Terror watch on Mecca pilgrims

“It is absolutely wrong that people who are going to Mecca for entirely religious purposes should be monitored by the security services. It is a sad commentary on Britain’s relations with Saudi Arabia.” No, it's a sad commentary on the prevalence of attachment to violent jihad among all too many Muslims, and the failure of Muslims in Britain or anywhere else to separate the jihadists from their ranks. By David Leppard in the TimesOnline, with thanks to Sr. Soph:

THE intelligence agencies are monitoring every Muslim who travels from Britain to Mecca on pilgrimage in a wider effort to piece together intelligence on suspected Al-Qaeda terrorist activity.

A senior Whitehall official has disclosed that the operation targeting trips to the holy city in Saudi Arabia by more than 100,000 British Muslims is part of a trawl by MI5 and MI6 for information about movements of suspected terrorists. It follows evidence that British Islamic terrorists have visited the city before carrying out attacks in Britain and abroad.

The importance of the intelligence operation was one of the reasons given by spy chiefs for maintaining ties with Saudi Arabia when the Saudi government was threatening to break off intelligence ties over a bribery investigation by the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) into BAE, Britain’s prime defence contractor....

This weekend Muslim leaders voiced their unhappiness about the operation. Dr Ghayasuddin Siddiqui, leader of the Muslim parliament, said: “It is absolutely wrong that people who are going to Mecca for entirely religious purposes should be monitored by the security services. It is a sad commentary on Britain’s relations with Saudi Arabia.”

"It is a sad commentary on Britain’s relations with Saudi Arabia.”

Booooo Friggin HOOOOO!

Tell you what's wrong...

It's wrong that people visiting or living in Saudi Arabia cannot carry bibles or hold bible studies in their homes or erect buildings to assemble together and worship Jesus.

It's wrong that people can be murdered if they convert to Christianity. It's wrong that people can be forced to convert to Islam at gunpoint.

Bunch of buttheads.

The best part of this story is that, although muslim organizations in Britain can protest, CAIR can't lobby against it! For once they just have to seethe, whine and fume!

Isn't life grand?

Dr Ghayasuddin Siddiqui points are agreeable: 1. In stating that "it is absolutely wrong that people who are going to Mecca for entirely religious purposes should be monitored by the security services." He implies that it is perfectly correct to monitor people who are going to Mecca for other than entirely "religious" purposes (e.g. terror inclined jihadi posing as "pilgrims"). And perhaps it should not be the security services doing the monitoring - rather it should be immigration officials who should be allowed to revoke re-entry and citizenship privileges of those with any direct and indirect ties to terror.
2."It is a sad commentary on Britain’s relations with Saudi Arabia.” Indeed it is sad -as it is past due time that Britain and all of the non-muslim world should very carefully reconsider all relations at all levels with SA as well as all of 'dar al-islam'.

The best part of this story is that, although muslim organizations in Britain can protest, CAIR can't lobby against it! For once they just have to seethe, whine and fume!

OUTLAW LOBBYING - It's pure corruption.

“It is absolutely wrong that people who are going to Mecca for entirely religious purposes should be monitored by the security services."

What does one do with a religion that commands its believers to slay the disbelievers, and promises a better afterlife for doing so ? What does one do with a religion that says that the entire planet belongs to its followers and no other religion must exist ? What does one do with a religion that says that its followers have a claim over everything that a disbeliever owns, including, but not limited to, his womenfolk and wealth ? A religion whose sole prophet was a murderer, looter, rapist and a paedophile and who is described by his followers as "The Perfect Man to emulate" ? What does one do with this religion ? And its followers ?

"WHO ARE WE TO TO LIVE WITHOUT HIS PERMISSION ?

I say Democracy is a LIE
Justification for SIN

Politics is weak without GOD. IT IS SIN"
-- from a posting by "holy warrior" above

The comment of "holy warrior" above is instructive.

It contains two of the elements of Islam that Infidels need to be reminded of:

The first is that The Believer as slave to Allah. He has no right to live "without his [Allah's] permission. He must follow the rules, of Allah, his Total Regulation of Life, the duty Allah imposes on all Believers to participate in Jihad to spread Islam until it eveywhere dominates, and Muslims dominate -- everywhere.

Do these rules make sense? Are they amenable to reason? It doesn't matter. They are Allah's rules, as communicated to Muhammad, as set down in the Qur'an, as glossed, in essence, by Muhammad and the Companions in the Sunna (which consist mainly of the Hadith and Sira, but of a little more as well).

And "democracy is a LIE." Why is "democracy" a LIE? Because it elevates mere slaves of Allah, mere mortals, above Allah himself. For if mere mortals, as voters, can decide on the legitimacy of a government, and if that government can impose a rule, or enact laws, that contradict the Holy Law of Islam, the Shari'a, then those mere mortals, even if they call themselves Believers, have been led into a dark place by the corruptions and inveiglements of "democracy" away from the True Path, away from the Path of Allah, the Path that always leads, inexorably, to the Holy Law of Islam.

Yet the Bush Administration is full of people who wish to deny or not to learn about this. And the other governments of the Western world are full of people who similarly wish to deny or not to learn about this. And the press, the radio, the television, the pontificators and editorialists everywhere, wish to deny or not to learn etc.

They subsitute the plausible words of those practicing what should be detectable, by sensible people with a modicum of knowledge of Islam, as taqiyya. Or they are led astray by the personal charm of this or that Muslim colleague, who is "so nice" (so nice in fact, that he turns out to be far nicer in his little inquiries about your family, his little examples of thoughtfulness, than so many of your thoroughly busy-busy Western non-Muslim colleagues) that you make all kinds of assumpations based on that particular neighbor's or colleague's "niceness" that simply miss the point, miss all the points, about the belief-system of Islam, and furhtermore assume that outward charm and "niceness" cannot co-exist with beliefs, on all kinds of matters, that would if you were aware of them chill you and give you quite another feeling. But since you never test the real views, on all kinds of matters, of that "nice" Muslim colleague, and you are content with the outward and visible signs of that "niceness" and that willingness, it appears, to integrate into Western societies ("why, he even shares a beer with us"), then you stay, perhaps wilfully, unenlightened.

And if you are in the upper reaches of government, you find that the Unrepresentative Men -- the Chalabis and Makiyas and Allawis, and Women -- the Rend al-Rahims, or for that matter the pseudo-reformres who defend Islam such as Shirin Ebadi -- are taken as your guide.

But it is Islam itself, and the masses of Believers in Iraq, whose inculcated views, and the attitudes that naturally arise from them, that have decided what will happen in Iraq, not what Chalabi, the graduate of the University of Chicago, who assured so many credulous souls in the Administration about what would naturally happen in Iraq -- Chalabi, who had been out of Iraq for 45 yeras, the thouroughly Western and thoroughly secular Chalabi, who like the other westernized exiles may truly have forgotten, as so many in the Muslim elites tend to do when they are abroad, or try to do, what a country on Islam, what people on Islam, turn out to be and to do.

And having learned nothing about this, Wesetern governments, and especially those in the American government, keep relying on, keep having "discussions" with (Rice loves "discussions" with ruling Arabs, almost as much as Hilary Clinton and a few other sappy-sentimental phonies running for office love these "conversations" with The American People), keep on avoiding the subject that matters most, in the Middle East, in Central Asia, in the Subcontinent, in southeast Asia, and above all, in Western Europe, where the weapons, and the people, and the museums, and the schools, and the lands of the West may, not through military means but by means of the "money weapon" provided by the rich Arabs (especially Saudis), and throgh propaganda, and systematic campaigns of Da'wa that target the psychically and economically marginal, and above all, through the simple arithmetic -- get out your Fibonacci sequence, get out your "rate of change depends on state of change" for some idea -- of demographic conquest, so that in the Netherlands for example, where in 1970 there were 15,000 Muslims, there are now, in 2006, more than a million. And with the results we see, if we visit Rotterdam or Amsterdam, all about us.

Wow
Are these guys hilarious or what?
Or do they think we are fools or what?

Well he says donnt monitor pilgrims.
Ok
So is he gonna provide a list of who are the pilgrims and who are wannabe terrorists.
He wants a safe passage for his bombs and bombers.

I wish to thank Hugh for his post above.

He has shown the failure of the neocon philosphy in the Middle East.

Since we are dealing with 6th century idealism, we would be better to use 6th century thinking. Probably 12-13 Century military thinking would suffice.

"GOD IS LOVE GOD IS HOLY"

That rules out Allah. Never was there a poser so full of hate as Allah.

So WHO IS GOD?

"WHO ARE WE TO TO LIVE WITHOUT HIS PERMISSION ?"

Who are YOU (or Muslims anywhere) to decide? When did God give YOU permission to destroy the life that He created? By the way, that includes YOUR OWN!!!

The Goobs,

Your're absolutely right, of course.

What's galling to me is that no Western leader will tell them as much.
Whenever Muslim leaders protest the treatment of Muslims by non-Muslims, we immediately start making excuses for why certain measures might be necessary to protect ourselves, when we should be sending them a list of crimes they commit everyday against Christians, Jews and others who don't share their screwy beliefs. The list should include a note telling them to straighten up their own act, and too send no more protest notes until they can show their own laws are in line with the laws of other free and civilized socities.
Think any of our Western leaders would have the integrity and guts to answere in this way?

Muslim pilgrims: Tomorrows suicide bombers & terror supporters

I may have to disagree on this one

Tomorrows suicide bombers (haji,s)normally have enough influence to encourage others to become bombers

Well if they don't like this situation theres one way to avoid it next year, STAY THERE!!!!

All this necessary surveillance, security, thousands of agents, extra policing, courts, etc, etc.
How much does it cost to the tax payer year in, year out with no end in sight?

“It is absolutely wrong that people who are going to Mecca for entirely religious purposes should be monitored by the security services. It is a sad commentary on Britain’s relations with Saudi Arabia.”
-- from the article above, quoting Dr. Ghayasuddin Siddiqui, leader of the Muslim parliament [sic]"

Why? Don't the security services of Saudi Arabia istself monitor those coming on the Hajj, or at other times, to Mecca, especially after the seizure by "pilgrims" of the Grand Mosque in November 1979? If the Saudi authorities themselves worry about risks to their security, how much more worried should Infidel states be about those Muslims who, having gone to perform that ritual, having joined several million other Muslims in an act of collective worship, walking seven times widdershins round the Magic Wonderstone, casting stones at the Devil, making it all the way to Mount Arafat, and as one vast heaving moving ocean of Muslims, thinking of what it means to be a Muslim, and in thinking about what it means to have Accepted the Truth as a Muslim, and therefore all the Duties of a Muslim, including the Duty to Spread Islam, to tear down Barriers to Islam that the Infidels, in the Lands of the Infidels, continue to put up.

And with the thoughts they'd be thinking, and the contacts they'd be making, and the plots they could be hatching, would it not make sense for the security services not only of Great Britain, but of the entire Infidel world, to monitor in every conceivable way, those who, having been allowed to settle deep within that Bilad al-kufr, behind what Muslims themselves are taught to regard as enemy lines, who have just attended a religious-ritual-cum-mass-rally that reinforces their faith, a faith that bodes ill, if taken seriously and followed fully, for Infidels everywhere.

I admit GOD has a sense of humor
I also see that alot of you do not take GOD
seriously

" LEAN NOT on your own understanding, but in ALL YOUR WAYS aknowledge HIM.

We need to re-emphasize the honor system. "Green" nothing to declare. "Red" something to declare. We should then place signs around the airport that state that if you are a terrorist you are supposed to present yourself to the red line. Perhaps because the signage may be confusing to foreigners we should have the airport sign translated into 8 major languages so as not to offend any one group. The sign could explain "if you are a terrorist you are expected to present yourself on the red line. Please be honest. We do not profile so as not to offend Moslems."

"I see a lot of you don't take G-d seriously"
from above posting

With all due respect, I think you take yourself too seriously.

People, this is called chutzpa, and Muslims (especially Arabs) have it in spades. They'll make demand after demand without any shame and they'll act outraged if their demands are denied. The only way to deal with them is to be firm and ignore their whining.

JIHAD is an integral component of Islam. So even if it is for ONLY religious purposes, it would then therefore necessitate surveillance.

I have the solution to the poor, pitiful, little muslims having to make the nasty, long trip to Mecca and being humiliated going through all the big, bad "infidel" security: BLOW UP MECCA! See how smart I am! Now they don't have to go anywhere anymore!

"Why is "democracy" a LIE? Because it elevates mere slaves of Allah, mere mortals, above Allah himself. For if mere mortals, as voters, can decide on the legitimacy of a government..." -- Hugh Fitzgerald, explaining the Muslim mentality vis-à-vis political science

For the Westerner who is theologically inclined (such as the 20th century German-American philosopher, Eric Voegelin, who, though he never in his adult life ever attended one church still considered himself a Christian and, on his deathbed, requested a reading of Psalms in German to soothe his transition from the Tension of Existence to the Beyond of the Tension), yet who has not hardened his theology with hypostatic symbolisms into doctrinaire doxa, rather allowing his âme ouverte the flexibility, or the "serious insouciance" (as one might render Plato's spoudaious paizen), to consider theology from the vantage of Goethe (also a Voegelin's-eye view) -- “As a moralist I am a monotheist; as an artist I am a polytheist; as a naturalist I am a pantheist” -- the Demophany of Abraham Lincoln is also a spiritual event of Theophany as it has unfolded in history in the form of the ongoing revelation and noesis of the central problem of political science: Representation:

"...this nation, under God...[a] government of the people, by the people, and for the people..."

What all Muslims (and some Christians) cannot understand is that there is no direct pipeline to God by which to get specific instructions on a blueprint for political science and laws: at best (for the theologically inclined who are also mature enough to grasp the Caesar/God distinction) the necessity for an imperfect mediation of God's will through the human recipient who then becomes an imperfect conduit of that divine will renders all laws and all political science imperfect and human.

Anywhere on Earth and in history when a human being tells you that some particular law is "not man's law, but God's law", he is ipso facto contradicting himself, and you would be a fool to believe him: for you would have neglected to notice a crucial part of the communication: it was a human being who communicated this supposedly exclusively divine law to you! In the very act of a human being proclaiming that some law is absolutely divine and not human, the anthropomorphic nature of that law is unavoidably implied -- and an obtusely unnoticed contradiction replaces the Paradox that has been botched.

The genius of the West, from the time of the pre-Socratics to the present, has been to intuit, and then analyze and unfold (often, throughout the ages between, particularly the Middle Ages, prayerfully) the paradox of the unavoidably human mediation of all things divine into the further implication first illuminated by Plato (and then brought to perilously reifiable clarity in the God-Man Jesus): Political science is a joint venture of God and Man, and not the exclusive province of the one or the other.

The obtuseness of Islam, on the other hand, is to insist that God's literal laws and OCD rules & regulations and whims came down lock, stock and barrel from on high without suffering any corrosion from the atmosphere of imperfection as meteorites must -- indeed, as all things sublunar must --, and that the agency and intelligence of human beings who receive this God's revelation have no role to play in its mediation and communication. In fact, for the Muslim mentality, to even hint that human mediation plays any role at all in the revelation of the truth from God is the highest sin. And thus, political science remains frozen for Islam in a time capsule, and can never reach the real Earth -- the Earth that grows, changes, matures, develops, imperfectly in motion: the only motion there is, as the humans given dominion over it wend their way into the luminously unknown future. Muslims have spent all their centuries hacking away at anything that threatens to change, hacking away at what they fear the most: the imperfection and mystery through which we all have to nagivate, those of us seeking God, as well as those of us choosing not to seek God.

And what do they think they will see these potential terrorists doing? They will be praying to Allah, just to make sure their names are down for 72 virgins.

The intellegence service's time would be better spent investigating and follwing all the preachers of hate a TV channel has unearthed. A bit of bugging wouldn't go amiss.

Is anything being done about them? I doubt it.

You can see the official video here...

http://godhelpbritain.blogspot.com/2007/01/undercover-mosques-official-dispatches.html

At the same time the intellegence service is lurking in the background, other civil servants will be there (paid by the taxpayer) to pat the bums of any muslims who happen to fall over.

Wasn't there any carnage this year? Or did I miss that news?

Infidel Pride, I have wondered the same thing and have asked on various web sites but have gotten no response. Perhaps there was a media blackout due to saudi pressure.

Basically Holy Warrior, you believe God gave you a book (Quran) and God gave you a BRAIN.

Islam teaches read the book but DON'T use the brain.

“It is absolutely wrong that people who are going to Mecca for entirely religious purposes should be monitored by the security services."

Given what anyone with half a brain knows about islam, that is EXACTLY why they must be monitored by the security services.

The muslims going to Mecca for "entirely religious purposes" are exactly what we should be concerned about.

Security in Arabia also! That's right,I had forgotten that. Bet they want everybody to forget that also.

Remings me when the slime gov here - right here - wanted to impose an arab corp. to control security in the U.S. ports.

When Americans found out about it - thre was a great outcry against it. The scum arabs had the nerve to say American are biased.

BTW, anybody have any up-dates on that story?
It's usually the case, tht after a proposal has been rejected, tptb sneak it through later.

I must be a very simple person - because I hardly understand all this person. Hardly. I hardly understood it before either. Hardly.

But what I do understand - I say "There Is a direct pipeline to God."

What does he and priests want to make sure to keep their jobs - by referring us to middle men?

If people here want to discuss theology - let's do that. We can all challenge each other.

Because I notice a lot of people in this forum are now discussing theology - and one particular religion. CHristianity ONLY.

Let's discuss then, the Nature/Goddess religion. or the Native American Church.

Aren't they as valid? Let's!

"BLOW UP MECCA! See how smart I am! "

Barbarian - brutal and retrograded!

Let's NOT lower ourselves to the level of the moslems.

I don't think I'm invalidating anything. We Americans were born fighting and grew up as a nation fighting. From day one, we had to fight hard for our existance, be it on an Indian frontier, against foreign invaders, and now against muslim jihadists. With the exception of the liberals amongst us, we recognize threats instantly and, more importantly, we understand that evil is always uncompromising and can never be appeased by negotiation or non-aggression pacts. In WW2, we were perfectly willing to eradicate whole cities and their populations on two continents because we knew the evil nature of the enemies arrayed against us. Our "barbarism" as you put it paved the way for a free and prosperous Europe and Asia that would have otherwise fallen first to Fascism, then Communism. When the time comes and we must, we will drop the pretense of political correctness and fight at the muslims' barbaric level precisely because, if we do not, we will lose this war and then the world will wish forever we had....
Furthermore, Islam is built on a house of cards with the biggest one being Mecca. If that one falls, all the rest will collapse.

I agree with all you said and you are spot on about Mecca too. Without Mecca, islam would come unglued. And I hate to tell our pacifist allat, but all's fair in love and war, especially war. I'm not a bellicose warmonger but I am prepared to be just as low-down and nasty as the most savage muslim to defend what I hold dear.

Muslims are heartless, ruthless barbarians driven by a satanic creed that most people, religious or otherwise, will never fully comprehend because islam transcends the normal human paradigm of evil. The average Westerner has never seen or experienced the level of hate and malevolence that exudes from islamic canonical texts and dominates muslim thought. Survivors of the Holocaust experienced a similar evil, but they're almost all gone now. It is very difficult to wrap your mind around something as irrational, unholy, and deadly as the death cult of islam and we would all like to believe that this hideous ideology is just a bad dream, but it's not.

When the human survival instinct kicks in, nobody will give a damn what methods are used to defeat totalitarian muslims and their dreams of world domination. The threat level isn't high enough yet but when it is, we will prove to be as ruthless and determined to save our civilization as they are to destroy it.

Very valid points, Susanp!

After 9/11 I seriously believed that GWB would make it clear in no uncertain terms that Mecca would go unless the jihad is stopped. Instead there were, in Mark Steyns words: 'Trafficjams to the mosques'- where western leaders took their shoes off and declared 'Islam a Religon of Peace'-we are suffering the consequences of this folly to this very day.

9/11 also should have resulted in an immediate stop, and I mean full stop of all Muhammedan immigration. With America leading the pack, other western countries would have followed.
We are lead by fools and thats why we see ourselves in the mess that we are.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to get better, rather worse.

allat,
You really think so ?

http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/014924.php#c337857

Have you read about the past 14 centuries of jihad ? Talk to us when you have done so.

On the other hand, Melanie Phillips cites a Times On-Line article quoting the self-same leader of the Muslim parliament on the topic of hatred being preached in mosques and the community's responsibility for this thusly:

Today’s Sunday Telegraph at least punctures this silence to report that Ghayasuddin Siddiqui, the head of the Muslim Parliament of Great Britain, called for imams and mosque leaders to be questioned amid claims that forces were reluctant to act.

"He also expressed concern that a Muslim primary school teacher, secretly filmed while he delivered a diatribe against Jews, Christians and ‘filthy non-Muslim doctors’, has been allowed to remain in his job… The school confirmed that it was investigating the remarks but said: ‘We have always found him to be a dedicated and committed teacher throughout his employment. He has never expressed religiously or racially intolerant views whilst teaching at Al-Noor.’

Mr Siddiqui said that he was ‘astonished’ at the school’s stance, but claimed it was indicative of a wider trend: ‘If a blind person refuses to accept he is blind, then no one can help him. British Muslims have a problem and it needs to be recognised. If it is, then we can isolate the few extremist individuals, and the entire community will stop being stigmatised.’"

SusanP,

There you go! Let's hope our leaders come to the same conclusion sooner than later. Our whole civilization will be saved.

It is a sad commentary on the muslim community in Britain, that ridiculous, pointless creations such as the 'Muslim Parliament' exist.

Exactly what purpose does it serve? Where is the Hindu Parliament? The Buddhist Parliament? The Jain Parliament? The Catholic Parliament?

Of COURSE Saudi Arabia is monitoring who is coming and going. THEY want to spread their hateful religion around the world, but they are terrified of terrorists taking over their country. This is why they make deals with terrorists. We'll help you spread your jihad if you leave us alone. This will come back to bite them in the azz eventually.

The Sauds want to maintain their position of wealth and power. They too use our politicians to send a message that we either keep them in power or lose the oil to Russia and China. They threaten us just like Iran does. Iran knows that they have the backing of Russia and China - since neither of those countries would want us to gain control of the oil in Iran. China and Russia have big business deals in Iran and this is to win their approval so that they can better control Iran's politics.

Control of the ME is all about who controls the oil. Want to know who's REALLY fighting our soldiers in the ME? You might say Iran or you might say Syria....but let's not forget that China and Russia have ALWAYS been in bed with both these countries and THEY supply their military hardware used against our kids over there. So essentially, the United States are fighting China & Russia. This was also the case when we supported Bin Laden against Russia in Afghanistan. This is tit for tat in Russia's eyes.

China sits on the security council and has big oil deals and big pipeline investments in the Sudan. You can bet your azzes that there will be NO security council resolution against the Sudan. The UN is useless and the security council is used to promote power and wealth - even at the expense of human tragedy.

The next attack against Israel will be one that is ultimately funded by China and Russia, via Syria/Lebanon and Iran.

I love you guys!!!
You make me laugh?
LOVE

The big difference in the God of the Jews and the Christians and of that of the Muslims is that the former is a form of relationship called covenant. The latter is more like a master/slave setup.

The Goobs,

Got to take into consideration that both Russia and China are protecting themselves from having the Islamofacists turning against THEM BOTH, that is why they support the Islamofacists.
