"Do you want to see the passport of a terrorist?"

"Syed Maaz Shah’s arrest and arraignment came after a federal investigation of activity on property owned by the Islamic Society of Greater Houston." Another player emerges in connection with this story. "UTD Student Still In Jail, Awaits Houston Transfer," by Robert Riggs for CBS 11 News:

(CBS 11 News) A University of Texas at Dallas sophomore who was arrested Wednesday on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm is being held without bond and awaits transfer to Houston in connection with a conspiracy to aid a global terrorist network..
Syed Maaz Shah’s arrest and arraignment came after a federal investigation of activity on property owned by the Islamic Society of Greater Houston in Willis, which is just north of Houston.
In testimony before United States Magistrate Judge Jeff Kaplan, a FBI special agent assigned to the international counter-terrorism squad described 19-year-old Shah as a self-proclaimed terrorist bent on jihad.
“He held up his passport to the other members of the group and said, ‘Do you want to see the passport of a terrorist?’ ” the agent testified.
The FBI agent further testified Shah was pictured with two Muslim college students -- Kobie Williams and Adnan Mirza -- who were arrested in Houston earlier this week for an alleged conspiracy to aid the Taliban.
Federal prosecutors allege all three engaged in paramilitary rifle training with other Muslim students at the campground in Willis and bragged about joining the Taliban to fight against U.S. forces.
Shah was accused in court of training to attack coalition soldiers in Afghanistan and has been charged with possession of a firearm by a non-U.S. citizen.
Shah's attorney, Donald Fulton, declined to discuss the Taliban allegations and tried to minimize the gun charge.
“Gee if everything that I did training with weapons from BB guns on up resulted in criminal charges, they would have me behind bars today. It’s a different world we live in now.”

That's just silly. But in closing, no story of this kind is complete without the following description of what a swell guy the accused is:

Shah’s aunt, Rubina Shah, said her nephew is very religious, but is not violent.
“He’s an excellent kid, an excellent student. What else is there to say?”

excellent kind? Hardly. He needs to see the error of his ways...

Yes, excellent and kind. Let's continue to stick our heads in the sand and keep inviting these crazy kids into our country.

Guantanamo Bay for this little traitor either that or death. Seriously, enough is enough. If you are an American or a citizen of a free world country and you get caught doing this immediate and harsh response should be the order of the idea. This little fruit has visions of virgins in his eyes. He will NOT be rehabillitated because to him real life isnt all about fun and sex. He isnt man enough to want harsh reality over pure fantasy. Or mentally stable enough to know see the evil of his Islamonazi designs for the world.

ISLAM=NAZISM

correction: "the order of the day"

PS its kids like this that show the world that the idea of a moderate Islam is basically a lie.

The thing I like most about muslims is- given time they hang themselves

So this punk is a self proclaimed jihadist? Send his worthless ass to Afghanistan, where somebody can fill said ass with lots of bullets.

I won't even pretend the Dhimmicrats would do any different... but.. GW Bush's been in office for 6 years now, hasn't he?

He's not responsible for 9/11.

But he SURE IS responsible for AFTER 9/11!

This 19yo punk wars 13 at 9/11. So what the F is he doing here six years later? This is something that this current White House MUST answer for!

Seeing the President hold dinners for moslems at the RAMADA INN [White House] in November was disheartening, to say the very least.

A University of Texas at Dallas sophomore
.............

As is usual, this is not a person mired in poverty. Either his family has money to send him to University, or the state is picking up the tab in the form of scholarships or grants. In either case, he is not lacking in resources, or facing a hopeless future. Nothing is driving him to Jihad.

from above:

Shah’s aunt, Rubina Shah, said her nephew is very religious...
.....................

As other have pointed out, this is a red flag, not a mitigating factor in this case.

But of course he's a pious Muslim! That's why he's a terrorist, he's just following what his religion has taught him, like every pious person would do.

Remember how all those jihadists' friends, family always say how pious they are, or he prays regularly, etc. etc.

Bet he is just the tip of the iceburg. There are more like him. Poor guy is probably too ugly to get a girlfriend , so the idea of the illustrious seventy two is especially attractive to him.
And ninteen years old at that, just the right age to be an expert at most everyting. There's nothing quite like a sexually frustrated nineteen year old jihadist. But he is a good kid, lucifuge Rofocalle, is quite fond of him.

An excellent kid forllowing an excellent model of the best people with the model of all times.

Why do they ever bother interviewing the relatives of these germs? If you go by the relatives, don't think you will find a single 'bad' kid. They are all good kids, because they are all 'good' muslims. That is how the logic goes.

Excellent reminders here - highly recommended -

Why can't we stoop down to their Level and Fight Fire with Fire again? LOL

I don't want to be better than them . I don't want to be more Humane...I want MY culture and pur way of life to survive.

Deport him , Shoot him , Whatever.

He's a Terrorist . Screw the Moral Highground!

Houston, we have a problem.

is to bad that radical Islam find young people like this so easy to brainwash but as the charge of a non-citizen a firearm that does not make sense , I have a green card and currently own a 12 gauge pump riot shotgun and at various times owned handguns and rifles. I can only assume the person they arrested was here on something besides a green card. Most statesas long as you have a green card will allow you to purchase and own firearms. Though some like Washington State make you get a $50 permit most do not. Unfortunately this often means that unscrupulous people like terrorists with fake ID and buy firearms and at the gun shows they often do not even need ID.

Why the hell they call them insurgents when they are not. They are terrorists and from the muslim society on Thai territory...

Insurgents may stage heavy offensive

(Bangkokpost.com)

Government intelligence agencies have warned officials to prepare for a possible massive insurgent attack between now and Dec 11. They said they have received reports that are credible.

The reports prompted Yala police to tighten security in the downtown area today.

Pol Col Phumphet Phipatphetphum gave an urgent order to all police stations in Muang district to step up security and patrol around crucial locations more frequently. He said insurgents might launch an attack by planting bombs around town, destroying schools and ambushing soldiers and police.

Despite the reports, at least 11 schools in Narathiwat province will reopen Monday.

According to Pakorn Thepsorn, director at education district 2 of Narathiwat, teachers agreed to teach on Monday after soldiers and police assured them that they would provide them the best security they

When one become pious as a muslim, they are now dangerous. take them to camp G'itmo.

Noone with a morel highground made history while Churchill, Gen Patton, without any moral highground/PC stupidity, did; if you see the difference..

Allies is right.
We need to expand Gitmo and start the extrication of these and other menacing traitors immediately.
This is a war, after all, and I don't want them on my soil.

"He's a Terrorist . Screw the Moral Highground!"

Even if the moral high ground has worth, I would paraphrase a famous quote:

The moral high ground is not a suicide pact.

"Book him, Dano."

Glad they caught this one before he started driving around in a car-trunk with a sniper rifle, or started driving his SUV through a campus loitering area, or started running people over with his SUV in San Francisco, or tried to set off a shoe-bomb on an airplane, or sliced the throat of a Greyhound busdriver, or, well, you get the idea. There have been many jihadist attacks inside the U.S. since 9/11 (our government follows the strategy of the Dutch government: if they avoid the use of the word "terrorist", then no terrorist attacks have occurred, QED). And many more jihadist attacks have been prevented by our law enforcement.

During WWII, thousands of Americans of Japanese descent were locked up in detention camps for years, even though no Japanese-American person committed any attacks, nor even planned any attacks. Today, we've slammed the pendulum in the other extreme direction: jihadists have committed attacks, and have planned further attacks, and we don't even dare name the enemy.

I agree 110 percent!!!
Our "correctness" has to stop. When will we draw the line? When we cant buy beer in America because it's offensive to Muslims?

I have been to Muslim neighborhoods in Londonstan, and can tell you that the PUBS have closed (in that area).. Is thats whats in store for us?

Why are you guys automatically assuming that the kid is guilty of being a terrorist? Have yall forgotten the principle of innocent until proven guilty that this country's judicial system is based on?

specialguest, you are labeling a few isolated incidents and claiming that they were all perpetrated by Jihadists, and that the actions of these so called Jihadists is representative of all the Muslims in America. Have you ever stopped to think that there are about 10 million Muslims living in America today, and that because of the actions of a "few Jihadists" (the shoe bomber example you bring up is especially spuriuos since those actions did not take place on American soil), you think it is okay to incarcerate millions of innocent people? Is this the country that promises freedom and liberty to all? Is this the America that you want to live in? Moreover, about 3 million of those Muslims are African Americans. They are a people who were forcibly taken from their homeland, and on who's blood and sweat this country was built. It's a fact. Do you now want to snatch away their liberty and equality, after they just got it 40 years ago?

Let me leave yall with a quote from Ben Franklin, "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both."
