Now it is entirely possible that this group intends to exclude both Muslims and Jews from its charity by serving this soup, but consider two things: which group is more likely to need, and to take advantage of, charitable handouts in France, and which group is more likely to break out in "angry reactions" if it perceives it has been insulted?

PARIS - A top French judge ruled that an extreme-right group cannot serve pork soup to the needy, saying the charitable handouts aim to discriminate against Muslims and Jews who don't eat pork because of their faith.Judge Christian Vigouroux of the Council of State, the country's highest administrative body, said late Friday that such giveaways by the far-right group Solidarity of the French threaten public order.
His ruling approved a decision by Paris police to refuse permits to the group on the grounds that such handouts could spark angry reactions.
No Soup For You!
So the homeless of France should now starve to death in the middle of winter, so as to serve the interests of the PC Brigade who don't want to offend religious sensibilities. The last time I checked, France was still a free (albeit socialist bordering on communist) but nevertheless free society, where people still have the right to freedom of choice.
My goodness, what are we coming to when a top judge rules a charity cannot serve pork soup to the needy? Talk about reverse discrimination. And why? Because it might lead to riots? Riots over pork soup?
Oh yes, but this is France we are talking about. You can riot over anything in France - pork soup included. No doubt we would probably have seen another 10 000 cars being burned every night for the next month, had the judge not banned the pork soup.
Used to be "the needy" were happy to get anything for free. Now even charity is becoming politically correct !
I have no use for J. M. Le Pen and his racist and xenophobic ilk, but don't see where any organization that wants to feed the poor should be legisltated into providing meals that conform to the dietary restrictions of any denomination as such restrictions are a matter of choice.
What disgusts me is that Muslims will gladly accept charity from non-Muslims, and then turn around and kill them, saying that it is their duty to do so.
Let the Muslims feed their own poor.

Let them throw a tantrum over Pork Soup. It'll be another example of how absurd these people are. If you don't like the food that's being generously handed to you out of the kindness of someone else's heart and expense, you've no right to complain. Either be happy with the fact that you're receiving some help, or starve to death for all I care.
next time the french air traffic or ports workers go on strike, thousands of tourists from neigbouring contries shouldn't just take being stranded as part of the summer holiday experience -- they should threaten public disorder.

Regardless of Muslims or Jews or aliens from Mars, this issue is about individual and property rights. If i want to give something away, its my goddamn choice of what I plan to give out. Nobody is forced to take it from me. This is nothing but socialist madness, which of course includes multiculturalism and other nonsense.

It all sounds like soul food to me.
Ooh, Mother, you are making me hungry! We have an eatery in America called Panera Bread. In the springtime they have this fabulous soup called Spring Pea & Asparagus soup. And there is nothing that goes better with it than a Turkey Bravo sandwich that has Gouda cheese and, of course, a bunch of bacon on it.

Over here, dhimmi Pizza Hut management voluntarily pulled pork from its outlets. The "pepperoni pizza" is not made from pork but mutton. I asked the management at the Agra outlet if the meat was halal, but they refused to answer my question. They have a sign outside stating "Only mutton and chicken served here". JihadWatchers please take note and ask the management of Pizza Hut and Macdonald's if you are being served halal meat.
