NUMEROUS Sydney buildings, including the Lucas Heights nuclear reactor and others housing US companies, were terrorist targets for illegally-bought Australian rocket launchers.The Saturday Daily Telegraph can reveal alleged terrorists who obtained five of the launchers – believed to have been stolen from the Australian army – discussed using them on the US targets.
One of the targets was a high-rise building near Hyde Park which is the base for American Express.
Another was the nuclear reactor at Lucas Heights, NSW Assistant Police Commissioner Nick Kaldas said today.
Yesterday, a 28-year-old unemployed Leumeah man was in Central Local Court, charged with illegally obtaining and selling seven of the stolen rocket launchers.
Taha Abdul-Rahman was arrested in his Eliza Way home early yesterday following a joint investigation by NSW Police, Australian Federal Police and ASIO.
He was charged with two counts of dishonestly receiving stolen Commonwealth property, seven counts of possessing a prohibited weapon, seven of selling a prohibited weapon to an unauthorised person and one of possessing ammunition without a licence or permit.

This story is a sequel to the arrests that were made in Melbourne and Sydney last year. It sounds to me like the police investigating this man wanted to make sure that they were able to pin the crime onto him. It should be noted that the plot came undone because a drug overlord spilled the beans in an attempt to get immunity for his own crimes.

Just imagine, all those Australians looking at muslims as if they might be wearing a bomb belt or any other kind of explosive. The nerve of them....why oh why would any kafir think that a muslim might want to explode in the middle of a crowd? We just thought it up one day, out of the blue.

I can barely remember Three Mile Island and the secrecy about radiation emissions from that, and wonder what, besides covering their own butts, our community planners and leaders would do if one of our nuclear power plants came under attack by terrorists? It's not like they teach "duck and cover" in schools anymore, or still have any civil defense supplies in the basement. That "shelter in place" policy seems like they're just iving us all the finger.
Just hope they target the nuclear reactor. That way they'll blow up some buildings with very few people in them and then get arrested/killed.
It's a reactor for producing radioisotopes for medicine and industry and for research and for various things such as doping silicon. Not for power generation, and hence is small.
There's 15 pounds or uranium in the reactor. Compare that with the 100 tonnes of uranium in a Three Mile Island reactor (and of course there's more than one reactor in Three Mile Island)...
I think the Muslims in this country are learning that they cannot dish up the same crap to us as their compatriots in other countries do.
Brits/Canadians/Americans should take note.
