Fritz Kuhn's Bund and William Pelley's Silver Shirts were quite bold in their pro-Nazi and antisemitic activities. The Bund held a famous rally right in the middle of New York City, in Madison Square Garden, as late as 1940. But after December 7, 1941, the Bund was disbanded. Its members were harried, some were arrested, and all lapsed into silence. And so did the members of the other groups tracked by John Roy Carlson in Under Cover.
There are three things that amount to the equivalent of December 7, 1941 in this war-without-end in which we are now engaged. This war began earlier, but was not marked by one spectacular attack. The Jihad had fallen over the past two centuries into desuetude only because of Muslim weakness, and has now been revived when three things occurred to make Muslims believe that they could now go for broke and achieve superiority over their permanent, because non-Muslim, enemies.
These three things were:
1) the past, present, and continuing OPEC oil revenues, which since 1973 have amounted to ten trillion dollars.
2) the tens of millions of Muslims permitted by heedless elites everywhere to enter and settle and make themselves at home in Infidel countries, all over the Bilad al-kufr, behind what they are taught to regard as enemy lines.
3) the exploitation by Muslims of Western advances in technology, such as audiocassettes (so useful to Khomeini in 1978-79), videocassettes, satellite television (Al-Jazeera, Al-Manar, and others), and the Internet, on which all those Muslim websites preach the faith, inveigle the Spiritual Searchers, and offer videos of decapitation of Infidels that apparently are such a useful recruiting tool for the cause of Jihad.
During the Cold War, those who were regarded as agents of the Soviet Union were tracked. Some were arrested. Some lost their jobs. Some were punished for membership in the Communist Party, by the government or, informally, by fellow citizens unwilling to tolerate such an allegiance.
Why does CAIR behave so boldly as to attempt to thwart, completely without fear, and at every step, the most modest measures of self-defense? Why does it think it can get away with the kinds of things it does?
Because it can. And it will, until enough people, including those from quarters CAIR least expects, have learned enough to be implacable in their mistrust and their relentless hostility to CAIR and everything for which it stands, and in a thousand fully lawful ways, that go beyond what trivial measures are taken by the government, begin to make life as difficult as they can for CAIR and for all its supporters. Just as they would have, in 1941, for supporters of Fritz Kuhn's Bund.
One of the founders of CAIR and its former Board chairman, one Omar Ahmad, is a self-described "Palestinian." He has been quoted, famously, as saying that Islam is in the U.S. to become dominant, and the Qur’an the only law of the land. He now denies saying it, but the original reporter stands by her reportage. One wishes to add that Omar Ahmad, in addition to his tireless work on behalf of Islam and its promotion until it assumes what he regards as its rightful place in America and the world, meanwhile makes his living as CEO of a company called Silicon Expert Technologies.
That company can be searched for online; among the companies that have a "partnership" with "Silicon Expert Technologies" is Azerity. One would like to think that computer engineers, and computer executives at other companies, in choosing whether or not to "partner" or have other dealings with Omar Ahmad, would first fully inform themselves of what CAIR does, and what Omar Ahmad does and says and thinks. They could perhaps factor that information into their mental equation, and even, one would like to think, into their business decisions. One would hope, as well, that those alive in 1938 would not have bought Voigtlander cameras, or in 1953 bought Baltic amber from official Soviet outlets, such as Vneshtorg, which would use that valyuta or hard currency for purposes inimical to the health of liberal democracies.
Everyone is free to consider the wellbeing and safety of our own Infidel ways and institutions and their continued existence, in making decisions as to what partners one wishes to have, and what companies one wishes to hire to provide goods and services. And others, in turn, can make their commercial decisions as to whether or not to have dealings with that second company as well.
Or not, as the case may be.
Perhaps Infidels, in their own small way, can have an effect on the businesses which those who run CAIR, or contribute to CAIR, or support CAIR in any way, may rely on for their livelihood.
Sauce for the goose, sauce for that famous gander.
Hugh,
I wouldn't be very optimistic. The love of money is greater than the love for one's nation.
There existed in USA a national paranoia with regards to Communism. "Commie" sympathisers were attached with social stigma and were practically hounded out of jobs, schools and in some cases from their homes. The whole nation was practically geared to fight the Reds.
With the defeat of Communism and mellowing of attitudes, all that is seen as bad old days. No such general paranoia exists today regarding the threat from islam. After the long cold war, people are weary of fighting another such conflict, albeit this time with islam.
However regrettable and fantastic an idea it may seem to us now, but one must ask if it will take another "McCarthyism" and the resultant hysteria to "name-n-shame" CAIR sympathisers?
Love of Money or Love of Nation? Maybe something even more basic.
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs: physiological, safety, love/belonging, status, and actualization.
The West tried to achieve actualization in the 60s. The gyroscope will return to equilibrium once we slide back to safety.
Dear Hugh:
We suggest you e-mail Speaker of the House Nancy ("Clavicle")Pelosi a copy of your essay here.
If this doesn't get her to snap out of it, it is possible nothing will.
Hugh Fitzgerald asks: Why does [CAIR] think it can get away with the kinds of things it does?
And answers: Because it can.
The next question that screams to be asked, is: Why can it?
The prevalent answer proferred at Jihad Watch, whether officially or unofficially, is:
The "elites" have enough power to control most everything the West does, sociopolitically, and these same "elites" are predisposed to facilitate, rather than fight, Islam.
The question, as William Buckley used to say, then becomes: Why are these "elites" so predisposed?
We have one typical Jihad Watcher answer already logged in above: "The love of money is greater than the love for one's nation."
Other less typical Jihad Watcher answers begin to creep dangerously into conspiracy-theory territory, particularly that no-man's-land where too many nowhere men are congregating these days, where the polar extremes of Left and Right converge in a paranoid suspicion of Globalism and Bush's "Saudi ties".
At other times, Hugh Fitzgerald has supplied an answer to the Question's latter permutation with his three (or four) Esdrujula Elves -- Timidity, Stupidity, Cupidity (and Rigidity). At least this answer is a refinement and an attempt at crystallization of this question of the highest importance. But it fails by locating all of the onus of aetiology in personality flaws, as though sociology meant nothing. At any rate, the Esdrujula Explanation merely describes symptoms and passes the buck of the Question, which then becomes: Why are these personality flaws sufficiently dominant in our sociopolitical culture now as to hinder the most exigent threat to our safety and to our culture, when these same personality flaws -- which are as old as Noah -- were signficantly less dominant during, for example, our previous great crisis, World War II only 60-odd years ago?
To concede that one has no answer is better than to proffer explanations that only describe symptoms and do not appropriately appreciate the deep and broad dimensions of the problem to which the Question points.
Just as one cannot effectively fight an Enemy which one has not properly identified, so one cannot answer a Question which one has not properly posed.
And if this Question is not properly posed, it cannot be effectively answered.
And if it is not effectively answered, the Problem to which it points cannot, in turn, be effectively solved.
And if that Problem cannot be effectively solved, it is highly likely we cannot effectively fight our Enemy -- or at the very best, we will have to suffer horrific losses and injuries of life and property that could have been avoided.
I like this post a lot. It is about what the average person can do, right now to help the anti-jihad cause. Don't whine about what the government should do, don't blame the political party you don't like, just do it.
There are many aspects to the war and one important one is economic. I have done a small bit for the cause when during the Danish cartoon controversy I bought some Carlsberg beer, leggos for my grandchildren and a pair of Ecco shoes. During the latest Hizbollah attack, I got some Israeli wine and other food products. On a larger scale, I am driving a hybrid car and using E-10 fuel (10% ethanol). Anyone can do some things to have an economic influence on the war. I am looking for more that I can do. I try to recycle and use less energy, not because I am a greenie weenie, but because I want to keep dollar$ out of the jihaddis hands.
Does anyone else have any anti-jihad, economic ideas to share?
These people had an effect. They lashed out.

Today, according to Himalayan Times, Muslims in Nepal staged a protest, bringing traffic to a standstill for an hour. Members of the umbrella group Nepal Muslim Ettehad Organisation were behind the protests. The demonstrators sat in the road at Ratha Park today, protesting that they wanted to be proportionally represented in parliament. Ratna Park in Kathmandu is where the Jama Masjid mosque is situated. This is one of the four "traditional" mosques in the country.
Taj Mohammad Miya, joint coordinator of the Nepal Muslim Ettehad Organisation, said: "The interim constitution should show respect for the sacrifice we made during the Jana Andolan II. As the statute makes no mention of the sacrifice we made during the movement, how can we say the interim statute is inclusive?"
The Jana Andolan (People's Movement) II was the gathering of protests against the autocratic monarchy in Nepal in which King Gyanendra had decided that he was better able to contain Maoist insurgents than the civil politicians. He had appointed himself head of a personally-selected government in February 2005. Most of the members of the parliament Gyanendra had deposed fled to India. There they plotted to restore democracy.
The Jana Andolan II movement was formed, and in early 2006 it had caused enough demonstrations to force the monarch to back down and accept a democratically elected government. The group was named after the original Jana Andolan movement of 1990, which had first removed the "absolute" aspects of Nepal's monarchy and also the policy of "Hindu nationalism" espoused by the monarchy. Jana Andolan I began the process of instituting a constitutional monarchy, and abolished the "panchayat" system of justice, where village elders set up councils to judge people by their own values, rather than a set code of law.
Nepal has been in a state of chaos politically since Gyanendra's nephew slaughtered almost the entire royal family while allegedly high on drugs in June 2001. A Maoist insurgency, funded by China, which seeks to establish its influence and to make Nepal a "buffer state" between Tibet and India, has been ongoing since before Jana Andolan 1.
How the Muslims suffered in Jana Andolan II is not clear. But as we have not dealt with Nepal's Muslims here, it is worth examining what has been happening.
Muslims now comprise 8% of Nepal's total population of 27,000,000 according to one source. Traditionally, the Muslims of Nepal have been well-assimilated with the Hindu and Buddhist (about 10% of the total) population. This is quite a large increase on the 4% of the population recorded in the 2001 census. The Muslims speak Urdu, the "official" language of Pakistan.
This number has risen as a result of the Kashmir crisis, where for the last 16 years Muslims have been fleeing into Nepal. One source claims that the indigenous Muslims of Nepal are mainly unskilled laborers of subsistence farmers, leading to their lack of representation in the political process. "Even in the faith that they profess, their knowledge of Islamic principles and culture is very meager, and they do need guidance and direction in this respect. Many of them are Muslims in name only, but hardly know anything else about Islam", the report states.
However, with the rise of Muslims from Kashmir, there has been a politicization of Nepal's Muslims, and groups such as Al-Haramain (listed by the US as a terrorist entity) has been funding the construction of mosques and madrassas in Nepal. Saudi Arabia and Egypt also offer scholarships to their countries where the Muslims come directly into contact with political and "international" Islam.
Islam first arrived in Nepal in the 12th century. Muhammad Nassir Al-Abboudy of the Saudi Muslim World League has said that Nepalese Muslims are incapable of overcoming their socio-political and economic "backwardness". This reasoning was used to justify "dawah" or missionary work in Nepal.
In 2004, the Nepalese authorities began to regulate the Saudi-funded madrassas. Because of the Kashmiri issue with India, there has been Pakistani funding of madrassas. One Pakistani funder is Pantech, which is a front group for ISI, Pakistan's intelligence and security agency.
500,000 Nepalese work abroad, with an estimated 350,000 working in the Middle East. About 17,000 Nepalese were working in Iraq in 2004. On August 19 of that year, 12 Nepalese workers and two French workers were separately kidnapped in Iraq.
The two French workers were eventually released, and it was later claimed that their government had paid a secret ransom. The Nepalese were not so lucky. A week after their kidnapping, one Nepalese was decapitated, and 11 were shot. On Tuesday, August 31 2004, an Islamist website showed video footage of the beheaded man having his head sawn off and then held up as a bloody trophy.
The results in Nepal proved catastrophic for the Muslim population. For the first time in its modern history, there was inter-religious violence in Nepal, and the victims were the Muslims. The Jama Masjid was attacked, and two hundred copies of the Koran were taken and burned. Offices of Pakistan International Airlines and Emirates Air were attacked, as well as private residences and media outlets. On September 1, two people were killed. One of these died as a mob tried to storm the Egyptian Embassy.
Sayed Mohammed Habibulah, a Muslim in charge of Tribhuvan University's political science faculty said: "Muslims and non-Muslims have been living side by side for the past 1,000 years and there has never been any communal violence. This anti-Muslim wave will be short-lived. Muslims in Nepal are peace-loving people and loyal to the state."
Muslims took part in the Jana Andolan II protests, in which many civilians were attacked by forces loyal to King Gyanandra, but it is not clear that the 2006 protests saw the Muslim community specifically targeted. Jana Andolan II was successful in that it placed 90,000 troops under parliamentary control, rather than in the hands of the autocrat Gyanendra. For the first time in its history, Nepal was declared a secular country, rather than a Hindu Kingdom.
It is hard to say what significance today's protest really has. Is it a sign of genuine grievance or is it a sign of political manipulation carried out by imported Muslims and their ideas? Time will tell.

1. Stop muslim immigration.
2. Get off the oil.
3. Make muslims unhappy enough to leave by talking about them in an unfavorable way. Not violent.
4. Thank people like Goode.
5. Buy Spencer's books and leave them for people to read.
6. Thank Hugh.

Here is a Fatwa on Bilad Al-Kufr from islamonline.net (see http://www.islamonline.net/livefatwa/english/Browse.asp?hGuestID=ZHJ9rr)
Please note the use of Daa'wa as a form of Jihad, i.e., as a means of implementing Shari'ah Law, which, after all, is the purpose of Jihad.
Question: What is the exact definition of Bilad Al-kufr and Bilad Al-Islam?
And I would like to know if the Western countries are considered as Bilad Al-kufr or not.
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
“There is no problem as regards defining the abode of Islam (Dar Al-Islam) and that of disbelief (Dar Al-Kufr). The abode of Islam is any country in which there is a Muslim majority, even if its ruler is not completely abiding by Islam, and even if the government there is completely against Islam. Every country that has a non-Muslim majority is regarded as an abode of disbelief.
But this division has no significant consequence save the goal of Muslims who are propagating Islam in each category of countries. As we see Muslim activists in Muslim countries aiming at reforming the systems and exhorting the government so that they will completely abide by the Islamic teachings, Muslim activists in non-Muslim countries aim at spreading the Islamic message [Daa’wa] among non-Muslims so as to convince them to enter Islam.
The only issue which is raised in this regard is that some Muslims regard every non-Muslim country as an abode of war (Dar Al-Harb ) basing this on the opinions of some jurists who were greatly influenced by certain historical circumstances. In my opinion, this is not true, for the general rule regarding the abode of disbelief is that they should be regarded originally as an abode of Daa’wa, not of war.
But they may turn into an abode of war under certain circumstances and within determined conditions.
Allah Almighty knows best.
Papa Bear asks:
Yep, quite a few:
The website http://divestterror.org/
is proposing a campaign to target 401(k) retirement plans, pension plans, and all stock investments generally, to disinvest from companies that do business with terror-supporting states.
The worst of the list include such names as Alcatel, Siemens, and Hyundai:
http://divestterror.org/dirtydozen.html
The public pension plans of many of the states of the U.S. are also invested in such companies, and we should urge our elected representatives to disinvest from those companies:
http://divestterror.org/report.html
Thanks to Steven L. for the divestterror.org link. This is good stuff and I recommend the book and everything else Frank Gafney does also. How about more ideas on a personal level, right now, today that we can do to have our own effect in the anti-jihad war?
If you turn down your thermostat, drive less, and fill your tires you can keep a few dollars out of jihadi hands and this in turn means fewer bullets or korans for the bad guys.
Why can they?
Because they work cheap. Most CEO's are globalists and have no love of country for the simple reason that this is merely sentimental and sappy.
What matters is quarterly profits; do you or don't you keep your shareholders happy?
If your strategic plan is tied up with nationalistic romance for love of country then, you will not be a CEO very long. You will be removed by the board -- unless you flat out own the company!
Global competition will destroy your company; but if you survive somehow, the global marketplace will reward you with profits.
The thinking among most CEO's is that islamaphobia stiffles business; that hurts revenues; that impacts profits -- so does the old model "loyalty to any one country."
Let the wing-nuts worry about jihad; Bushes Saudi ties; its all nut-case conspiracy theories anyway, they will tell you -- and has nothing to do with business.
I think the topic here, the thrust of Hugh's article, is to think of what we individuals can do to fight against the jihad. His first point about oil money fueling the renewal of the jihad is very important. To counter this, we can all make our own little spending decisions to promote or oppose those we agree with or disagree with just as the enemy attempts to do with its boycotts.
Conspiracy theories about the Bush family and anti business babble are not only unproductive and divisive (if you have something real, get it out or get off the pot) but off topic. If only you could drive your car or heat your house with all that hot air.
So, how about turning the gas down on your hot water heater to the point where it is hot enough for a good shower and not so hot that it can scald you or it wastes energy every minute by heating you tank more than necessary. And turn it lower if you go on vacation.
Papabear,
Another general idea is to challenge the imposition of Sharia Law, for example:
Ban the Veil (and all public mask wearing)
"The love of money is greater than the love for one's nation."
Well said.
I'm not into conspiracy theories. But you have to be a complete moron not to know the obvious - that big business buys what it wants from politicians in Washington - via lobbying and contributions. These things need to be outlawed. Our politicians and their votes should NOT be for sale.
What frustrates me is the question - WHEN will posters stop asking WHY our government is not doing anything regarding the ME and start admitting that they are being bought and controlled by those who want globalization - it's all about profit for these folks. Buckley is RIGHT. They are NOT patriotic OR nationalist and they couldn't give a rat's patoot about the ordinary American worker. They'll send the jobs wherever it is cheaper to line their pockets and they don't really care if Joe Bloggs is put out of work.
Money talks......and you know the rest.
This is in response to a comment posted that Hugh should mail this in to Pelosi in hopes this article would snap her out of it.
Nothing short of a very major attack on our soil again will snap any of the people like her "out of it",and one would have to wonder even then.
The only things on the politicians minds are who will keep power ,how they can gain more power, what will they have to do to get it.They care of nothing else.
Of course ,yes there are some who see which way the winds are blowing, but are they willing to go all the way so to speak to expose islam for what it is to the blind?
We,the people have been sold down the river a long time ago.Mr. and Mrs. politicians only care what you and i think a couple of times a year.Have you ever noticed the basic foundations that they campaign on have been the same, for how long?they have no intrest in solving these problems either because they have no clue how to or are too afraid of losing "popularity" that which appears to beat out inteligence and common sense and people just keep re-electing them anyway.
Take obama for instance, before he even learned the ropes for rep. they ,even the presws bill him as the next and first black pres.. Who is this guy?Nobody knows what he is for or against because he hasn't played the game long enough.I guess just the fact that he would be the first black pres. is enough.
My point is that if you and i are waiting for these fools to wake up we will be waiting till it's too late. The people are the only ones to change things and we can do it.If bombs and body bags don't work nothing will.
If politicians get thier way we will end up like all the other muslim infected nations and states. They will cede to them and cede to them until it's all gone....poof.....no more.
Just read about where all the killings and kidnappings occur. The people do not fight they say nothing and islam knocks them off one by one forcing the weak to sell thier souls to the devil himself. They are dieing and they do it like slaves without a fight while thier gov. cede to the zombie horde.Fight free, die free do not fear islam islam is nothing but mere weak minded individuals they couldn't think for themselves if they had to.
No ,if bombs do not wake up the people,if body bags being filled with the bodies of innocent people do not wake up the people nothing will.
We need demonstrations in the streets, serious hardcore demonstrations.Perhaps protesters marching day and night in front of cair's offices demanding them to condemn terrorism and stop supporting it.
Islam if given enough rope will hang itself and without the mainstream media it would be nothing.
But thats a whole different subject, but cancelling your prescriptions to thier one sided printing and sending a letter explaining why would be a wake up call to them as well. You could even go as far to contact thier advertisers to say that you will not subscribe to the paper or mag. or whatever and that you won't be buying thier stuff either for being thier support mechanism.
Maybe even demanding things like the politicians pay for thier own security and the like if things are so hunky dory and only a small percent of islam is the problem.
These people need to remember who is in charge and if you are like me then it certainly isn't now nor will ever be islam
If we Infidels are going to have an effect, we're going to have to put our foot up some butts in Washington.
Otherwise, complainers should just shut up and take whatever Washington dishes out.
If all of the big thinkers here would just actually do something, like turn your thermostat down, instead of or even in addition to whining about globalization, the Bush family or Nazi Pelosi, maybe we could have an impact.
If we use less oil we reduce the ability of the Saudis to pay the bribes. If we buy American products we limit the ability of corporations to ignore national needs.
Does anyone here have a flex fuel vehicle (hopefully American made) and can you find E-85 fuel?
I have asked myself this question over and over and maybe Hugh,Spencer or some other top brass in JW could answer it for me.
I know that over the course of time you have probably laid out the answers to this question so forgive me if i missed them or even misunderstood them.It is really a very simple question But here it is.
What is it exactly that islam is supposed to be the answer for?
Now this is me here so of course i cannot go without more blabbering so forgive me.
But are they saying they could solve all the worlds economic woes?
Isn't islam the biggest reciever of international aid?
Will islam solve the religion difference?
Doesn't islam have a war going on with islam?
Will islam be the answer for crimes against humanity?
Isn't islam the worst ever when it comes to oh lets say hacking people up,raping women, sexually assaulting children, brainwashing children to hate and murder, bigotry, hipocracy? I am sure i left several out.
What exactly is it that islam is the answer for?
What is it exactly that the hiearchy say, that is upheld by the mindless zombie, that is the answers through islam for the worlds woes.
Maybe the answer is a pact suicide and islam is gone from the face of the earth forever.
If all of the big thinkers here would just actually do something, like turn your thermostat down, instead of or even in addition to whining about globalization, the Bush family or Nazi Pelosi, maybe we could have an impact.
Papa Bear, I installed a geo-thermal heating/cooling system and I drive fuel-efficient cars.
Now can I complain about globalization and lobbyists?
:o)
What is it exactly that islam is supposed to be the answer for?
Well, if their countries - which they strive to escape - are any indication of what Islam gives the world - I guess it's the answer for mud houses, barbaric behaviour and sandal salesmen.
Seriously, it's a works-based religion designed to control populations of people. In fact all works-based relgions are designed the same way. A few hold special positions and tell the rest that they must have the few do their thinking for them.
These people are brainwashed from birth. No wonder they believe that they must conquer everyone that isn't what they are. That's the garbage they get preached to them on a regular basis via their mosques and nutty political leaders.
P.S. I have plastic on my insullated windows, I keep my thermostat at 60 night and 65 day, I layer my clothing, I wash my laundry in cold water and I even put foam plug insullators in my outlets. I take warm showers and I try to make all my driving trips at once, avoiding any unnecessary trips. I do NOT buy my gas from Citgo.
Good going Goobs. If we consider ourselves warriors, and we are in a war, then I want my battle vehicle to be fuel efficient.
Slightly Off Topic
CNN broadcast an advertisement for the CBC (that's the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation -- a public broadcaster, funded by Canadian taxpayers) about a so-called comedy entitled, "Little Mosque on the Prairie." CNN ran snippets from the program.
All I can say is -- this is Da'wa, and I find it embarrassing. It's non-stop propaganda, designed to present Muslims as if they're angels who can do no wrong (remote_control -- this is yet another example of Gnosticism -- angels vs demons -- the Manichean split), Muslims are always discriminated against by Evil Whites making false accusations (particularly police officers and airport security guards). From the clips, the program hits on every single CAIR propaganda theme -- from "All Islam is innocent;" "We're all being falsely accused by the Bad, racist White people -- like the police and airport security people"; etc.
The one Muslim (there's only one Muslim -- the cast, I guess is non-Muslim) who wrote the script is only concerned about one thing -- and can anyone guess what that is? Ah, yes, it's not to offend the Muslim religious community. Never mind falsely accusing whites of "bigotry" and "racism" at every turn -- no, of course, that's not a problem, nor I'm sure in the Muslim's world-view should making false accusations against innocent whites be anyone's concern at all -- after all, as any CAIR spokesperson will tell you, only Muslims can be victims of racism.
Anyway, rank hypocrisy, once again. And unfortunately, since in Canada there is NO separation of Church from State -- we cannot complain about how are tax dollars are squandered. To think that we have to pay these people for spreading Da'wa is quite incredible!
Forgot to note, Islam is the preferred religion at the CBC (to the exclusion of all others). It receives preferential treatment; it's being constantly promoted (i could write a book).
"Islam is the preferred religion at the CBC (to the exclusion of all others). It receives preferential treatment; it's being constantly promoted (i could write a book).

Hey J.S. Do me a favor, can you please get the names of the corporation/owners of the television stations in Canada?
It would be interesting to see if any of the owners own American stations.
"you have to be a complete moron not to know the obvious - that big business buys what it wants from politicians in Washington"
There is a big difference between a politician who sells his influence to a tobacco lobbyist, and a politician who would sell his influence to actual dangerous enemies of the USA.
While there are many politicians in various stages of moral corruption (and there are degrees to this, despite the starkly Puritanical vision of some among us), I think an American person's enculturation in his America demonstrates a profound and, frankly, diseased detachment from his own nation's organic health to so lightly and easily condemn a vast cadre of American politicians as actually capable of selling their influence to people whom those politicians know -- as we Jihad Watchers know -- to be our mortal enemies.
If Muslim money is in fact influencing our politicians, it is not because those politicians (at least not the vast majority of them) don't care that the Muslims are, in fact, our mortal enemy; it's because those politicians, in fact, don't know. And why don't they know? The answer to that question is not money: it's culture: specifically, the current culture of PC Multiculturalism.
And what helps to keep those politicians from coming to learn what they don't know, to go against the grain of the dominant mainstream givens that inoculate Islam and the vast majority of "moderate" Muslims positively (by sugarcoating them as a "world religion") and negatively (by intimidating scrutiny with charges of "bigotry" and "Islamophobia")? It's not, in this case, principally money: it's mainly culture: specifically, the current culture of PC Multiculturalism.
Conspiracy theories about the Bush family and anti business babble are not only unproductive and divisive (if you have something real, get it out or get off the pot) but off topic. If only you could drive your car or heat your house with all that hot air.
I don't own a car so is it OK if I point out that there are many fronts we must fight on. Stating and re-stating the [apparently not for everyone] obvious, meaning that the Bush administration is Sowdi-owned lock stock and barrel is but one small cog in the awareness-raising effort. There are no more Democrats and Republicans. There are Americans and then there are selfhaters ["left"] and sellouts ["right"]. Too bad that only the latter two control media education and politics.
I do not own a car :-) so I have the right to speak up.
The CBC is owned by the Canadian public -- it has a mandate from Parliament (it's not supposed to be a government propaganda machine).
There's another affiliate (just as bad as the CBC), NewsWorld -- a 24 all hours news station (something like CNN, only more liberal). Al Gore, got that, yeah, Al Gore wanted to pick up the programming from NewsWorld and run it on his leftist tv station (I don't know if that deal ever went through -- have to check). But I believe Gore's little adventure into television was a flop (again, have to check).
Then there's CTV (I've no idea who owns it, they're actually not bad -- middle of the road, I'd say).
So people, what are we actually going to do? When the jihad is at your front door are you going to say, "Well it's not my fault, the media is biased and the politicians sold us out and the corporations only care about money.?" We are preaching to the choir here. When we speak of action we talk of pie in the sky massive demonstrations. You don't need a car to join the economic war.
Here is an idea. Write to Frank Wu, the Dean of Wayne State University Law School and tell him not to hire Waddie Said for the WSU faculty.
Here is some background.
http://www.standwithus.com/news_post.asp?NPI=1029
Waddie Said is the son of the late fake Palestinian Edward Said. Waddie was part of the defense team for Sami al Arian and is unqualified for a position as a law professor on academic grounds and also as an Islamist supporter and appologist.
Goobs,
I am not into conspiracy theories either. I did find out that NewsWorld International is owned by Vivendi !! Yes, French...hmmmm...that figures...
some time ago there was a CBC radio report about the world-wide control of water by -- wait for it -- yeah, a French Firm (!!) Is that shocking or what? (Seriously, this French firm owns gazillion amounts of water around the world -- lots of water ownership in Africa, then SELLS the water for incredible profits...The radio report was done by the one CBC radio journalist I like -- that's Bob Cardi -- anyway, everyone tends to think of BAD corporations -- rapacious, greedy, etc., and associates it with Americans, but the reality is that there are many, many other international corporations, like some French ones, which aren't so savory either.
Anyway, I guess one could submit satiric, subversive video to Al Gore's (or is it Ali Gore?) "television" station. a little agit-prop...
There are three things that amount to the equivalent of December 7, 1941...
1)...OPEC oil revenues...
2) the tens of millions of Muslims permitted...to enter and settle and make themselves at home in Infidel countries...
3) the exploitation by Muslims of Western advances in technology...
...................
Isn't it worth noting how parasitic all these elements are?
Oil (1) would be useful only for setting on fire and lobbing at your enemies (even this was a Byzantine development) if the West hadn't experienced an industrial revolution. Of course, it was the invention of automobiles more than any other thing which fuels our thirst for oil.
The same is true of technology (3). In most cases, it is not just that Muslims did not invent these tecnologies. Unlike many other "third world" countries, they also do not manufacture these items, do not maintain networks, do not keep technology in repair. There are exceptions, but this is the norm. They mostly serve as consumers of technology, and in many cases the only "innovation" involved is in terrorist applications, such as using vehicles as car bombs or cell phones as detonators.
Even with massive oil reserves in so many Muslim nations (2), life is often poor there and lacks opportunity for many citizens. Hence immigration to the West in such massive numbers.
While some Muslims do appreciate the increased opportunity and helping hands in Western nations, even here it is often coupled with a desire to see Islam become dominant and see Sharia implemented. That this would "kill the golden goose" is something that many Muslims seem completely oblivious to.
We see what happens when a nation imposes Sharia law. Firstly, moderate and non-Muslims flee if they can. Those who remain are greatly hampered, by draconian laws and violent oppression. How long would the West remain prosperous under Sharia? Probably for a generation or two at best.
It is like the Communists--there is the idea that Communism would have been a paradise if only it had been properly implemented, or if it hadn't been hampered in spreading it's benefits by enemies. That the fault could lie with the philosophy itself seems inconcievable. It is the same with Islam.
And, of course, many Muslims are not even semi-productive. Many are content to live on the dole (considered Jizya) and use the money to directly finance Jihad, often against their own generous host country.
So, we are unwittingly funding our own destruction. It's sobering, but it does mean we can ultimately have a measure of control if we change our policies.
From above:
During the Cold War, those who were regarded as agents of the Soviet Union were tracked. Some were arrested. Some lost their jobs. Some were punished for membership in the Communist Party, by the government or, informally, by fellow citizens unwilling to tolerate such an allegiance.
.................
This is true. It is also true that this has been considered discredited by many, perhaps most Americans. When I was growing up (in a very "Liberal" household) "McCarthyism" was regarded much like the Gulag. I never had any sense that there might have been cause for even the slightest actual concern--it was just considered a "witch-hunt". I was surprised when, years later, I discovered that along with the mostly harmless mild left-leaning writers and such who got caught up in the hearings, that there were some genuine Communists that genuinely were dangerous.
But it is the "witch-hunt" idea that prevails. There is such an aversion to single out *any* creed, no matter how harmful, and probably even a greater aversion to single out a "religion".
Of course, it's a good thing that we as a society are wary of scape-goating people. But there is an idea that all ways of life are equal in value and equally positive. This is what we're up against in getting people to take a good hard look at Islam and what it really means.
A great idea for action is to start a small Anti-Jihad Militia and let your local media know that you're doing it. Take a few pics. Get on a local new broadcast. That's just sensational enough that it might get some airplay. Letting the American people see their neighbors in fatigues talking about the imminent threat of jihad ought to wake some people up.
There are two Anti-Jihad Militia chapters in operation right now.

Yeah, I was thinking of taking some pics in and around -- illustrating the fact that we've been invaded (complete with the black burkas, hijabs, etc)...with the sub-title: "Yo, is this Cairo?" and "No, it's -- fill in the blank..(any city in North America)."
Papa Bear, I installed a geo-thermal heating/cooling system and I drive fuel-efficient cars.
Now can I complain about globalization and lobbyists?
Posted by: The Goobs
As Uncle Remus said, in regard to B'rer Foxes' scheming: "The problem with brains is that other folks has got 'em too." It's the same with corporate globalist lobbyists; lots of other folks have lobbyists, too. Farmers, veterans, teachers and the education establishment, labor unions, virtually every ethnic group, church groups, abortion supporters, lawyers, the welfare establishment, and perhaps most notoriously, retirees and environmentalists, and on and on -- this is by no means a complete list -- they all have their lobbyists.
So another thing we can do is to make some of these groups more aware of the islamic threat to the U.S., so that they would make that awareness part of their own lobbying efforts. Some likely allies would be: veterans, labor unions, retirees, some church groups, and some ethnic groups.
In regard to de-funding Islamia, we can encourage the public not to buy goods made in islamic countries. Unfortunately, much of the American public, being products of the American education system, are sadly deficient in their knowledge of geography and history, and would not be able to find, say, Venezuela on a map, much less know if it were islamic or not.
So one would need to come up with a list of countries, with 3 categories: 1st - Preferable - basically the U.S. and Canada; 2nd -- Acceptable -- the non-islamic countries (Japan, Australia, Ireland, Poland, Nicaragua, to name a few, and 3rd -- Not Acceptable -- the islamic countries plus a few rogue regimes like North Korea and Cuba. Of course, the list need not mention islam specifically; it would be presented as an anti-terrorism measure.
Millions of copies could be printed and given to friendly organizations -- like labor unions, veterans' groups, and church groups.
Huge asks:
One word -- LiberalismOur ascendant national religion of Liberalism forbids us from making discriminating judgments. This insane and suicidal moral code is Islam's sword and shield, which it uses for every attack, and hides behind for defense.
To defend against jihad in America the Liberal religion must first be crippled. Defeating Islam is no difficult task, absent Liberalism, but defeating Liberalism is no simple matter. And yet Liberalism is doomed. It's going down because it can't survive in the real world, where a robust ability to accurately discriminate between friend and foe means the difference between life and death.
The question is -- how do we throw off our Liberal shackles before they drag us all down to our doom?
The topic is: Infidels can have an effect
Hugh says that CAIR can "think it can get away with the kinds of things it does?" Why? His answer is ..."Because it can. And it will, until enough people, ...
Enough people. Muslims are together in this, we seem to be "Bowling Alone." What will it take to go public with...Hey, my name is not Infidel, my name is Anna. And I have a few thoughts I would like to share.
We are so undercover with the internet. How can we go beyond talking to ourselves only and make an impact?
Not everyone will know the significance of December 7, 1941, but if someone tells me there will be a meeting of kindred spirits at the local Starbucks, I know we've got it made! Am I the only one?
It needs to be acceptable to discuss these matters in person and in public. Why? "Quote again, ..."Because it can."
Let's do it?
"Or not, as the case may be."
Print out chapter 9 of the koran and put it where others can pick it up. Not just your "favorite" verses but the whole chapter so it can't be said that it is "out of context."
If you are going to put it in books at the library don't just put it in the koran. Put it in the best sellers, too. Especially the ones that liberals read. HA!
According to the responses at this HAVE YOUR SAY article, the majority of the UK have had enough. Is anyone listening?
On BBC4 Any Questions this week Niegle F. was discussing this and when he said people wanted immigration stopped the audience did not clap like they often do when in agreement and an audience member said "Rubbish" to him. The show was from Newcastle, I thought they would be in agreement with Niegle.
Any polls out there lately of the majority opinions of people on the street?

Post a list of all U.S. Senators and Congressmen who have take donations from terrorist apologists or their front groups. And a list companies that have terrorist apologists as principles, major stockholders or who hire an inordinate number of immigrants from terrorist-sponsoring states. Even a list of companies which are majority owned by Saudis or sheiks from the UAE would be very helpful. There is no such list anywhere, and we need it NOW so the public can be informed.

Germany is ahead in this poll, realizing the threats.
A muslim "community leader" here called a press confrence in which he stated that plants whose oil is used for biofuels emit more carbon-dioxide in the atmosphere and large scale plantations should be banned. The MSM, being stupid, swallowed this drivel along with whatever was offered to them for refreshments. The said "community leader" -
1. Hails from a muslim ghetto in my city.
2. Is a bike mechanic.
3. Never finished school.
4. Has no agricultural experience whatever.
5. Does not comprehend English and Hindi. urdu is his language of choice.
But the gent says they emit more gases, the stupid media does not even ask how, sitting in his ghetto, he got the emission levels right.
Now I think that it is a very good point to start to have an effekt through what you consume. But the right information is scarce. How should I know that thsi Omar Ahmad was a former bord member of CAIR and said such a think? How should one know, that over 7 percent of Daimler-Chrysler is owned by a Kuwaiti Holding? (+2 percent of another arabian holding)
How should one know, that Dell Computer started to offer a preaching room (or praying room) for moslem employees? Or that Wall Mart wont want Christmas? (only for the employees, the customers should consume as usually)
I think that one should start to enlist all these companies. I have already a couple of them. The Links are articles that i gathered and that explain why these companies are on a dhimmi list - mostly in English and in German
http://myblog.de/parteigruendung/page/6111569/_h4_Dhimmiunternehmen_h4_
Armani is the number one only because it starts with A.
I would like to get some new links for my list.
"...Islam is the preferred religion at the CBC (to the exclusion of all others). It receives preferential treatment; it's being constantly promoted (i could write a book)."

I agree. It is so blatant.
One small thing we can all do is spread the word. I went to VistaPrint.com and got some cheap business cards printed up. I chose a nice patriotic Statue of Liberty design and had them printed with "Save Civilization. Defeat Jihad. Outlaw Sharia. www.jihadwatch.org." I leave these around here and there for others to pick up. I also have my Jihad Watch bumper sticker and t-shirt.
The Big Lie is spread through boldness and persistance, but the truth can be spread through the same methods.
Another subversive tactic I've seen done (it was done by radicals promoting a far-left website...) not that I'd recommend subversive activities, of course. But, the Left used stickers (the website address was on the stickers) and stuck them onto every dispenser of newspapers (what do you call them? you know, those auto vending machines for papers)...
"not that I'd recommend subversive activities, of course."
Some of the more radical Suffragettes in the Aughts sabotaged mailboxes with marmelade.
Oh, my g-d, "Suffragettes sabotaging mailboxes with marmelade" !!! That sounds sooo v-i-o-l-e-n-t!!! I'm sickened at the thought...I mean, marmelade...was it orange / apricot / peach? do you think the local Imam would approve??
We could use Jello made from pig gelatin for our new cause.
I like some of the ideas from Goobs and Papa Bear.
However, instead of just turning down the water heater consider replacing it with an on-demand heater the next time the need arises.
I'm sorry to hear Daimler-Chrysler is part owned by the Arabs. I like their products and have never had any real trouble with them.
Some of the other low-level subversive stuff sounds like fun.
