Atomic Iran

Nutters with nukes unveil tomorrow's news today:

From A.P. U.N. says Iran plans nuclear development

Iran expects to start installing thousands of centrifuges in an underground facility next month, the head of the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency said Friday. The installation would pave the way to large-scale uranium enrichment, a potential way of making nuclear weapons.
Iran is apologetic-- oh, I am sorry, Iran is apoplectic.

From Reuters International Atomic Energy Agency's Iran section head must go: Tehran

Iran, cranking up a war of nerves with the West, has demanded the removal of the official running U.N. nuclear inspections, diplomats said on Friday.
From CNN ElBaradei calls for timeout on Iran nuclear program
International Atomic Energy Agency head Mohammed ElBaradei said Friday he was calling for a timeout regarding the Iranian nuclear issue, hoping that talks on the matter can resume.
A time out? And maybe if they tell us what we want to hear we can give them a lollipop.

Well, You cannot say they didn't warn us...

Coming soon-a thousand points of light all over Iran. After that, they won't need any type of fuel to generate light for quite some time.

Iranian mullahs and Prez Igotmyheadinthejohn are trying to entice a western attack, hoping to regain public support and avoid an internal revolution.

It also helps their blame game strategy - somebody else started it - as they plan to nuke Israel.

Sorry, mullahs, we'll hit you on our terms and out timing.

MOHAMMAD CALLS FOR A TIME-OUT!

I dunno about you, but when Mohammad calls for a timeout, I'm watching my ass, close!

"Catch and release", maybe if we beg on bended knee, and tell them we will write them a nasty "non-binding resolution".....

Here's some activism against the Iran nuke threat that everyone can participate in...

This is the cost of our Iraq adventure, our wolf-crying, used to justify this stupid, pointless war that we are losing spectacularly, because none of the illusions about the future of Iraq were ever possible. Now no one respects us and we have whittled away our hegemony, that is the hegemony that is not based on air and naval power. The Iranians know that as long as we're tied down chasing ghosts of stability and democracy in Iraq, we don't have the will to destroy their nuclear program. Ahmadinejad is mocking us, to drive the point home. The prestige we cashed in for the Iraq quagmire should have been spent against a real WMD program that was a genuine threat.

Maybe America will still act, but it will be ten times worse than it would have been without 150,000 Americans in Iraq, a base we don't need when we can use aircraft carriers. It will STILL be better than allowing them to nuclearize.

"we don't have the will to destroy their nuclear program'

.....I question that statement....I have no doubt the destruction is closer at hand than some envision....

We can thank the buddies of Iran, China and Russia, for this grim situation as much as we can thank the "mighty nut job."

Time out? You call a time-out during a football game, not while the enemy is planning your demise. What a dangerous and stupid proposal.

I think of a "time out" kind of like a "cease fire" - optimum time to resupply, reload, and take aim...

Champ: "...You call a time-out during a football game, not while the enemy is planning your demise. What a dangerous and stupid proposal."

That's as dangerous and stupid as the UN gets! They are good at that.

At this point, with the mobilization of our navy into the Gulf, coupled with the repeated threats issued defiantly by Iran, I believe a preemptive strike is imminent.

We all know how Bush, despite his many faults, views the undeserved posessing or intending to possess WMD's, whether imagined or not. He feels no obligation to honor a UN timetable on anything. Time-outs, while effective in pre-school settings, are grossly misplaced in matters such as these.

Yet another delaying tactic by the UN.

And it seems to me the quickest and safest way to achieve stablility in Iraq is to kick Iran (and in effect Syria), very hard, in the nuts.

And not to go 'nation building' in Iran either - let them stew in their juices for awhile.

"let them stew in their juices for awhile."

...OR lie smoking in craters....

The best solution is a ground invasion. This is the only way to get everything.

We need to move all ships out of range of their Sunburn anti-ship missiles until Iran's ability to fight back is ended. That requires a ground invasion to eliminate their retaliatory ability.

Ground losses in Iraq during the combat phase were under 200 killed. A Nimitz class carrier has 5700 on board. One missile that took out them all would kill 28.5 times as many as we lost in the ground phase in Iraq, actually more than 30 since ground losses are counted under 180 during that phase.

"re Thomas Holsinger on “The Case for Invading Iran”"

Calling a "time out"? The infantilization of public life continues. We have grown-ups referring on radio and television to the "N word" (Mommy, Kenny said the "N word"). We have Mohammad el Baradei calling for a "Time Out."

Good God.

Red Rover, Red Rover, let Ahmadinejad come over.

Oops, he's just called a "Time Out."

And then there are Bush and Cheney, with their crazed policy of "I-think-I-can-I-think-I-can" but without any of that baby locomotive's winsome charm.

Goodnight, Moon.

And Goodnight, Vienna.

A time out? Ugh.. The UN is such a joke. Is International Atomic Energy Agency head Mohammed ElBaradei a Muslim? Sounds like one, and it sure makes me wonder.

Our war effort in Iraq, as well as our strategy in regard to Iran's nuke program, is paralyzed by the political climate. There are no "brave Iraquis"-Islamic culture does not recognize nation-states as objects of loyalty or obligation-there is only religious and clan identity. Unlike WWII, where those under occupation saw the benefit of rebuilding and revitalizing Germany or Japan and were largely cooperative, Iraq is a hornet's nest of intersectine violence and tribalism. A sufficient occupation force in a situation like this would have to be ten times the size of the quick strike that took Baghdad, and this is clearly a political impossibility.

If "finger to the wind" politics continues to dictate our Iran policy, there is not likely to be decisive action until Dinnerjacket actually nukes someone, or the Saudis get nervous enough to pressure the Bush administration. I certainly hope that won't be the case.

HMMM, time out? Put iran in a chair in the corner until they calm down.

What a crock!!

Nuke 'em till they glow, then let Walmart move in.

Unless one of the Islamic countries is nuked
to show them that we can be as brutal as them, till then their guts and confidence will increase day by day.

One country is nuked and then the rest will start abandoning the so called jihad scared shit.
Even country like Pakistan, who are most renowed for changing sides as and when required will start to rethink about talking about Islam and Ummah.
Look at the U turn the they did on Taliban and started killing them after 9/11 becasue they were scared shit by Armitage threat.
Make Iran and example, that do not f....k on the name of religion.

For all the infantile games, remember that this agent-of-satan's oft-stated first use will be to anihilate Israel. Most likely, there will be a provocation initiated by iranian clients in gaza, syria, and/or lebanon, then an Israeli response, then the nuclear attack on Israel. Israel must not wait for the provocation. They must take amadasahatter at his word and preempt the attack.

Yes, the U.S. State Dept arabists will see to it that there is no effective leadership in this from here, but the Israeli's have absolutely no choice if they are to survive.

Democrat rule on wars of choice or convenience:

1. It should be chosen by the enemy,

2. at the enemies leisure,

3. at the place and time of maximum convenience
to the enemy,

4. and least convenience to us,

5. to inflict the maximum losses on us,

6. without our ability to effectively respond,

7. and result in the maximum humiliation and defeat for us.

International Atomic Energy Agency head Mohammed ElBaradei...

I look at this queer comingling of words and get all queasy like, as I also do when I hear "Admiral Paki from the British Navy" and such.

Mohammedans are dangerous children. They are not to be entrusted with control over any serious weapons or technologies, or the governance thereof.

(Iran's nukes are) the cost of our Iraq adventure...

Woulda happened anyway.

... pointless war that we are losing...

The point of the war, whether or not intended, is to prove that Moslems cannot be civilized.

Now no one respects us...

Us is USA, England, and Oz, in other words the Anglo nations. Nobody else had the foresight or courage to step up to the table and record in blood that Moslems cannot be civilized.

And with non-combatant friends like the PRC, Russia, Japan, Taiwan, Canada, Sweden, South Korea, Germany, France, et al, who needs enemies?

...and we have whittled away our hegemony...

After the the first big Jihad terror war bomb goes off we'll have plenty of influence, with the probable exception of corrpt ungovernable Russia and ambitious stupid Red China.

These things take time.

“This is the cost of our Iraq adventure, our wolf-crying, used to justify this stupid, pointless war that we are losing spectacularly.”

Losing spectacularly?

If you think that 3000 dead is losing then you need to extract your head from your arse and read your world war history. Britain has lost more men in a raid than Iraq.

One day your government might ask you to fight.

"International Atomic Energy Agency head Mohammed ElBaradei said Friday he was calling for a timeout regarding the Iranian nuclear issue, hoping that talks on the matter can resume."

No problem! We can beat them with both hands tied behind our back.
Noblesse oblige and all that...

The fallacy that there are too many Muslims for them to hate us, is the inverse of reality. A large gang feels free to hate a small one. Muslim genocide or expulsion of Christians and Jews has been higher in the last 100 years than in any time in history. As their numbers go up, they genocide us more and more.

The inverse idea might be called D'Souza's fallacy of numbers.

Hi everyone
I am new here.
I just want to share an experience of past which has will help understand why Iran is biggest threat ever.
As a tourist, I visited both India and Pakistan in 1994.
My guide in India, lamented on the terrorists bieng aided by Pakistan on the name of jihad and complained that Pakistan put on face of the innoncent and was palying a double game ,which we chose to ignore or did not understand.
I assumed it was a simple case of an Indian telling his side of story and asked him wouldnt he like to nuke Pakistan.
He said that would not be good idea as innoncent Pakistani would be killed who had no hand in terrorism. It was the ISI which should be tamed but unfortunately USA and other countries were helping it against India indirectly.
He aslo commented that someday, these same people ,that Americans think are their allies will turn against them because the ultimate goal of ISI (which consisted if Islamic fanatics) is not just to kill Hindus but to kill all non muslims.
At that point of time I thought here is one Indian who is crazy and brainwashed and because he was not educated much he beleived what his media told him.

Just for comparision sake I asked the same question to a Pakistani guy, who had a degree in Political science and happened to befriend me at Paksitani musuem. and I found his answer to be little disturbing.
He showed me a painting hanging in musuem by some famous Pakistani General of the army.On first glance,it looked like a sun, but on closer look it was the exhaust of a missile. This he said is the imagination and dream of all pakistani's.It was painting of a nuclear missile headed to India to destroy them and get revenge for the 1971 war defeat. And the other pakistanis actually cheered when he said that.

I forgot both those incidents soon after.

But after 9/11 and since we have been seeing the jihad call against Non-Muslims growing daily in numbers.
Today I relaise the Indian uneducated guy was far more educated and had peaceful view towards the Islamic world even though he was right in complaining that USA is on the wrong side, which i had riducled him for in my mind.
His words which sounded funny to me at that time now suddenly seem to be coming true ,when I see Imams preaching hate against us openly in them mosques.
Was it our past policy to support Paksitan and Saudi Arabia with both financial and military support a good one??? Wouldnt it bbeen a better idea to provide same aid to India instead. Atleast they dont seem to have hatred level to the extent I saw in the Paksitanis.

Is it our past policy of helping the Islamic nations backfiring on us and proving to be deadly for us.????

In the same way as this example opened my eyes a bit late, I hope we dont open out eyes a bit too late on Iran because even he says he wants to destroy Israel and USA and he is no bystander in Musuem. He is the President of the country which dreams of nuking Jews/Chrisitans and dreams of Islamic rule all over world. He is far more danger than Pakistanis.

Welcome Indiana Jones -- I'm a HUGE fan!

In history, when a people become numerous, they become more aggressive. The 19th century saw a great increase in population, and it was followed by the greatest wars and genocides.

what about irans satellite launch?i hope we use this for target practice for the missle defense system

http://www.infowars.net/Pages/Oct_04/181004_Iran_satellite.html

(From someone who doesn't speak American):

What the hell is a time-out???

Bottom of page discussion genocide in Turkey

Stephen Farrell, Jerusalem and Rana Sabbagh Gargour, Amman

Turkey 1923 15 percent, Now 1 percent

Syria 1920 33 percent, Now 10 percent

Iraq 1970 5.8 percent, Now 2.65 percent

Jerusalem 1922 53 percent, Now 2 percent

Bethlehem 1948 85 percent, Now 12 percent

The same applies to Jews in Muslim countries in the last 75 years.

So the higher the Muslim population the more they genocide Christians or expel them. These lands have seen a huge rise in population.

Alarmed Pig Farmer: "And with non-combatant friends like the PRC, Russia, Japan, Taiwan, Canada, Sweden, South Korea, Germany, France, et al, who needs enemies?"

Canada is not exactly "non-combatant". Canada is fighting in Afghanistan and bring home dead and injured soldiers and as you know 1 dead soldier is too many, however, principles and fighting terror does mean something, even to Canada. Canada is not your enemy, Sir.

I have a feeling our screwing around time is just about up. It is now time for a decision. We can act now and completely obliterate Iran (our mortal enemy bent on our total destruction for those still unclear on the concept) or suffer the consequences of being weak and timid in the face of this latest muslim aggression. God save us all, the United States, Israel, and the whole Western world if our leaders choose the second option.

Hello to all... This is my 1st post here. Nice to see most of you maintain such a positive air of levity when confronted with such an impending change of life as we know it.

We live in a country much like Iraq/Iran/Pakistan in that there are a bunch of nut-jobs running this country yet in-fighting as if to be appointed head of the class by teacher.

For me it is more scary what our own government is or isn't during this clash for civilisation. We are living much as the German's did during the 20's: inflation has been altered much in the way of statistics by politicians who claim they created many millions of jobs. We all know the cost of living here is unprecedented since our industrial workbase has been replaced by low-paying service sector jobs.

Compare amanamamana-nut-job and his bosses' recent media activities to what Hitler did by building up his military might in full view of the world and what happened after that...

Our judges and lawmakers are supposed to uphold the laws of the land. They deem it constitutionally correct to order police departments to protect marching bands of nazi's bent on proclaiming their ignorance and racist mindset. When groups of muslims all over the country whine they listen. They order the state of California to continue keeping illegals on the dole after the PEOPLE voted not to allow it. 100 million undocumented births were recorded last year in CA and the hospitals have no choice but to continue caring for these new anarchists at our expense. I won't go on and on at this time, just getting my feet wet!

Our government is pandering to illegals (esp. muslims) in an attempt at what? To appease them for some imagined reason? American citizens are being disregarded by their own government while mexicans (last year) and muslims (since the wonderful cartoons in the nice Danish newspaper)are bowed to with red carpet treatment.

As American citizens we are one nation. As a nation we are schizophrenic and badly in need of medications. Jihadists see this as our weakness. I believe we will rise to the occaision when need be.

I have no doubt either that we (perhaps Israel 1st) are (along with Canada & Great Britain) very close to pre-empting what has been building in the middle east by their nutjobs who are just a bit worse than many we have here claiming to be public servants.

Since growing up in the 60's I always dreaded when or if another atomic bomb would go off someday... Today I think it may just be what the doctor ordered for what ails us...!

Welcome aboard, brownkitty! I hope you enjoy the forum and find it worthwhile! :)

Why wait? Let's make them nuclear today....albeit on the RECEIVING end.

Junior officers in Vietnam think at the level of huts, medals, atrocities, photographs, investigations, etc. General George C. Marshall in WWII island hopped and country hopped to Germany and Japan, the two enemy homelands as fast as he could.

General Marshall didn't stop to nation build or investigate NCO's misbehaving with prisoners. If he had, millions would have died in addition to those who did. We need to occupy the 3 main enemy homelands, Iran, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, immediately while we have a temporary advantage that lets us lose 200, 2000 or even 20,000 in each war. We have to finish this World War now, and defeat the 3 enemy homelands, Iran, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in the next 24 months.

Well isn't that surprising, the objective of the United States in World War II, nation building "Guadalcanal island" gets only 26 hits.

Oh this is classic :-) best laugh I've had all week, well except for that comment by YankeeDoddle stating Gore was an intellectual and stunningly intelligent...

JFGR,

"Time Out" is a term borrowed from US sports like basketball and US football since the coach has some discretion to suspend play by calling a Time Out -- unlike international football.

This whole thing reminds me of a fight I got into in my 20's. This guy with a bat threatens my friend. I ask the guy to put down the bat and be reasonable. He announces that he is gonna hit me and raises the bat. I step under the bat controll the weapon and take it away from him then break his leg with it. He then says he was never gonna hit me with the bat, which is bs. Simple analogy Iran has raised the bat and announced its intentions to hurt us and our friends ... time to break some legs. She will whine when her leg is broken, but you gotta do what ya gotta do what choice do we have?

Islam has a gigantic nuclear broomstick aiming for our derrieres!!!

Iran should be warned by the U.N., put on notice that inspections must be allowed as agreed. If Iran refuses, then Iran should be removed from the U.N. ,for say five years. During tht time, they can not deal with any country that is in the U.N., or if attacked, the U.N. can not assist them, or pass any resolution against the country that it is in conflict with.

That would help get the attention of them, and hold it. The U.N. would then possibly start to become somthing for what it was intended to be. If the U.N. is ever to be somthing, it must start to do such things, or soon it will be no more.

Iran prepares people for 'messiah miracles'
Government broadcasts series on imminent appearance of apocalyptic Islamic 'Mahdi'

Could this be the reason why? Why nuclear technology and Islamic prophecy at the same time baffles me?

I know Persia modern Iran is said to be part of a large-scale war against Israel in Ezekiel 38-39.
But some argue that this is a war 1000 years at least in future Gog and Magog war but will see, could be two separate events of history reapeating it self.
