Jordan seeks nuclear power for peaceful means

Jordan jumps on the nuclear bandwagon. After all, everybody's doing it. From AFP, with thanks to Sr. Soph:

JERUSALEM - Jordan wants to develop nuclear power for peaceful means, King Abdullah II said in an interview with Israel’s Haaretz daily published on Friday.

‘The Egyptians are looking for a nuclear program. The GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) are looking at one, and we are actually looking at nuclear power for peaceful and energy purposes. We’ve been discussing it with the West,’ he said.

‘I personally believe that any country that has a nuclear program should conform to international regulations and should have international regulatory bodies that check to make sure that any nuclear program moves in the right direction,’ he told the liberal daily.

‘The rules have changed on the nuclear subject throughout the whole region. Where I think Jordan was saying, ‘we’d like to have a nuclear-free zone in the area,’ after this summer, everybody’s going for nuclear programs,’ the Jordanian king said.

Oh for pete's sake-these cesspoolian countries are just like 5 year olds-"I want the same toy Johnny has". WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

And having these countries go nuclear for ANY purpose is like giving a 5 year old a machine gun.

Good grief, there should be an embargo on any type of nuclear power plant help to any Muslim country, period.

I am so sick and tired of these muslim pigs bull---t me with their crap about "peaceful purposes." Nothing in Islam is for "peaceful purposes." If they are allowed to go forward with this nuclear project, I sincerely hope they Chernobyl themselves through their own Islamic, technologically-retarded incompetence!

They want nuclear?

We should give 'em nuclear.

Not the way they want or expect it.

Jordan is "Palestinian" state No. 1 - It's got more "Palestinians" than "Jordanians" in there. Giving them nuclear to play with--not a good idea.

The kinglet is keeping the lid on pretty well . . . but . . . ?

Who's next? Hamas? They need nuclear like a hole in the head. Oh, I guess for power in Gaza. That makes sense.

Hezbollah? They don't need us, they'll get it from Iran. They can launch from Lebanon, see? Then Iran isn't responsible. An remember all those dolls and teddy bears in the rubble in Lebanon? Nobody wants to see that again!

"They can launch from Lebanon, see? "

....Don't worry, there are UN peacekeepers there to protect you.....or so they say.....

Truly a comedy of fools.

(Quick, put it on CBC TV as a sit com)

"5-year olds" with guns? No, more like "monkeys with guns". Stone-age civilizations, especially those sitting on top of large oil reserves (or neighbors/buddies with those that are), have no need for nuclear energy. The responsibility of keeping the place clean and safely disposing of the waste is far above their abilities.

Of course, if you have an ulterior motive for "disposing" of the waste in another way, say, enriching it, manufacturing a plutonium pit, and assembling it into a weapon so you can "dispose" of it in another country...... nah, what am I thinking...

How many of us would want to be a citizen of Israel??...With this constant whining and moaning from it's bordering Islamic states stating they want nuclear capabilities for "peaceful" purposes??....My guess is not many of us!.....Don't trust Jordan...Don't trust Egypt....(were they not the original countries that sparked the 1948, 1967, and 1973 wars?)......Don't trust any of them!....

They should the proper word for this foolishness-the ummah wants nukes for "pieceful purposes" in an effort to blast the infidel world to pieces.

Please note the word 'looking' in this quote:

‘The Egyptians are looking for a nuclear program. The GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) are looking at one, and we are actually looking at nuclear power for peaceful and energy purposes. We’ve been discussing it with the West,’ he said.

These words (looking, discussing) show the middle eastern countries will be shopping for a nuclear program. They won't build or maintain a program for themselves. They can't. They will have to buy the technology, construction contracts, equipment, procedures, documentation, uranium and so on from Western, Russian or Chinese sources. North Korea would be last choice and derivative of the Chinese program anyway. I hope India has better sense too.

We need to have some statements made about complicity in spreading nuclear technology to the middle east. The statements should be promises, not threats and should be aimed at sellers both friend and otherwise.

Jordan, the Arab Kingdom of Jordan, formerly the Emirate of Transjordan, and before that, territory formerly part of the Ottoman Empire that included the entire trans-Jordanian part of historic Palestine, and therefore part of the territory that was originally intended, by the Mandates Commission of the League of Nations, to be included in the Mandate for Palestine (the Mandate that had as its sole purpose the establishment of a Jewish National Home), exists on Jizyah.

That is, it exists on economic favors -- outright aid, and special dispensations, such as Most Favored Naton Status -- given it by the United States. These favors are not received with gratitude but rather as due, and Jordan's population has consistently shown itself, in polls, to be virulently hostile to the United States. And this aid is given as if it were Jordan's due, and never to be tampered with. The attitudes, then, of both donor and recipient are the classic attitudes of the Jizyah, that "protection" money given by the "protected people" to their Muslim masters.

It is absurd for Jordan even to dare to mention that it might want "nuclear powere for peaceful purposes." No Muslim state can be allowed to begin work on nuclear projects; no Muslim state currently well along on nuclear projects can be permitted to continue. As for Pakistan, the one Muslim state that, through theft by A. Q. Khan and a program of state deception, was permitted -- through Western negligence -- to acquire such weapons -- this is now a country that alone is causing Western nightmares. What will happen to those weapons? Who will control them in the case of a different regime, or no regime at all? What group might be aided by members or ex-members of the Pakistani government (Hamid Gul comes swimmingly to mind)? Pakistan must be prevented from perfecting its weapons-delivery systems, and must be threatened with complete economic collapse, and possibly physical destruction, if those weapons are not put in Western hands. The Pakistani masses need not know, but the Western governments must know, that those weapons are not avaialable for Pakistani or other Muslim use.

As for Jordan, even for talking in this way, it needs to be punished. The Administration will not do it. But Congress can end all aid to Jordan, and end as well that program to encourage textile factories which turn out to be factories in which Jordanian Arabs simply exploit non-Arab workers as wage-slaves with their wages often withheld -- a situation that has been investigated by outsiders who declare that the exploitation of workers (non-Arabs) by owners (Arabs) have been the "worst" they have seen anywhere in the world. For more on that, look in the JW archives or google more widely.

No, Jordan needs now to be read the riot act and to suffer the consequences even of daring to suggest it has a "right" -- knowing what we all know about Islam and Muslim views of Infidels as inculcated by Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira -- to "nuclear energy" for -- "peaceful purposes."

No laughs. Just quiet fury, and determination to end the Jizyah to Jordan and Egypt and to redimension relations with the funder of the ideological Jihad all over the world, in both Dar al-Islam and Dar al-Harb, the most dangerous and malevolent Sunni enemy of Infidels -- Saudi Arabia.

I am reading "Sword of the Profit.." By Trifkovic

Some of the most chilling statements about the world of Islam were about the effects on the individuals mindset. That under Islamic rule people were so NON-productive.

In example pg. 206
According to the World Bank, the total exports of the Arab countries (other than fossil fuels) amount to less than those of Finland, a country of 5 million inhabitants. There are at least 50 Arabs to each Finn.

That's OK-they have Islam and when you have Islam
you have all that you will ever need.

That cesspoolia remains mired in the Third World is purely coincidental.

yep.... Saudi Arabia has the annual GDP of Tennessee. Think about it. Why are we dorking around with these places?

I read this as Jordan openly petitioning America to blow the nuclear flame at Iran before September or Jordan will join Saudi Arabia and Egypt in having nuclear bombs to guard against Iran.

Pelosi and Kennedy had better be listening as the Judeans do not appear to have the Olmert testicle fortitude to knock out Iran that Netanyahu does, so it is America the Arabs are leaning on to expect America to light up in Global Strike the sands of Iran.
Now Cheney laments there are no hard targets for the military to hit, so the White House and Pentagon are in a hard place because the American voter abandoned our leadership and military.

Jordan though is sending a public message as they know they will die in anarchy as Iran's influence increases.
Iran's nuclear flame must be blown out with a nuclear match strike. Discerning Kings can not be all wrong.

Lame Cherry... I remember you mentioning you're trying to get published. So am I... I'd like to compare notes with you if you're so inclined. You can reach me at a_plague_on_both_houses@hotmail.com if you'd like.

The only real Nuclear Energy the Middle East will recieve may come in the shape of Mushrooms

Peaceful, eh? If these middle eastern countries really want power, why don't they go solar? They have plenty of sunlight.

Simple & Realistic Solutions

The following are simple and realistic solutions to the Mid-East problems:

1) Jordan is a fictitious country. Why? The world is paying the price of Saudi tribal hegemonic bullying, rather than have a democracy they forced a tribal theocracy on the Arabian Peninsula. They fought they Hashemites for complete dominancy of Arabia following Muhammad’s original example of house cleaning. The Hashemites had lived in the Western part of Arabia for centuries and they controlled Mecca, while the Saudis lived in the eastern part of Arabia. The Saudis’ illegally forced the Hashemites to leave their homeland.

2) The British as a result were now stuck with some way having to compensate their Arab ally from World War 1 so they rewarded the Hashemites with some land to call their own. So they British illegally split of their Mandated land of Palestine (which was granted to them by League of Nations) and gave 75% of that land to the Hashemites. But the British didn’t stop there; they also gave the Hashemites Iraq! Now three quarters of Palestine and 100% of Iraq was given to an Arabian tribe because another Arabian tribe kicked them out of Arabia! The Hashemites were eventually overthrown in Iraq and fled; all they had left was eastern Palestine. So in the end these two warring Arabian tribes each made up their own phony kingdoms at the expense of the human rights of the majority of indigenous people who were neither Hashemites nor Saudis!

3) The British who originally promised the Jews Palestine now reneged and in 1938 reversed their policy of allowing a Jewish State to exist in Palestine. The true reason was now that they gave away the majority of Palestine to the Hashemites, they couldn’t give the Jews 25% of Palestine because they also promised the Arabs part of Palestine for an Arab state. This set up Jewish hostility against the British because the Jewish people were betrayed by the English who accommodated the Hashemites with 75% of Palestine. And of course this was all the fault of the greedy Saudis!

4) After World War 2 and because of the recent Holocaust of the European Jewish civilization (Yes—it really happened), the Jews were in no mood for forgiving the British. That’s why the Jews fought and killed British soldiers in Palestine! When the British had enough, they left Palestine (well what was left of it—25%) and now cowardly left their Mandated responsibility up to the newly formed United Nations. The U.N. rather than doing the right thing and sponsoring reconciliatory peace talks between the Hashemites and the Saudis with the goal of seeing the Hashemites repatriated back to Arabia. The U.N. recognized Jordan as a legal nation thus Palestine was now only recognized by it’s shrunken borders due to the illegal land grab by the Hashemites. So now that Palestine was only a small strip of territory, the U.N. still needed to promise the Jews and the Arabs a separate country of their own. So the U.N. formed unworkable borders making 6 cantons that crisscrossed over each other creating an absurd pattern of 3 sections for Jews and 3 sections for Arabs. But in reality this could not create 2 separate nations; it was an unworkable formula!

5) The Jews accepted this arrangement because for them this was either a take it or leave it proposition. The Jews were between a rock and a hard place so they accepted the U.N.’s offer in the hope that if the Arabs accepted it as well that the 2 parties could rework the borders for themselves. If the Arabs had initially accepted this offer, no doubt the Jews would have tried to evenly swap land with the Arabs without the aid of the U.N. in order to create 2 sensibly configured nations!

6) But the Arabs absolutely outright rejected the plan! They like the Saudis chose to fight rather than to negotiate and just as the Saudis threw the Hashemites out of Arabia; the Arabs fought to drive the Jews out to the Mediterranean Sea! Our problems today are based on: the Saudi and Hashemite civil war, the British illegally giving 75% of Palestine to the Hashemites and the Arabs not ever willing to accept any Jewish State!

7) The reason why the British are still bitter and it can be seen through its government subsidized BBC media is due to the Jews killing the British! The English hate that the Jews gave them a bitter fight but the entire fault lies with the British. They had no right in giving an Arabian tribe any part of Palestine. If the British hadn’t given the Hashemites title to Palestinian land then it would have been far easier to split up Palestine into 2 viable countries, one for the Jews and one for the Arabs. But because the British did what they did and denied the Jews a homeland (including enforcing a restriction of Jewish immigration); the Jews had no other recourse than to engage the British militarily!

8) The simple and realistic solutions rely on the British making amends by apologizing to the Jewish people for its act of stabbing the Jews in the back! The British need to spearhead a U.N. sponsored reconciliation conference between the Hashemites and the Saudis. The Saudis need to allow the Hashemites to be repatriated back into Arabia, the Hashemites must be allowed access back to Mecca and democracy needs to flourish in Arabia! Saudi Arabia has been an illegal dictatorship wrapped up in the façade of an absolute monarchy. Religious dictate rather than the rule of law has forced all other Arabians to be second-class citizens to the ruling tribal elite! Democracy will ensure freedom for all and will force the Mullahs back where they belong in the mosque rather than being the nonelected political lawmakers.

9) The Mid-East is in turmoil due specifically to the Saudis in combination with British guilt for not standing up for the Hashemites in their time of need. The British didn’t even say Boo to the Saudis and let their ally be forced out of their homeland. In return, due to their guilt and remorse the British gifted the Hashemites 75% of Palestine and 100% of Iraq! Now they need to make amends to both the Hashemites and the Jews. They need to aid the Hashemites to become Arabian citizens once more while finally owning up to their obligation of birthing a peaceful Arab and Jewish partitioned Palestine! With Jordan now becoming eastern Palestine, western Palestine (the land west of the Jordan River) can become the final and realistic borders of Israel.

10) It will then be up to the Arabs to relive their experience of 1948. They can either recognize a Jewish State or fight its existence! But now with a country consisting of 75% of Palestine, they would look foolish and greedy to try to gain control over 100% of the former British Mandated territory of Palestine! They can either act like the Saudis and try to push the Jews out of the rest of the land or they can start acting like a peaceful nation that belongs to the 21st century!

11) In terms of a simple and realistic solution to Nuclear power plants, investment in solar converted energy to boil water should replace radioactive heat. Because after all, a power plant whether powered by fossil fuels (coal, gas, oil) or a nuclear heat is at heart just a big boiler. Water is heated either by the traditionally burning of fossil fuels in order to boil water or by the heat generated by a fission reactor. Then the steam turns a turbine, which then spins an electric generator. The Mid-East is exposed to more direct sunlight then the Northern Hemisphere countries that have become dependant on nuclear power plants. As a result, the Mid-East is the perfect region of the Earth to build solar power plants because the Sun’s rays cause more heat to be directed to this latitudinal region of our planet. Thus developing solar heated water boilers would solve the nuclear crisis in relationship to the shadowy use of radioactive fuel being diverted for nuclear weapon development! As well, our Earth and future generations of humanity will be spared the burden of having to dealing with the spent fuel rods from nuclear reactors. Not having to worry about the constant containment and disposal of radioactive waste products will be a huge blessing for all parties concerned!

So there you have it my simple and realistic outline for peace and security in the Mid-East. As well, I have proposed the simplest and most realistic option to assure the replacement of the antiquated boiling of water via the heat generated by nuclear fission with the 100% clean and free technology of heating water by solar energy to power steam generated electricity!

This is no longer a dream this is a reality! These aren’t just talking points, this is an outline that everyone should be talking about and it’s these ideas that you need to be sending your strong approval of to the decision makers of your country. So if you agree with my simple and realistic political proposal for Mid-East peace and as well as for my plan to build solar power plants then send this to your local political leaders---right now! Start working on local initiatives to lobby the British to sponsor a U.N. peace conference between the Saudis and the Hashemites. That’s where the Mid-East peace talks need to begin; you can’t even begin to sponsor an Arab-Israeli land for peace talks until all of the original British Mandated land of Palestine is available for negotiation. And that can’t even begin until the Hashemite clan gives up its claim to eastern Palestine and move back to Arabia.

Also begin the dialogue of solar power, it’s a simple and realistic proposal; substituting the burning of fossils fuels and the heat from nuclear fission for the Sun’s rays to boil water in order to generate steam to drive turbines that will spin electric generators! You can do it, get organized, get scientists on your team and make group appointments with political leaders in order to get the funding into solar power research today! Together we can make solar power viable before the Mid-East gets bogged down in the construction of fission reactors just to boil water!

Do it—do it today, today right now—act immediately for the safety and sanctity of the good Earth and for the future of mankind! ACT NOW!!
