The evidence is overwhelming. Those freshly-painted walls in Mogadishu, "newly reclaimed from the scrub." The "city transformed." "Gone are the ubiquitous checkpoints." Gone "the technicals." The "infamous Bakaro arms market" is closed.
And that's not all:
"For the first time in a generation Somalis can walk around safely, even at night. Children play football in the streets. Squads of Somalis in fluorescent yellow jackets emblazoned “Employment for Peace” are removing mountains of garbage. Shops are painting brightly coloured pictures of their wares — mobiles, satellite dishes, radios — on their walls. The derelict port has been reopened, though every vessel must be unloaded by hand as there are no cranes, and children point excitedly at the sight of aircraft overhead."
Hundreds of Somalis are returning to Somalia.
Why only "hundreds"? Why not hundreds of thousands? What about all the Somalis who claimed they needed "refuge" in the West, and who drained the slender resources of the not-very-well-off town of Lewiston, Maine? What about those who have been driving cabs at Logan Airport in Boston and boasting of their twenty children by several wives on the dole to one passenger too many? (One Somali taxidriver proudly told his fare -- a friend of mine -- a few weeks ago that, while other Somalis managed to keep several wives unknown to the American government but somehow all supported by various entitlement programs, he, though as yet he still had only one wife, managed to produce with her "11 children" and counting.) What about those who have, in a certain Congressional district in Minneapolis, voted as the blockiest of blocks for a fellow Muslim, one Keith Ellison, who was last seen conferring with imams at a CAIR conference? Why should they all now not be asked if it wouldn't be appropriate for them to return to wonderful Shari'a-ruled Somalia, where they can best lead their Muslim existences without worrying about the undue influence of decadent, intolerable, infidel Infidels?
And do not, for god's sake, admit any more Somali "refugees" into this country, whether to Minneapolis or Lewiston, where not long ago the Mayor was hounded as a monster for daring to suggest that the influx of Somalis was bankrupting the city, and depriving native Mainers (Maine is a poor state) of aid that they needed. But he was right. He was understating, for those Somali immigrants need a level of support, though they never paid into the system, and with their wives (and sometimes hidden wives) and many children, tax the system of benefits, local and state, beyond what anyone ever contemplated.
Start making policy that is based on a clear understanding of the manifest fact that that the more adherents of Islam there are in Western countries, the more difficult -- automatically -- life becomes for the indigenous Infidels, and for other non-Muslim immigrants as well.
And meanwhile, let Somalia be Somalia. But not a dollar in aid. Not a dollar in anything from the Infidels. Let all the money come from Saudi Arabia and the other Gulf Arabs. They have hundreds of billions floating around. Make clear to Somalis that they are owed that money by their fellow members of the umma al-islamiyya. They must share, rich and poor Muslims alike. Isn't that the "social justice" we keep being told about in Islam? Let's see it at work.
Our only concern should be to see Somalia using up whatever resources its people or petty rulers manage to obtain from this or that outside group of Muslim supporters.
Take every opportunity to allow Muslim natures -- the natural aggression, the easy recourse to tribal and group warfare, solved only when a despot comes to power -- to take their course. Allow, by refusing to intervene, the growth and evolution of those attitudes that arise naturally in societies suffused with Islam. It's cost-effective. It's untroubling to observe. It's most instructive for those outside Infidels who need yet another Demonstration Project in the nature of Islam, and of states and peoples on Islam.
Nothing need be done in Somalia, from the Infidel point of view, except to keep that country from acquiring major weapons and prevent more Somali Muslims from settling in the non-Muslim Western world (especially Italy and the United States), where they inevitably add to the demographic problem, even if they were hard-working blahblahblah.
Transfer aid from the "Palestinians" and Egypt to the non-Muslim countries of black Africa now engaged in fighting the forces of Islam. Support Ethiopia to the hilt.
Somalia for the Somalis -- especially all those Somalis now in the United States and Canada and Great Britain. Muslim money -- now for some reason appropriated, in such large amounts, by the Al-Saud family who seem to think that the oil that belongs to all of Islam really belongs to them -- for Somalia too.
Somalia will be -- no, it already is, after these brief shining hours so far of life-saving Shari'a -- wonderful.

Truer words have never been spoken. I live in Ontario and work in the welfare dept. Never before have i seen such brazen and outrageous lying and a sense of entitlement from a group of people as the Somalis. They breed incessantly knowing full well they will get more money. It was nauseating. I applaud the Mayor for saying "enough is enough"

A couple weeks ago I was in a grocery checkout line (in Minneapolis) and the Somali woman ahead of me in line paid for her groceries with FOUR ebt (food stamp) cards. How does one woman get FOUR ebt cards? She couldn't remember the password for one of the cards and had to re-enter it several times until she finally got it right.
Well, it's nice to see how Somalia has gone from the Wild West to Islamic utopia. Sounds really great-if the Mahdi does show up he should show up there because it really sounds wonderful. Now if only those utopians would just stay put, rather than try bringing it to their neighbors.

Love the idea! However, Islamania, being the religion of hypocrisy, would greedily accept the aid nonetheless. In their minds, they would thinks this was merely their due since the entire world and everyone in it belongs to Illah.

Somalia will be wonderful
In Kismayo, 500km south of the capital, Islamist hardliners have banned the chewing of the mild narcotic khat - an afternoon ritual across the country.
On Tuesday, a distraught football fan phoned up the BBC Somali Service from Jamame, near Kismayo, begging them to include La Liga match details in their sports reports the next day as he said the screening of football matches had just been banned in his town.
These creeping edicts may be the courts' undoing as Somalis have always had a fairly liberal interpretation of the holy scriptures.
Agaran, which means green in Somali, is the perfect example. The coastal town is Somalia's Gretna Green, where couples eloping from the capital can go for a quick marriage.
According to local Islamic tradition, a woman must get her father's consent to marry if her father or guardian is within 50km.
On the map, Agaran is just over 50km south of the capital with many a willing sheikh at hand to perform the nuptials without dowry objections and saving the young couple wedding expenses that can ordinarily cost up to a year's wages.
Agaran's days as Somalia's romantic capital, however, are over, as Islamic leaders banned elopement marriages as unlawful on Monday.

On 14 December, the UN launched a US $237 million humanitarian appeal for Somalia for 2007 to alleviate the suffering of 1.8 million people, with the UN humanitarian coordinator for the country, Eric Laroche, saying the humanitarian needs in Somalia remained critical.
And the muslims prepare for war that threatens to engulf the Horn of Africa in a religious conflict between Christians and Muslims.
Raise all the money you want for Somalia. But not a cent from the Infidels. No more disguised Jizyah to those who will continue to pocket aid, and continue to believe that they have a perfect right to emigrate to Infidel lands and, once there, work in every way possible to remove obstacles to the spread of Islam, to ensure that in the end Islam dominates everywhere, and everywhere Muslims rule.
Let Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the U.A.E., Qatar -- huge unmerited wealth, tiny populations -- pay for Somalia. Pay for Egypt. Pay for Pakistan. Pay for Yemen. Pay for the "Palestinian" Arabs. Pay, pay, pay. They've received many trillions, and will continue to receive many trillions. Meanwhile the Western world has been forced to spend hundreds of billions on security measures made necessary by Saudi and other Arab money that has paid for mosques, madrasas, and a deepening Muslim presence all over that Western world, and the Americans have already sunk a half-trillion dollars into Iraq and Afghanistan on a mission -- ill-conceived -- to undo the Jihad by somehow transplanting "democracy" and "freedom" which, we are told will, in somoe quite unspecified way, somehow reduc the problem of Jihad. Exactly how this will work, exactly how the money weapon, Da'wa, and demographic conquest of Western Europe, will be slowed down by this hugely expensive attempt to prevent the Sunni and Shi'a from going at it, or the Kurds from attempting to break away from the Arabs, is entirely unclear. And will always remain unclear, because it makes no sense -- none at all.
Hugh's got the right idea. Let the stingy Saudis cough up the money and watch them go bankrupt as they waste fortunes on rehabbing those black holes. What fun that will be to watch!

Hugh mentioned Lewiston, Maine in the essay. I was in the Lewiston area today and had a digital camera in the truck. The City is in trouble. Probably half of the downtown is abandoned. Pizza Hut is closed.
The thing which struck me the most was going to Burger King. I’ve lived in several areas of the Country, and frequent fast food establishments. It’s normal for the crews to be populated by whatever demographic group is in the process of becoming assimilated into the broader society, working their way up the economic ladder.
In Lewiston, the Burger King crew was entirely white.

There really is no government agency that is watching out for us right now. It is flight instructors, cashiers at Wal-Mart, and truck-driving-school instructors who are protecting us; just regular folks. If we don't actively protect ourselves, no-one else is doing it either.

I apologise for the length of this posting but it reveals an aspect of the Somali influx to the UK that has perhaps gone unnoticed. Namely, the animosity of Somalis to the minority groups who preceded them and amongst whom they have (oddly) chosen to live. Their contempt for black Britons of Caribbean and African descent (whom they call ‘Adoon’, the meaning of which you will soon be able to guess), is barely concealed and is notable for an absolute refusal to engage socially either with these groups* or with wider British society. This is no great loss given the fact that this seems to absolve even of the rules of common courtesy - two of my female relatives were recently spat at by a group of new arrivals in the neighbourhood where they have lived their whole lives. But let’s put my anecdotal evidence to one side and instead consider the following direct extracts from a Somali-run, UK-based message board called somalinet.com (all are reproduced here verbatim complete with risible spelling).
1) “Due to the recent influx of adoons and mongrels to this site, I, a proud Somali, decided to wage jihaad and cleanse this Somali website of the adoon filth. I’m sure you’ll agree that the ethnic and religious bigotries expressed here are a breathtakingly volatile mixture and are quite unlike anything I have encountered before. This is new. *And I am a Briton of Caribbean descent, proud of both sides of my heritage. Multiculturalism wasn’t an option when my parents’ generation arrived in the UK. We worked hard to invest of ourselves in the host culture and bore up under sometimes trying circumstances. Assimilation was hard-won and is all the more precious for that. The result is a shared legacy I am loath to see destroyed by those who are contemptuous of it.
Our political leaders, here and in the US, have placed a powder-keg our midsts without having the slightest clue of what they are laying up in store for the future. Your piece, as ever, was timely.

That was a very well written and enjoyable post. It amazes me whenever any group of people proclaim themselves "The Master Race", but in this case it seems particularly ironic.
