Hmm.... is this the same Pete Townshend who was arrested a few years back for accessing a child porn website, only to have the case against him dropped after he claimed he did it for "research" (a defence which British law had never before accepted from people charged with possessing indecent images of children).

If I recall, the "I know what its like to be a woman" remark was from an interview Pete did way back in the late 70's or early 80's, when asked if he had engaged in gay sex(with Bowie?). How truly pompous and self-absorbed one must be to equate *that* with being a woman.
I always thought the Who were rubbish, anyway. Never thought much of Cat Stevens, either.

If I remember right, there was some controversy a while back related to Pete Townsend and kiddyporn. If Mr Townsend believes that he has in some previous life been a muslim, this explains a lot.

It was in 1990 that Townshend said he was a woman (My, Robert, you have a good memory). Possibly he's had a chance since then to perform a Jorgensen or possibly a reverse-Jorgensen, or even for all I know a triple-reverse-Jorgensen, since clearly Townshend enjoys showing off while skating on sexual thin ice.
His announcement that in a former life he was a Muslim comes as no surprise. This revelation undoubtedly has something to do with the time he has spent over the years in repeated visits to that well-known city located somewhere in the Middle East. I mean the city of Rehab.

It has been several months since I have posted, but all I can say is Lord have mercy. There was ever a case to be made againest drugs, it is loonies like this.
