JERUSALEM -- The Arabic satellite network Al Arabiya ordered its reporters to stop working in the Gaza Strip yesterday after the governing Palestinian Islamist party Hamas attacked the network for blasphemy.
The threats from Hamas against the network highlight the delicate balancing act faced by international Arab networks, which often come under fire from Western governments that accuse their coverage of inflaming tensions in places like Iraq and the Palestinian territories. The networks have come under attack from Arab governments as well; the Iraqi government has repeatedly suspended Al Jazeera after the network aired stories unfavorable to the Shi'ite-dominated government.
Al Arabiya drew the wrath of Hamas after airing a recording that quoted Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh saying that Hamas "will not accept conditional aid, even if it came from God."
Hamas officials told Al Arabiya not to air the quote, which reportedly came from a Palestinian Cabinet meeting. The Dubai-based network instead aired the quote along with a denial by a Hamas spokesman.
In response, the Palestinian government threatened to sue Arabiya. "It is a clear and deliberate defamation," government spokesman Ghazi Hamad said.
Al Arabiya's director of operations in Israel and the Palestinian territories, Nidal Hasan, said he had ordered the 42 employees in the station's Gaza bureau to stay home after receiving death threats from anonymous gunmen. "There are some people who might wrongly attack us," Hasan said.
Hasan has refused to apologize for airing the statement.
"We did nothing wrong," he said. "We did our jobs as we should, getting comments on the tape from both sides."
Palestine Press, a local news agency linked to a Fatah leader, Mohammed Dahlan, leaked the tape of what it said was a Jan. 10 Cabinet meeting. In a statement, the Fatah faction excoriated the Hamas government for attacking the network.
"Hamas has lost its balance by making such crazy threats against Al Arabiya and its employees in Gaza," the statement said, describing the threats as "reflecting the spirit of darkness against local, Arab, and international media organizations."
So, why don't they go after Ismail Haniyeh? He's the one who took God's name in vain.

They would be killing each other over who has the more correct beliefs. That is the nature of fanatics. They have abandoned reason and don't think that far ahead because they don't think at all. It's not reason that matters, but beliefs treated as if they are scientific fact. Someone once said, "hell is a place without reason". He must have been thinking of Islam or maybe Nazis or some belief-system gone wild. "Girls gone wild" is preferable to beliefs gone wild. However, Muslims condemn that as "immoral".
In one of Woody allen's movies (I forget which one) he and Dianne Keaton are walking along the street. The subject of Nazis comes up. Dianne says "Don't you think we should try to understand what motivates them, why they are Nazis"? Woody says: "No. I think it's a better idea to crush them". That's reality.
The truth is that there is no way one can reason with fanatical Muslims or Nazis. The way to bring them to reason is to crush them, completely destroy them by force. Reason will not work with fanatics. Fanatics don't stop until they alone are "king of the mountain". It's about "assertion", about power, not about justice or reason with them. They will come to reason after they are crushed. That's reality.

All Moslems believe that whatever they do is in the service of a divine cause. They can and do justification for the vilest and most horrendous acts in the writings that encapsulate their universe.
Hamas' god--Allah--would hardly offer aid with attached conditions to Moslems, as long as they do not diverge from his "path," as detailed in the instructions he--Allah--passed on to you-know-whom via some unearthly being or other (take your pick).

I just finished watching the DVD "death In Gaza" and after re-watching it to spot errors I believe James Miller was a willfull victim of a Hoax and sacrificed by the Hamas supporters.
I say this because I found it hard to believe that Gaza was such a dangerous place since Miller and other had free reign to film the Croc-U-Mentary and show the "Alleged" shootings at children by the IDF , plus Miller does absolutely nothing to stop child abuse when the Older-Hamas supports brag about how great it is to have a Thousand boys like Ahmed who will martyr themselves for the Palestinian cause.
One area of outright fraud is the Ambulance hoax made popular by PalleyWood Studios , Miller sets up his camera to show a boy being taken out of a ambulance and rushed into a building for care and surgery .
Not only do we see the typical victim almost fall off the gurney but the shooting actually help themselve get back in place , it's not until later that he's cued to start crying and yell how he can't stand the pain, except that nothing has changed from the point he was "Allegedly" wisked away after bullets to the lower spine and right leg .
First off , when the boy is moved to a table you can see many non-Medical people handling him while the rubber glove staff watch on, and when a man tries to remove a "Blood soaked" sheet from the gurney he spot the glaring error that the vinyl pads are dry and blood free so he covers the gurney surface again.
Then we have the fake blood or butchershop supply of red stuff , there isn't any dried blood on the boy and the wet blood doesn't look the right shade of red , and for a boy bleeding to death nobody cares and all you see is a Alleged IV saline bag connected and a nose insert for Oxygen .
Here's the real sleezy part , all we see is a small mob spreading their germs around the boys as he's alleged to be rushed to O.R. but we only see a door and then it fades to black with the text notice that Ahmed died 6 hours later , but Which Ahmed ? ...because the boy wrapped up for his trip to Paradise with to the virgins IS NOT
the same face of the Ahmed at the Hospital that had a large black mole on his chin to the left.
The DVD provides evidence that the Hamas friendly female TELLS James Miller to go out in the dark with a white-flag while we hear bangs from the APC unit , Miller only lights up the flag and night-visions rely on moonlight because they are sensitive , he and 2 other approach the APC from behind as proven in a diagram and crouch down while the camera man assumes a position that a RPG user would for a shoulder mounted firing.
Finally , the special features section boasts about being objective and not wanting to take side , but oddly , the Israeli children never get filmed because Miller was Murdered by Israel.
Even though all the news reports list Miller as being dead at the Hospital almost 7 hours after being hit by someone shooting at him, the voice overlay for the camera that filmed Miller falling down makes the overt claim that they caught the Murder on film as we hear a pop and then a body falls down which is said to be Miller.
These types of Croc-U-Mentary DVD end up on Western TV and are never questioned , and now I see another Conspiracy Theory case where Miller's followers want "The Truth" about his Murder.
The truth is that Hamas pulled a scam , or Miller was part of the scam and it went seriously wrong when the Palestinian send Miller out at night dressed like a military person with helmets and vests while taunting a APC with the standard "Fake" white flag used by suicide bombers .
Hamas held a martyrs parade and had Millers photo on posters as if they believe he died for THEIR cause , and Miller's grieving wife doesn't get it that if she's so upset at her kids losing their Dad that she shouldn't have chose to marry someone in a dangerous job and who left home for months at a time.
Where's Dr.Phil to explain to her that she killed their Dad by picking a man to have babies with that did high-risk work and will no doubt
die one day in a combat zone.

Haniyeh is trying to cover his blasphemous ass! Almost all monotheistic religions (Judaism, Christianity, Sikhism) hold that all aid ultimately is a blessing from God and all aid from God IS conditional. "If you keep my Commandments, I your Lord will bless..."
If Islam does not recogniize this, it is idolatry! So who, Mr Haniyeh, are the mushrikin?

Palestinian sources in the Strip reported of a huge explosion at the offices of the al-Arabiya television station in Gaza City.
According to the reports, two people were injured and the building was badly damaged in the blast. (Ali Waked)
