Carter's Arab financiers

Rachel Ehrenfeld explores what may be behind Dhimmi Carter's latest bout of lunacy in the Washington Times (thanks to Kemaste):

To understand what feeds former president Jimmy Carter's anti-Israeli frenzy, look at his early links to Arab business. Between 1976-1977, the Carter family peanut business received a bailout in the form of a $4.6 million, "poorly managed" and highly irregular loan from the National Bank of Georgia (NBG). According to a July 29, 1980 Jack Anderson expose in The Washington Post, the bank's biggest borrower was Mr. Carter, and its chairman at that time was Mr. Carter's confidant, and later his director of the Office of Management and Budget, Bert Lance.

At that time, Mr. Lance's mismanagement of the NBG got him and the bank into trouble. Agha Hasan Abedi, the Pakistani founder of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI), known as the bank "which would bribe God," came to Mr. Lance's rescue making him a $100,000-a-year consultant. Abedi then declared: "we would never talk about exploiting his relationship with the president." Next, he introduced Mr. Lance to Saudi billionaire Gaith Pharaon, who fronted for BCCI and the Saudi royal family. In January 1978, Abedi paid off Mr. Lance's $3.5 million debt to the NBG, and Pharaon secretly gained control over the bank.

Mr. Anderson wrote: "Of course, the Saudis remained discretely silent... kept quiet about Carter's irregularities... [and] renegotiated the loan to Carter's advantage."

There is no evidence that the former president received direct payment from the Saudis. But "according to... the bank files, [it] renegotiated the repayment terms... savings... $60,000 for the Carter family... The President owned 62% of the business and therefore was the largest beneficiary." Pharaon later contributed generously to the former president's library and center.

If Dhimmi Carter is getting this kind of money imagine how much Bush has been getting from the Sowdis!

And we wonder why we can't win the war and defeat Islam...look no further.

Once again Saudi money greases the slides of corruption. In Carter's case, it would have been easy since he's such an idiot. But at least the myth that he was an honest guy has been shattered.

On second thought, I think Jimmy Peanut Brain shills for Islamania because in his heart he really thinks it's swell-the money means nothing.
But it doesn't hurt to have dirty oil money available nonetheless.

He did it for the money, the lowest kind of scum.

You might think that a man on the high side of 82 (he looks older than that in person) would be past the money thing.

Maybe some of his other contributors (particularly the foundations who contibute to foundations) might pull their support now that some light has been thrown on the Carter Center.

Cheers,

Carter did it, sold out for the money. He's beholden to the Arabs and wants to continue basking in the favorable warm glow of the Saudi oil slick. The whole Habitat for Humanity thing is a cover for him and a barrier for anyone daring to dis the Left wing Prince of pea-nuttiest. He is no less despicable than a scum bag committing murder for financial gain- WHATEVER the amount. It says so much about this self righteous loser, Dhimmi Carter.

Between Carter and the Baker commision report, not a bad return on investment for the Saudis.

I don't think carter does it solely for the money. He genuinely hates Jews, but the money certainly has been an important additional motivation for his lies and slanders.

Baker is a rich man from oil. Baker & Botts is the Houston law firm for oil companies - old line - of course Vinson & Elkins does a nice trade too.

Politics - Texas - Oil - Arabia

George Bush - both - oil and Arabia

It is a flaw of the American system that money buys votes and money buys men. It should be ILLEGAL for any serving or former US official or politician who continues to receive taxpayer subsidy (such as for a Presidential Library) to receive ANY funding from persons who are not American taxpayers.

Yes, infidel 33: this issue with Arab money misses the point. It is not about Arab money in Carter's case, it is not even about attention, bringing peace; no it is barely hidden hate of Jews. Not complex, pretty simple. Note his castigating universities with large Jewish populations. He was called on this on Cpan and will continued to be called on this issue. It is patently obvious.

He makes Pat Buchanan look like a member of AIPAC. I mean it. I'm not joking. Jimmy Carter dislikes Jewish people for a wide host of reasons; some biblical, some not-so biblical: like how it was percieved they voted for the Gipper. Ed Koch's warm reception of Reagan in the '76 election.

He's just a petty Jew hater who cloaks it under the patina of statemen, bible school teacher. Note his equal venom for the Christian Right's support of Israel. He hates them as much as he does the Jews. He makes clever distinctions between Jews and Jewish supporters of Israel. It doesn't matter the issue at play: Iraq, ahd Palestinians, UBL whatever: it always comes back to the Jews in Jimmys book. Once you understand this simple fact, you've got him.

Hatred of race or religion is not a black-and-white thing. There are shades of gray. We all have shades of gray in our likings and dislikings, stereotypes ect . . . but Carter is the 'alpha-male' the 100 percenter of Jew hating. Personally, I think he feels the same way about blacks as well as he ran as a racist his first time out; the mistakes of youth and all that.

Jimmy Carter dislikes Jewish people for a wide host of reasons; some biblical

How odd...........Jews wrote the Bible and even had a Jew as central character in The New Testament and the first 17 leaders of the Christians were Jews..............

Maybe Carter is just facing dementia

I think that maybe Miss Lillian was reading an old test. story to Billy and Jimmy when the topic came to the destruction of the Temple; perhaps she stressed the "wicked Jews" one time too many, perhaps Billy gave Jimmy some Mogen David that made him puke, but I suspect Jimmy's wife forced Jimmy to invite Babs to the oval office for a chin wag. Either way, something has got Jimmy really pissed off at the Jews, I mean Israel.

Now it's Dersh versus Carter. I really loath Jimmy, but I've got to confess as a fellow Jew and Zionist: Dersh is a guy only a mother could love--and I'm not so sure of that either. Instead of a debate, I'd like to see a fight to the death between Dershowitz and Jimmy. Maybe throwing in Norm Finkelstein, chomsky and David Duke as well. Just kidding; I think.

Seeing the influence of petro-dollars on Carter, Bush 1 and 2, and Clinton (as well as many other lesser players, like Baker and the rest), I have only one thought:

Boy, am I glad that Germany didn't have vast oil fields in 1939.

Instead of a debate, I'd like to see a fight to the death between Dershowitz and Jimmy. Maybe throwing in Norm Finkelstein, chomsky and David Duke as well. Just kidding; I think.

I don't like Dershowitz or his political philosophy, but he is a cut above the other four. I think he's worth keeping alive; Jimmy, Norm, David, and Noam should pair up and fight to the death. Who would miss any of them?

This is intriguing stuff. You left out some important parts Robert, which I have bellow. Carter’s corruption really took the world down a horrible path. And for what! Some measly millions! How can this foolish man ever repay the world for the damage he has done? How will he.

….
BCCI's origins were primarily ideological. Abedi wanted the bank to reflect the supra-national Muslim credo and "the best bridge to help the world of Islam, and the best way to fight the evil influence of the Zionists."
….
True to its agenda, BCCI assisted in spreading and strengthening the Islamic message; they enabled Pakistan's nuclear ambitions, and helped the Palestinian leadership to amass a $10 billion-plus fortune, used to further terrorist activities and to buy more influence in the West.

BCCI founders also supported the Islamic fundamentalist opposition to the Shah of Iran, and saw it as an opportunity to undermine Western influence in the Gulf. They assisted the revolution financially, reinforcing their position within the leadership of the Iranian revolution. Ironically, the success of that revolution cost Mr. Carter his presidency.

BCCI's money also facilitated the Saudi agenda to force Israel to recognize Palestinians "rights," convincing Egyptian president Anwar Sadat to sign the Camp David Accords in September 1978. Since then, Mr. Carter repeatedly provided legitimacy to Arafat's corrupt regime, and now, like the Saudis, he even sides with homicidal Hamas as the "legitimate" representative of the Palestinian people.

There should be no doubt about this man's immorality, baseness, and self-righteousness. This man is an anti-Christian menace; despicable.

I guess this proves that you can bribe an ex-president fairly easily. One thing we need to do is push for a hydrogen supply system and the conversion of our cars and trucks or to it, thereby cutting off the Saudi's money supply from oil and making sure that they cannot buy into it like they have done with our oil companies

If Dhimmi Carter is getting this kind of money imagine how much Bush has been getting from the Sowdis!

And we wonder why we can't win the war and defeat Islam...look no further.
