Australia: City council cancels hall booking for caliphate conference

Good news from Australia. An update on this story. "Council ban on Islamic conference," by Sarah Smiles, in The Age, with thanks to Hamuzi:

A SYDNEY council has cancelled a town hall booking for a radical Islamic conference, claiming its host, Hizb ut-Tahrir, has incited hatred at similar evens in the past.

The Sunni Islamic group advocates the revival of the Muslim caliphate, an Islamic superstate that once stretched across the Arab world to Spain.

Bankstown City Council says one of the group's speakers made hateful comments about women and challenged the authority of the Australian Government at a previous event at Bankstown Town Hall.

"They made strong, negative comments inciting hatred towards women," Bankstown Mayor Tanya Mihailuk said. "Much stronger than Sheikh (Taj al-Din) al-Hilali's comments," she said of the controversial Sydney cleric who caused a storm last year when he likened scantily clad women to meat.

The organisation, whose name means "The Party of Liberation" requested a booking for a conference at the town hall last year titled: "The Illegality of the state of Israel," which was turned down by the council.

"The (event's) promotional material was shocking," Cr Mihailuk said. "It showed daggers with blood put through the state of Israel.

"It would have certainly breached our conditions of hire in that it would incite racial vilification and violence."

The spokesman for Hizb ut-Tahrir, Wassim Doureihi, rejected the claims as "baseless".

The right call in preventing possible jihadi planning.

Man the title had me going for a minute:

"Australia: City council cancels hall booking for caliphate conference"

Until I read the story I thought it was referring to an Ozzy City Council that had cancelled one of it's OWN meetings in order to accommodate a conference calling for the Khalifah!

I thought, "oops, they should have put this one at DhimmiWatch".

That's the trouble with ambiguously terse Headlines, I guess.

Good for this town council. What are they doing letting Hizb operate there in the first place? I hope they don't stop at cancelling meeting halls.

Well, that's nice. Won't it make more sense to arrest them, in addition to unbooking the conference?

Where is the brain?

Towards women? What about their views on the rights of homosexuals? Why are the liberals so silent on human rights? Who is giving them an easy pass?

Why not book the Muslim conference in a typical fun Muslim location like Gaza, for instance.!!

"The Party of Liberation" - Liberation? thats some funny stuff.

The Aussies standing up against the jihadis' Nuremberg-type rally is the best news I've heard all week. Bravo!

Wouldn't it be wiser to simply allow the conference, videotape the whole thing, and then have authorities waiting to arrest the perpetrators for hate crimes? With the fresh audio/visual exhibit, this should be an easy prosecution.

Didn't that cancellation involve profiling?

Prepare for the howling.

Oh, how "racist"! I love it-book this meeting in the lovely ummah and stay there permanently.

the aussies are still ruled by siths.

why do they have some vicars in prison for talking about the reality of islam and only ban conferences because of the fact the promotional material "incite[s] racial vilification and violence".

I find that odd.

so one law moslems, one for infidels. sound like a dhimmi nation to me.

Excellent news! From some of the reader comments on the Australian Herald Sun item on this hate-convention, it looks like the wonderful Aussies have spoken!

The organizers are peeved off. I don't think we have heard the last of this.

Did anyone read: The Ruling System of Islam at the above link?

Al-Qurafi and Ibn Hazm (prominent scholars of Islam) reported:

"That it would be our duty to protect the people of dhimma (non-Muslim citizens) if aggressors attacked our land, and we should die protecting them if necessary. Any neglect of such a duty would be a breach of the rights of the dhimma."

A few images of the Khilafah conference flyers.

Thanks, Webler, for a view of the conference flyers.
One of the flyers states:

"The call for Khilafah is the embodiment of the resurgent voice of political Islam. It is the call that is reverberating in every corner of the Muslim world and shaking every palace and throne in it's wake. BUT THE MANIFESTATION OF THIS CALL IS NOT A FOREGONE CONCLUSION."

That's right...it is not. And the Australians standing up and cancelling the jihadists' forum is not only a good sign but also, a show of solidarity with those of us who fight jihad. First Somalia and now Australia.

Hey, fellow American patriots, it's our turn to stand up and say no to Keith Ellison's agenda to stop any opposition to Islam in America.

P.S. While some useful idiots will say that Muslims are only advocating the Khilafah be reinstated in the Muslim world, remember they believe that the entire world belongs to Allah, hence EVERY land is part of the Muslim world and allowed to be infiltrated and subjugated. I don't remember Australia being a Muslim land?!!?!!

I hear the US Democratic party has just moved the planned Caliphate Convention to the US Capitol Building.

Once they start offering interest free derived cash for business properties in Bamnkstown and those petty businessmen who see a good sale and so sell, you will find more and more Muslims popping up on the council and suddenly, as if by a miracle, the local pool will be closed "for cleaning" on fridays and books by robert Spencer and by Salman Rushdie will disappear from the shelves of the local library.

Unlikely? Paranoia? Islamophobia?

Look at what happened in the UK in Lancashire and Yorkshire and is happening in Brunswick and Moree.

Knowledge strengthens resolve. Truth is a two-edged sword. It cuts both ways. The claims by Risala of the 'hollowness' of free speech can be easily countered, thrust and parry, by reminding Muslims that free speech carries responsibilities that must over-ride all contrary loyalties. Free speech does not allow someone to incite hatred, blood-lust or delusions of grandeur with impunity. Nor can it be for very long mis-used before those who understand and love such hard won freedom stand up to be counted. Nice try, Risala, but as Bart Simpson is wont to say, think harder Homer.

'Behead those who insult Islam' is not an example of free speech. But it is an accurate reflection of the hearts and minds of those who worship Mohammed and his 'god'.

'One day Islam will will rule the world' is not a legitimate claim of fact or truth or even misguided religious fervor. It is a threat, pure and simple, to those who will not, under any circumstances, allow themselves to be subject to the Caliphate, its cronies or henchmen. It is, in actual fact, a declaration of war. As such, I pose the questions:

When will the war of words, of ideologies, of diametrically opposed world views, be reduced to the rubble of bullets, bombs, broken cities and bodies?

And what makes the Moslem think that he can 'win'?
