse crowd here. More diversity than islam is willing to stand for...

I tend to focus on Robert's and sometimes Hugh's remarks. Most of the posters remarks I find just humorous.

Well, at least I got half of them right-Bolton and Chirac. I thought Bolton wouldn't make it. I still think citizen of the world peanut brain should have been placed in the International group but I congratulate him nonetheless-he IS the poster boy of dhimmitude.

IFL~ Now that you mention it, Carter's 'Christianity' IS the very embodiment of what nariz thinks of Christians. Soft. Weak. Addled... Hmmm. Grouping him with Pelosi was probably the correct arrangement then. We can probably count on Bill to be a future World Dhimmi in Carter's stead.

Bolton, huh? Well if you ask me he's one hateful son of a bitch. Makes me wonder about the company I'm keeping here.

We NEED a hateful SOB to deal with the UN. Now they're trying to foist millions of Iraqi m0slems on us... I WISH BOLTON were there to fight that off.

Do you think the m0slem UN ambassador they are proposing is going to represent OUR interests?

Bush got lucky the ballots are closed. Now that we see these plans of bringing in these millions of m0slems into the West.

Oh yeh, I forgot. We're figthing them over there so we won't have to fight them over here. What say you now, Rush Bloatmouth and San Vanity?

We WILL be fighting them here very soon. And maybe the Dhimmicrats can naturalize them in time for the 08 election.

GOOD WORK, George Dhimya Bush!!!

i agree with the results to a degree....

i disagree with the John Howard one.....he is as soft as butter left out in the australian summer....
he believes the same as most, that "islam is peaceful" and all dat....

john bolton was good, however no way near wafa sultun and walid shoebat.

jaques chirac spot on!!

hmmm jimmy carter....he no more a christian than he is a nazi, so spot on as well.

apoligies wafa and walid hould be the internation anti dhimmi......seeming they are not americans...soz for my mistake.

Am I the only one that saw Glenn Beck last night? My future hero, JustaDhimmi like me after all.

"American Dhimmi" I want a recount!!

Dear Robert,

Thank you for the great initiative of the 2006 Dhimmi and Anti-Dhimmi Awards. However, I would like to make a comment about the ballot-box stuffing from the Netherlands. The thousands of votes on Geert wilders were from viewers of the right wing newssite Geenstijl.nl. This site is the most popular site in the Netherlands. It is political incorrect, opposite to the leftwing newspapers and television, and has a strong anti-dhimmitude. Geert Wilders is also gaining popularity in the Netherlands with almost half a milion votes last month and rising. Those who voted Geert Wilders, do support Wilders. :-)
Yet again thanks for the great initiative!
Greetings from the Netherlands.
Floris Wood

Geert Wilders should have won the Anti-Dhimmi Internationale award. It's not his fault that many of his supporters voted from one site. Also, the voting regulations were not clear to begin with.

Hmm, to bad that the votes from people who came to this site trough Geenstijl was counted along. I myself was reminded of this election trough the newspost on Geenstijl about it and had decided to put my vote up for Wilders. And for the record I did vote for him last elections.

I support Geert Wilders 100%. I really wish we could have politicians like him and Pim Fortuyn here in the States, but instead we have to settle for turds like Dubya, Pelosi, and Silvestre Reyes.

Oooh, Howie ... look

YOUNG Muslim leader Iktimal Hage-Ali – a handpicked adviser to the Prime Minister – was arrested in a cocaine bust eight days before receiving the NSW Young Australian of the Year award.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal Ms Hage-Ali, 22, was one of four people arrested by detectives from the Middle Eastern organised crime squad on November 22 as part of Strike Force Kirban.
She was arrested at her Punchbowl home and taken to Bankstown police station, where she was questioned over a cocaine supply ring allegedly operating in Sydney's southwest.

The leading member of John Howard's Muslim Community Reference Group was released without charge.

Well, I got 3 out of 4 right. One guy who should have been nominated for American Anti-Dhimmi is Rick Santorum, the outgoing senator from the not so smart state of Pennsylvania. He's one of the very few elected US officials along with Tom Tancredo who gets it and isn't afraqid to speak about it.

Dhimmi or dhummi, that is the question.

My favorite excerpts,
We have tough laws outlawing discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation, religion, race, gender and disability. […]

Trevor Philips said recently that Britain was by far the best place to live in Europe, if you are not white. […]

Those that exclude the voice of women need to look again at their practices. I am not suggesting altering the law. We will continue to do all we can, in the name of equality, to provide hope, opportunity and the chance to aspire, to all our communities, in this case specifically the poorer Muslim communities, at risk of being left behind. […]

I voted for Wafa Sultan.

She's forceful, lucid, and persuasive and logical in her critique of Islam. As a result I have no doubt that the fatwas and death threats (but of course!) issued against her run into the thousands. And she doesn't have the kind of protection John Howard enjoys.

Oh, and she's a woman - you know how annoyed Islamic fascists get when males question the cult of Islam? A woman questioning Islam = that level of seething * 911.

In honor of his unique status as an ex-President of the United States, his past flagrant efforts to undermine American foreign policy, and his recent breathtaking literary accomplishments, I propose that the American Dhimmi of the Year Award henceforth also be known as the "Jimmy."

The exclusion of votes coming from "Geenstijl" doesn't make any sense at all.

Why would people who supposedly do not support Geert Wilders come here to vote in his favor as anti-dhimmi? There is no logic to that.

Furthermore, although not all people at Geen Stijl support Geert Wilders, a lot of people there do, and it stands to reason that those people have come here to vote.

To exclude these votes is to claim that a non-Dutch person or persons knows better who- or whom from what kind of site- voted for Wilders than Dutch people do. That is ridiculous.

This indicates that this election should not be promoted beyond this website, because a large number of voters that through promotion come from other sites would not accepted.

'Why would people who supposedly do not support Geert Wilders come here to vote in his favor as anti-dhimmi? There is no logic to that.'

To pony up anti-Right sentiment? Point at that site and say 'See what a bunch of islamophobes we've got here?'

Just a thought.

Its an election scandal alright!
I demand a recount, because yoyu couldn't possibly be more wrong about your claim. A lot of voters originating from www.geenstijl.nl actually do support Geert Wilders. But it's quite obvious that, you prefer to stay blind for argument. A tad strange for dhimmiwatchers!

Carter won by a landslide-- first time for everything.

So the winners are John, John, Jack, 'n Jimmy. I got two out of four (the two dhimmi "winners").

I'm really proud of Jacky Chiracy for doing his level best to present himself to the world as a stereotypical French'man,' letting his country emplode into anarchy because he's too PC to step on Islamofascist toes. The complete ruination of France is a small price to pay for keeping your face clean in the eyes of the diversity, multicultural crowd. Simply put (IMHO), he's the biggest limp-wristed dhimmi puss on the planet, bar none.

Jimmuh Cattah is simply the best friend of every thug and dictator on the face of the earth; however, if that were all, he wouldn't be the huge dhimmi that he is. There are LOTS of stinking liberal skunks who love and charish all who want to put America beneath a heel of oppression.

What differentiates Jimmuh from all the rest is his experessions of love for Islamofascists, properly expressed in the utter HATRED he has for any and all who dare resist their 'religion of peace.' Expressions of hate are the best way to express your deeply felt love for Islamofascists, and Jimmuh does that better than anybody.

I am really disappointed that the votes of geenstijl.nl are not counted as real votes.

Would it make sense that people who are anti- Wilders would come here to vote for him to win the anti-dhimmi award????

Come on guys, use your brains. I can tell that a lot of geenstijl visitors have sympathy for the ideas of Geert Wilders.

Besides this the world needs Hardliners like him who will not bend for Islam terror.

I voted for him as well and I am really disappointed that my vote wont count.

most of the geenstijl.nl readers are right wing voters... I for example voted for Geert Wilders. It's a shame that you took our votes and trowed it away.

Verder wil ik zeggen dat geenstijl veel beter is dan deze rommel hier. Wat een domme figuren :-)

I said: what a nice site, and it's great to found your site trough geenstijl. You guys rock!

"most of the geenstijl.nl readers are right wing voters... I for example voted for Geert Wilders. It's a shame that you took our votes and trowed it away."

I agree completely. Wilders got the votes, and he deserves to be declared the winner.

It shouldn't matter than this NL website organized a drive to put more votes for Geert Wilders than anyone else. They shouldn't be punished because they organized a drive to give him votes. I see nothing unfair about what happened.

Wilders got the votes, and he deserves to be declared the winner.

NO FAIR. All the people linking to this website from geenstijl.nl are individuals. Who are YOU to throw out their votes. If you don't like loosing. DON'T PLAY. I used to like jihadwatch, but now I would not recommend it to anyone. Very childish and pitiful action.

I agree with the above comments, Geert Wilders was the real winner.
JW has discounted its own fan base by taking this victory away from him.
In my earlier comment, I merely pointed out where his and your support came from: these are genuine Wilders supporters, as am I.

I am inclined to agree with the Dutch voters that their enthusiasm for Geert Wilders shouldn't have been cause to throw out those votes but L1 - for you to say that you will stop recommending JW to people for that reason is quite childish of YOU. Think about it! Maybe Cox and Forkum can be persuaded to stick a little head of Geert peeking out of the bottom left corner of their new cartoon. Sort of a JW "inside joke"!

Oops - I just saw your update after I posted. Great idea! (But I still think Geert ought to merely peek out of the corner somehow. It would be funnier that way! Maybe a ballot box in the bottom left corner with Geert's head popping out like a jack-in-the box amongst an overflowing bunch of ballots (to represent the "ballot-stuffing").

"UPDATE: I've asked Cox and Forkum to put both Wilders and Howard in the cartoon."

FEH! That sounds like a liberal solution. Wilders should get the nod because he got the most votes, period.

Oh well...

I hope that those of you from the Netherlands who have found this site due to this poll will continue to visit. You're all welcome.

"FEH! That sounds like a liberal solution. Wilders should get the nod because he got the most votes, period"

I would be thrilled merely to see Cox and Forkum be creative enough to come up with some sort of humorous way to represent this year's JW "election scandal". And even if that proves hard to do, how often do bloggers have such talented cartoonists (or is that illustrators?) create a custom cartoon for their blog vote anyway? The Cox and Forkum cartoon is like a prize that we all get to share in because we actually shape it merely by participating in the vote. Pretty cool! Did last year's winners get a framed print of the final Cox and Forkum cartoon, maybe along with a brief explanation of the award they had won? And if not, why not? There's the perfect prize for all the winners, in every category!

Oh, I love this. Voting irregularities have finally surfaced here at JihadWatch - who would have thought these awards were that important? This is almost like Bush vs Gore. Maybe, from next year, have voter registrations to make sure Muslims & Dhimmis can't vote, vote early and often,... ;->

Maybe have these awards for each continent - Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Africa.

Not another voting scandal! Let's not turn this into a major feud, it's not that important. The lucky winners won't even know they were in a race, much less who won. I doubt if Chirac will speak at the banquet.

"I doubt if Chirac will speak at the banquet."

Oh come on! Chirac had BETTER accept this award. I mean, he's worked SO HARD for it. He can't back out now!

Sometimes I am inspired to think that our western sense of humor about life (which Islam doesn't share at all) will somehow (albeit quite inexplicably) end up being our saving grace in the end.

Sorry - I shouldn't have said western sense of humor. Obviously we westerners have nothing going over them Buddhists when it comes to sense of humor. I mean, the sound of one hand clapping? Please! Who can compete with that?:-)

First post!

Lifetime achievement awards really are necessary, or Dhimmi Carter will keep dominating until he's dead. There was nothing new from him this year. He has allowed and promoted things in the west to get where they are today for the past 30 years. Give him the Lifetime achievement award and move on to address the people who pose the biggest threat this year. IMHO that's James Baker.

And thanks to all you passionate Dutch folk! Love you long time! Just keep in mind that sometimes people try to skew internet polls with bot-votes and other dubious tactics, so don't blame Robert for being suspicious! He always does his homework very well and in the end he'll do the right thing.

I voted for my PM, John Howard, but am happy with the joint-winner solutioin. As for W_D_J_D's contention that JH is soft - Ha!

If the movie "Ever Again" comes to your city, GO SEE IT!

"Agnostic Extremist"

LOL! Excuse me if I laugh, but I just find it funny to find anyone referring to themselves as an "extremist" in a way that they WANT to be called one. I guess I really ought to refer to myself as a "Christian Extremist," but probably to too many folks that is redundant. The same way people call Islmists "extremist."

It's called irony.

Yes. The whole term "extremist" is way overblown anyway. Folks use it to label anyone that they find distasteful. It's an ignorant person's way of saying that they don't like someone else, but are too intellectually lazy and dishonest to explain why.

Hi Robert , that website Geenstijl (translated no style)is one of the better "right wing", and Islam critical blogs in the Netherlands.
A bit if only a bit like LFG in the US.
But good that you do not want to make the elections false because some popular blog posted a link to your site.

Ow btw Robert if you are ever in the Netherlands again. They would probably love for you to have your picture taken with a geenstijl pink t-shirt on. :)
They are funny and creative guys.
If not always too serious.

Rick Santorum had my vote. he lost his job for speaking the truth. in his debate, he called our enemy "islamic fundamentalists" meaning they are acting on the FUNDAMENTALS of ISLAM; bob casey just couldn't grasp it. santorum also spoke out publicly against islamic fundamentalism numerous times. if only he could be the man in charge.
