About 150 people attended the Ribble Valley Council meeting to see the plans approved by eight votes to five.

In Pankow/Berlin in a small town called 'Heinersdorf' (former East Germany) the government imposed the building of a mosque against 90% of the wishes of its residents.
Joachim Swietlik, a rather brave fellow, was leading the fight against the Ahmadiyyah movement which bought the site where the mosque is to be built.
There were mass-demonstrations planned for this weekend and it seems the authorities have already disabled all the relevant websites and links to this case, try to google 'Moschee in Pankow' or Heinersdorf and "Joachim Swietlik' and see if you get lucky.
The 'racism' canard works like a baseball-bat against criticism and reason, the multi-culti madness has infected everyone. The awakening will be horrific!

In the US, a developer is required to mitigate any negative impacts that their development may have on the community. The developer in this case should be required to pay for a third-party assessment of negative impacts on the community.
Mitigation could be proposed to:
1. Compensate neighborhood land-owners for a reduction in land values, if one can be shown in like cases. Every time a piece of land is sold, the sales price is public information. The percentage decrease, if applicable, in comparable cases can be quantified and assessed to the developer.
2. Compensate the local government for loss of tax revenue from a drop in neighborhood property values, if applicable.
3. Compensate the local government for expected increases in law enforcement and other social services. Police records are public record and its logical to assume that policing costs are proportional to the number of calls. The percentage increase, if applicable, in comparable cases can be quantified and assessed to the developer.
The 1st Amendment will be used to argue that this mitigation is Unconstitutional. The counter-argument is in the words of the Qu’ran. The reduction in land values and increase in policing costs can be directly attributed to things like slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and beseige them… and other nice neighbor directives.
It would be interesting to watch the developer argue that the Qu’ran’s calls to Jihad are protected since they are part of the religion. The City would have its justification for turning down the application if the developer refused to agree to the mitigation (which could be in the tens of millions). The developer could appeal in court, but might just lose.

Community Development Directors from across the United States disappear once a year and spend a week at a national boon-doggle where they do nothing other than compare notes on how to screw developers and drink beer. We should have a presence at the next boon-doggle.

It is not limited to 5 times a day. That is routine. There is also the "holy" month of ramadan, and the prophet's birthday (jashne-eid-miladunnabee), muharram, and the two eids. During these "special" days, the volume of the "call to prayer" is considerably higher, infact it will breach all noise pollution limits. Once the minaret is there, the local populace will see some long bearded, loose clothed, skull capped, veiled "devotees" at all hours, including some that are regarded as unearthly. During the special days, "scholars" from mecca and other "holy" places will be dropping by to "deliver sermons" to these bearded people. These "sermons" are delivered with the volume at the max, both of the high decibel sound system, and the vocal chords of the "imam from mecca". The local population will also see closed vans being driven into the mosque (if it has a courtyard), or children dragging goats, sheep, cows, or any other animal that is not porcine, into the mosque (if it does not have a courtyard).
The predictions written above will be fulfilled in the first year of the mosque itself. More interesting things in years to follow.
