The celebration of the birth of the Prince of Peace, the Christ who mandated we must not be hypocrites-deceivers is too much for some folks. They like "war is deception". Those two concepts are built-in to the belief-system and are mirror images of each other. Deception is war.

I've always wondered why politicians feel the need to "respect" Muslim holidays when Muslims have no respect for the holidays of other faiths.Muslims appear more likely to attack and kill during the holiday season.

The soldiers of Allah are most likely to attack other faiths on their holidays, the Christians around Chrismas or Easter, the Hindu's and Buddhists (as we have seen in India) on their high holidays...
And our ignorant, foolish polit-jerks and policy makers keep trying to please the Mohammedans in the hope that -if we are nice to them they will be nice to us later- which, of course always fails sice it is seen as weakness.

The more I think about this incident the more I realize this was a sort of simulated terror attack. This the impact is the same as a real attack (fear, insecurity, loss of confidence, intimidation), the imams have devised a brilliant new strategy.
This I call the hidden or consequence-free terror attack. You achieve all the goals of a real terror attack, pay no penalty, and the victims (the American public) don't even realize they've been victimized.

I have just returned to my flat from the nine lessons and carols service followed by the first Eucharist of the day followed by the first hour - Lauds. Under my Christmas tree there are many presents waiting to be opened so I decided, since it was already Christmas Day, to open one. I deliberately chose the one that I knew to be from the only moslem friend/acquaintance that I have.
You may imagine my surprise when I discovered that the present which he has chosen to give me this Christmastide is a copy of Mr. Spencer's 'PIG Islam and the Crusades' (which I already have but he didn't know that). You could, as the saying goes, have knocked me down with a feather. On the flyleaf he has inscribed the following simple message: "All Muslims should read this then perhaps they would be better citizens! With love from XXXXXXX"

By-the-way, I gave him nothing for Christmas but I did send him a card - and not an anodyne one at that, either, but an image of the Virgin and Child in Glory with Cherubs painted by Giovanni Battista Salvi (il Sassoferrato), 1605 - 1685.
Isn't it strange the things which happen and give one hope for the future.
Must go. I have to be at my parents in time for Matins and Christmas Day lunch.

Please don't get fooled by reports like this, ie. the police guarding churches. This is to appease the west, or the United States, so that the Department of State can write in their yearly country report that the Indonesian government is doing its best to combat terrorism, and all that good stuff. Having a 'good report card' equals more aid from the US.
Like I've said over and over before, the condition of the Christians in Indonesia IS NOT GETTING BETTER. It is getting worse, but of course it differs from place to place.
More and more of the Muslims are becoming "PIOUS", and feel that they must clamp down on Christians worshipping, either in their churches or in their own homes.
There are more and more Indonesian who don't want Christians gathering for worship in their own homes, so they harass or threaten them to stop having prayer meetings in their own homes.
It is still very difficult to build a new church. So, what to do if there is no permit? The Christians rent/use public/commercial buildings to hold services, which makes this "illegal" since on e has to have a permit to have a church. Since it is illegal, then the local pious muslims, feel that it is their duty to close down these 'illegal' churches. Often this pious Muslim mob would go accompanied by police in uniform to demand that these churches close down.
Shariah is being implemented officially/unofficially in various places in Indonesia, especially in Java.
It is slowly suffocating the Christians in Indonesia.
The US government as usual is clueless as to the takiya done by the Indonesian government or other Islamic countries. Seems like they are so impressed by the police guarding the churches at Christmas. Duh!!! Isn't that what police is supposed to do, that is guarding their people from terrorists???????
Areas with Christian majority are shrinking.

Christians in Central Sulawesi is experiencing the same kind of violence and their areas are shrinking. (Central Sulawesi is the place where the pious Muslim beheaded 3 Christian school girls).
Other parts of Indonesia is not experiencing violence on a regular basis as Christians in Central Sulawesi. At least not yet.

s_sgt7 if Christians or non Christians attacked their Mosques etc, our own would be up in arms against the people who did it... there would be so much outrage against the people that the media would be full of it, and not because they dare to attack Muslims but simply that they did it... although our TV is full of films of violence, we dont like it happening in real life and unlike Islam we fight to stop it..Our own would send help to these Muslims etc, and we would hunt the people down for what they did, but not so Muslims, when their own attack our people their religious leaders and media protect them and there is no muslim outrage at all... or perhaps a bit of lip service to appease the infidels.
