I fail to see why the British Army would cut deals with the Taliban when they are getting so many good kills for the loss of thirty two men. Especially has the Taliban are failing spectacularly when it comes to killing Royal Marines thanks in part to the ground work that was laid down by the Paras.

I think I must be missing something here.
On the same day that the Telegraph, which is known for its scaremongering, prints a story, The Sun prints the same story only the conclusion is completely different.
The Sun which has been the forces paper since as long as I have been alive at least, is not to be believed by these American posters, they would rather believe the un- corroborated Telegraph story. Why on earth would that be?
Seriously I don’t get it. If every American mistake printed in the MSM was attacked by the British JW posters regardless of their being any bloody evidence whatsoever, the Americans would be up in arms.
So here’s a plan. We’ll put Tony in concrete boots and the day after they dredge him up from the Thames we’ll withdraw all our troops from anywhere the mighty Americans are (they obviously don’t need us). And we will rebuild the cross channel artillery guns at Dover with the billions we will save. Hell we could build cannons capable of hitting Spain with the money we have spent.
Happy days all round then. You get rid of us terrible cowardly fighters and get all the glory for yourselves. And our lads won’t still be getting killed in Afghanistan fighting a war that only started because America got attacked.
If you don’t like Britain helping you out, I suggest you contact your nearest politician with a strong complaint.
I've seen this story substantiated a number of times on cable TV.. the Brits did in fact cut a deal with the Taliban in Helmand province..so they could safely withdraw their troops.
Problem is, in my opinion, in such a war as Afghanistan and Iraq, there are no "enemy forces" and everyone is a civilian, ergo all casualties on the other side are "civilian"..especially if the gun is scooped up.. and voila they cry, and the world believes "another innocent civilian killed".
And then, as they do in Palestine, there is whining about children getting killed, and in the current lexicon anyone under 18 (or looks under 18) is a child, whereas in truth boys as young as five or six are waging armed Jihad.. Just as like in Viet Nam, when young boys would plant mines in the road,act as runners and couriers and even pick off G.I.'s with AK 47's .. in fact in a guerilla war..the only way to survive and WIN is to use the tactics of Muhammad and declare the entire population is the enemy..and proceed from their, otherwise you (our President and politician) are setting our troops up for the slaughter and wasting their lives..
Sometimes Americans and Brits forget who their best friends are so thats why we see these little spats on the blogs. If the truth be know America has as many Dhimmis as UK if not more I think the call themselves The Democratic Party. At least in UK the PC leftwing ,treehuggers dont have their own party. The British Army has made no statement to the effect of withdrawing troops from Helmand. In fact the Royal Marines have just completed a major sweep of their area in order to facilitate the safe repair of the Kajaki dam that will provide electricity to around 1.8 million people. Many Taliban died during the sweep, with only one RM shot in the hand.
So why on earth would they be looking to retreat when they are winning against the Pakistanis and Arabs etc, who make up so large a part of the Taliban?
What do you think the numerous Afghan women and intelligent (Not fanatical Moon worshipping) men think about the choice between having roads and electricity. Or being shot in Kabul before a football match because they are not pious enough?
If the British Army was seriously talking about withdrawing from Afghanistan then it would have made the headlines at the BBC in a flash, and every rag head in the world would be jumping up and down and shooting themselves in the foot with excitement.
