Mini-mosque to be built in Israel airport

They want to destroy our state, massacre huge numbers of us, and subjugate the rest. Often they target planes to sow terror among the populace. What can we do? I've got it! Let's build them a place at the airport where they can congregate without outsiders present!

The IAA, of course, can ultimately do nothing to "strengthen ties with the Arab community" except dissolve itself and exhort all other Israeli institutions to do so as well.

"Mini-mosque to be built in airport," from the Jerusalem Post, with thanks to Romy:

A prayer room for Muslims will be built in Ben Gurion Airport, as part of a series of steps aimed at strengthening ties with the Arab community of Israel, The Israeli Airport Authority announced on Thursday.

IAA CEO Gabi Ofir said the room will have the conditions necessary for keepers of the Muslim faith, such as purity of location, purity of the body and purity of clothes.

The prayer room will be a square shaped space. In the entrance, a purification water trough will be set up, as well as a 35 cm. rest bench. The 20 square meter room will face southeast.

The room will be carpeted and have a niche facing Mecca in one of its walls. It will also contain a library with Muslim prayer books.

Apart from setting up the prayer room, the IAA has already begun several steps that will strengthen ties with the Arab community, the most prominent of which was starting the Unit for Relations with Minorities, a unit working 24 hours a day, seven days a week, giving assistance, guidance and help to Arabic speaking travelers in the airport's terminal.

Yeah, let's hope it's also got closed circuit TV (hidden cameras) and LOTS of hidden microphones, too.

When will people realize that when we bend over backwards to give special accomodations to Muslims, we only look WEAKER to them?

To hell with trying 'win the hearts and minds' of people who only want to convert or kill us.

I'm sick of this shit.

And when will a church, synagogue, temple, etc. be built in Mecca and Riyadh?

What is the effective range of a RPG. Would airplanes be it this range?
Just wait until someone like the US President or a British Prime minister or a Pope shows up.
One RPG would certainly have an effect on an airplane.

'The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.'"
- Sahih Bukhari 4:52.177

Remember when we Jews used to be a clever bunch? My children don't believe me when I tell them.

It's one thing when Western nations cave in and do stupid things like this since despite the many inroads Islamania has made national survival is not at stake (yet). When Israel does something like this it's as if they are indeed committing suicide. What's next? Jews building an Auschwitz in Tel Aviv so they can gas themselves on behalf of the palestinians? I don't get it-being a leftist in Israel should be a crime like treason because it IS treason. Western leftists can afford to play their "Islam is peaceful" games-Israel cannot. If Israel continues to persist in such foolishness then the US may indeed have to start wondering if it is worth supporting a nation seemingly intent on exterminating itself.

Get rid of Olmert already-his coma is far worse than Sharon's.

Well , They could take the Nazi SS uniforms out of the museum and start wearing them.

Shy Guy and ISLAMISFORLOSERS:

Have you both lost sight of the fact that Israel is on the cutting edge of counter-terrorism technology, and at least some ROPers are well aware of it? As for those who want to test it out...

Once upon a time there was a ruler who was also a religious reformer. He wasn't born to be a ruler but had powerful relations who helped him, using violence and assassinations. He was on paper a strong man who despised women, but in fact he was weak and often controlled by them. Some have even suggested that he was homosexual or transsexual. He had many wives and furthermore had male aswell as female lovers. Sometimes he married across conventions, shocking the general pubic with his blantant and sometimes blasphemic disregard of old traditions. He ignored the ancient pantheon of Gods and instituted a new religion from a remote part of the Middle-East with a Semitic deity originally called El-Gabal, possibly the Syrian sun god Baal who is the God that muslims today call Allah, as the supreme God, based on the worshipping of a meteorite-stone. A magnificent temple was built where the meteorite-stone was placed and the new God could be worshipped, as the most important God. The new God was now declared state religion and peopel who didn't want to accept the new religion were sometimes persecuted. To make the new religion more acceptable, he fusioned parts of old traditional beliefs with the new, to make peopel accept the new God more easily. Though in many ways a weak and vain person, he was obsessed with a religious zeal that made him determined to dominate the whole world with his partially self-made beliefsystem. This has given him a reputation of being irrational, yes possibly even a madman. Later historians, especially Christians, have been extremely repulsed by him.

Now you are probably all thinking that I'm referring to the prophet Mohammad; I'm not. I'm referring to the Roman Emperor Elagabalus, who ruled the Roman Empire from 218 to 222 A.D.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elagabalus

Elagabalus died in 222 A.D. Exactly 400 years later, in 622 A.D. the Prophet Mohammad founded a new religion, also based on the cult of a meteorite-stone (I wonder if it's the same stone?). Sort of an eerie coincidence...

Hmm-you think they might pump a gas into that mini-mosque that makes the crazies lose their Islam? THAT would be a hell of a breakthrough!

There is a great article by Bruce Thornton on VDH's website about Arabs and anti-semitism. Here is a direct link to it:

It's fairly long, but worth the time to read it all.

I am NOT concerned that building a mosque at Ben Gurion Airport will increase the risk of a terror attack there.

My objection is how disgusting it is that Israel would grant such legitimacy to a totalitarian religion hell-bent on Israel's own destruction. Hence my quote of the well known hadith, also quoted by Hamas in their charter.

Next up, all airliners must have a mini-control room for muslims. that way the jihadis can crash the planes without being hassled.

Will I feel pity and sympathy to the Israelis for bringing harm to themselves out of cowardice or for being considerate to the Islamists? I definitely will not.

......Just watch the DIE HARD movie to see this action in motion. It could be done.

And along with that feeding trough are cameras and microphones.

"Elagabalus died in 222 A.D"

Ah, but you didn't say HOW he died? He didn't have a good death!

If Mo had been done the same way...if people then had used their common sense...how different would this world be today. If, If, If.

Allat

I believe it was Former President Johnson who said: "It is better to have your enemies inside the tent pissing out than outside the tent pissing in."

What a great idea. A central, confined, monitored area to keep and eye on and "participate" in the discussions of the ROP.

Have the Israelis built a better rat trap? Is this the ultimate Roach Motel (TM)?

If I was a muslim... the last thing I'd do is show it while in an Israeli airport.

Ha Ha....

Hey OmegaMan... I watched your namesake with Charlton Heston starring and I see why you chose the name for yourself.

Sure, but at least the first major attempt to install the worshipping of the Moongod in the Western world was a faliure. Besides that, when Mohammad was on his deathbed he suspected that he had been poisoned and the blame was (as usual) placed on the Jews;

Yeah, that movie does if for me too every time. The mutants remind me so much of the Taliban it's as if I'm watching a documentary rather than sci-fi.

I believe Ben Gurion is spinning in his grave.

Maybe I haven't been in airports enough lately, but are there any Christian Chapels, for Christians only, located in any US airport? How about in Suadi Arabian airports?

Unbelievable, it seems every day the West seems to cave into the bloody arms of the devilworshipers.

Maybe Olhmert well help the Palinistians dig tunnels too!

A mosque is being opened in the UK town of Clitheroe, using a former Methodist chapel, despite 400 letters of objection from local people. There were 177 letters to the council in favour of the application.

http://www.clitheroetoday.co.uk/ViewArticle2.aspx?SectionID=9&ArticleID=1939337

The only possible explanation for this opposition is rampant Islamophobia based on ignorance.
No doubt the locals need to be educated about the true nature of Islam, perhaps using the authentic materials supplied to schools by the Muslim Council of Britain in a 3'x3'x3' box, courtesy of Saudi petrodollars.

Is the airport going to supply toothbrushes (miswak)
for the ablutions?

Great idea! Brilliant! True Genius!

You know, every so often I start to have fears that we might actually lose this conflict.

I can't imagine why, can you?

Hmmm, well there is one possibility...
"Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer"

Depending on how you look at it (if they are doing this for the reasons I think they may), it could very well be an ingenious mousetrap...after all, if they are allowed to be themselves, it makes them easier to target (other than the obvious "garments")...

But that is mere speculation...beyond that, it makes no sense, short of suicide, to do something that ludicrous.

The imbecility of Jews--in Israel as well as in the United States is beyond belief.

Jew fawning on Moslems in the hope of peace, of not being despised.

Jews defending Moslems, I suppose in the name of "tolerance."

Wretches, utter wretches . . .

I can use the J word. I have earned it.

Thanks! History is filled with many strange twists and turns. Elagabalus had been the first emperor to attempt to unify Rome with a monotheistic religion but it was a dismal faliure. However I wasn't forgotten and a century later the Emperor Constantine the Great made Christianity state-religion:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constantine_I

The main difference was that whilst the deranged Elagabalus was completely unsuited for the office of Emperor, Constantine was one of the best rulers the Empire ever had, who made history in realizing that Christianity had a bigger potential than other competing faiths and legalized it (it had previously been ruthlessly persecuted). But what if the situation had been the reverse? If Elagabalus had been the strong ruler that Constantine was a century later, we might all have been praying in the direction of Rome today, worshipping a meteorite in a temple... sounds familiar, huh?

There may be method to the seeming madness. There are, after all, well over 1 mil Arab citizens of Israel the majority of whom are Muslim. There is enough propaganda crap already that Israel doesn't treat her citizens "equally". Being between this rock and a hard place is something many of us can't understand or agree with since we don't live daily facing death threats. What may seem dhimmitude run amok may be a stroke of genius (which obviously has nothing to do with olmert). Time will tell.

A prayer room for Muslims will be built in Ben Gurion Airport.

By tradition, Mosques are safe havens for military operations, a place to store arms, ammo, and other equipment, and to plan paramilitary strikes.

Doesn't Olmert understand that the Moslems will just stick black tape over the camera lenses?

Alarmed -
Doesn't Olmert understand that the Moslems will just stick black tape over the camera lenses?

well, those are the visible decoy cameras. Once they cover them they'll feel free to speak for the very small fiber-optic-thread sized cameras.

Silly muslims - tricks for Jooooooooooz
