Dhimmi choirs fall silent in South Africa

"Klopse curtailed out of respect for Eid," from South Africa's Cape Times, with thanks to DS:

Out of respect for one of Islam's holiest days at the end of this month, no Malay choir troupes will parade on New Year's Day, fewer klopse are to march on Second New Year and the route has been shortened.

Troupes won't march through Bo-Kaap, a predominantly Muslim neighbourhood, until after Eid ul Adhaa (Feast of Sacrifice), Kaapse Karnival Association chairperson Faggie Carelse said.

Well just go ahead and start playing the death march requiem.

dum dum de dum , dum dum

Islam wins again. What a surprise.

I guess this gives new meaning to "Silent Night".
How pathetic.

Will the noisy speakers at the mosques fall silent on Christmas day out of respect for the Christians? I doubt not. These creatures won't know the civil way of gaining respect other than by threats of violence.

Threats that are often carried out, much the the dismay of the victims.

Seems to me 'Respect for Islam' amounts to 'Street Cred' for most people... except for intellectuals like Rosie O'Donnel who apply the 'Terrorists are Moms and Dads Too' credo.

Isn't "Eid" after the end of Ramadan and that this year it was at the end of October? It is December and a few days close to Christmas.

Rosie never met a terrorist she did not like.

This "Eid" marks the end of the Hajj if I am not mistaken. It is the event most calculated to get PETA fired up, but, amazingly enough, that group of animal right activists has not weighed in on the Feast of Sacrifice.

Yes, vocal music, and by extension all instrumental music, is forbidden in Islam. No humor, no beauty, few truths, and even fewer acts of kindness in Islam. A "Silent Night" indeed.

I think I will drive through the Muslim neighborhod with my radio playing Twisted Sister.

This is a perverse story from the ultimate dhimmis the guardian

Truly sickening

There was an Eid stamp at the Post Office when I sent a letter to Representative Goode today. I was wondering what Eid was, but figured it was something Islamic so that our government can show its compassion for all cultures.

I’m going to pick up a sheet of Eid stamps. They may be worth something some day. Kind of like that upside-down airplane stamp. Because I agree that we’re not going to take it (no, we ain’t gonna take it).

apostate_islam, even the Archbishop of Canterbury, nauseating specimen though he is, seems to be more muted in his criticism of those evil Zionists than before. Could he be starting to realize that pandering to the mahometans just isn't working out as well as he had hoped?

I think we should be doing a more thorough job of fully educating PETA about the way the cute little animals are killed on Eid.

I know, "animal rights" terrorists will never hit anyone who will hit back, but it's fun to imagine.

limes - Let's hope the "Eid" stamp becomes the same sort of curiosity that "Hitler-head" stamps have become.
radish- More light needs to be shed on the blood sacrifice required at this eid. Not just PETA, but impressionable folk who love animals will find details of this mass ritual slaughter something to think about. It has great potential propaganda value with western liberals; the same sort of problem that islam has with womens' rights and its harsh treatment of homosexuals.

There are two Eids--Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adhaa. (the word Eid seems to mean something along the line of "ritual").

You're right--Eid al-Fitr comes at the end of Ramadan, a couple of months ago. Eid al-Adhaa follows theend of the Hajj. It's a lunar festival, so it seems to range from late November to early January, depending on the year. This year it falls on December 20.

Eid al-Adhaa, the Feast of the Sacrifice, commemorates Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son (Isaac in Jewish and Christian tradition--Muslims substitute Ishmail).

As you might imagine from the name of the festival, this is an incredibly bloody holiday. Sheep are most commonly slaughtered, but goats, cattle and even camels are killed in large numbers also.

Giving in to the barbarian moslem horde is happening everywhere. I have just come back to London from a visit to my parents during which I attended Holy Communion at one of my favourite country churches. After communion - and over a good cup of tea, this is England after all - I was speaking with the Tower Captain of that particular church and he informed me that a planned ring of Grandsire Doubles with triple dodging above on Saturday had had to be cancelled because the local mosk had objected and appealed to the local council to have the ring stopped. The Council issued a noise abatement order which effectively prohibits the ringing of any bells in the tower indefinitely.

I hope that all of you can imagine just how angry I now feel. However, I must inform you that the ring will go ahead despite the local council's ruling and all the ringers are prepared to be taken into court if necessary - a lawyer has been retained and they are going to fight this one.

I also learnt from this particular Tower Captain that such actions are happening all over the UK and are always being challenged by the ringers. If I can find anything on the web I will post links.

Dominic.

BTW, the noise abatement order, as phrased and issued, also covers the tolling of the passing bell - it seems that we are not going to be allowed to honour our dead either!

Given the account you just gave us, do mosqs in UK avoid putting on the azzan full blast @ 4:00AM? At other more earthly hours? Or is it the usual 'Do what I say, but not what I do' routine?

I hate to tell you this, but you Brits need to get more violent - why not contract this out to your soccer fan hoodlums (or have they turned docile over the years?). Trying to address this only on the high road, while the Mohammedan hordes dominate the gutter and cow down your MP's, is only going to guarantee either the partition of the UK similar to that of India in 1947, or the entire country going Islamic, a la Indonesia.

The Council issued a noise abatement order which effectively prohibits the ringing of any bells in the tower indefinitely.

How about an abatement of the noise coming from the Muslim mosques five times a day?

Does the order apply to the Muslims as well, or, are they exempt?
