Previous stories about the pig races on the land next to a new mosque in Texas suggested that pig racer Craig Baker was just being un-neighborly. But this one adds a detail I haven't seen before: that the mosque owners told Baker he would have to get rid of his pigs.
Now what made them think that they had any right to tell their new neighbor what he must do with his property? They were treating him like a dhimmi. But it doesn't look as if he is one.

Craig's neighbors, the Katy Islamic Association, have plans to build a mosque and community compound on the 11 acres they purchased alongside his farm.
Baker, 46, a stone-shop owner whose family has owned the farm for two centuries, says the association knew about the pigs when they bought the property, and it's not fair for them to ask him to get rid of the animals.
"I am just defending my rights and my property," Baker said. "They totally disrespected me and my family."
Initially Baker and Kamel Fotouh, the president of the 500-member Islamic Association, were on good terms. But things turned sour at a town meeting, where Baker says Fotouh insulted him by asking him to move.
"That was the last straw for me ... calling me a liar, especially in front of three or four hundred people at that meeting," Baker said. "Mr. Fotouh said it would be a good idea if I considered packing up my stuff and moving out further to the country."

Those are great questions...one small thing is that Katy, TX is not rural Texas. It is in metropolitan Houston, about 30 miles from downtown Houston.
One more reason that I oppose immigrants from Iraq being allowed to immigrate here. The more we let in the more we will see things like this. When in Rome do as the Romans do or go back where you came from!!! Issues like this will only create groups that will hate Muslims. This really boils my blood!!! The pig farmer has been there 200 years and these, mostly foriegners, tell him to move- what a laugh!! I spent time in a Muslim country so in no way does this cause me to hate them at all but this should not be tolerated by the good people of that community. They should sell the property for the Mosque and move themselves and frankly funding from Saudi Arabia should not be allowed to build a Mosque. Katy is on the outskirts of Houston, which, if you haven't been there and think of Houston as some mid-size southern city, is a huge metropolis on the level of LA. Katy is in an area gradually beimg swallowed up by the usual suburban necessities: strip malls and chain restaurants. It's one of those places that used to seem much farther from the city where there are still some dwindling, but soon to be completely absent, farmlands.

I saw this story on FOX which had an interview with the pig farmer on Shep's show.What's also interesting is that you could hear people snickering in the background when Shep was introducing the topic (will CAIR call the FBI?). The land has been in the farmers family for over 200 years yet arrogant Muslims had the nerve to tell him he would have to get rid of his pigs on land he owns. He also claimed he was called a liar at a community meeting by the Muslim leader.My guess is the Muslim lied about telling the farmer he would have to remove his pigs.The pig races are being held every Friday to coincide with Islam's holy day. I would be more careful about smearing Abraham. You're missing some very dense theology there, and potentially alienating yourself from the over one-fifth of the planet that will save your ass.
An irrational theology would be one that takes the Christian admonition of "turning the other cheek" (in the context of loving your enemies) and ignoring the admonitions to obey rulers since they receive their authority from God as "they do not bear the sword for nothing" and ignoring Jesus clearing the moneychangers from the temple, etc. This irrational theology is called pacifism, and it cloaks itself in whatever is at hand and convenient, frequently "cherry picked" Christian verses. It is this post-Christian West that is failing against Islam.
A freedom-to-farm zone is not defined by the 12-gauge shotguns therein, nor by the shells on the night table next to to the big gun.

The history of what has happened to Hamtramck, Michigan is an indicator of what they are going to do. They move in and take over. Hamtramck was a city with a large Polish population. Somehow, enough moved in and got the votes and now the population has to *hear* the call to prayer every day. Can you imagine? It is an awful sound. I have heard it in Jerusalem and it is terrible, like a whine, 5x's a day. I remember on the local Detroit tv stations (totally dhimmi) when this was a big issue the muslims were trying to compare the call to prayer with church bells. I mean, you can't compare pleasant bells 1xday with the nightmare non-muslims have to face listening to that grating, ridiculous call to prayer 5x's a day. I feel terrible for the nice people who can't or don't want to move. Why on earth would people need to be called to prayer anyway? Those zombies can't even remember to pray. Even the most religious of Jews (who pray 3x's a day) don't need a call to prayer. Something has to give-we just cannot let them take over. They are so manipulative and insidious.

It differs from mosque to mosque. In some, the azan (call to prayer) is like wailing. The saudi funded mosque in my city got a "mecca trained" muezzin to teach the local muezzins the right way to azan. Now the azan of that mosque are commanding, compelling. Over high decibel speakers, the azan frightens infidels.
Oh, of course, there's a *right* way to "azan". And the Saudi's funded it, well of course they did.
That must be a really fun job, the "muezzin". Going to mecca just to learn this fun way to "frighten infidels".
And you can also rely on the Saudi's to teach you the proper way to behead the infidels.

Craig Baker posts a copy of a letter from Mr. Kornhauser the attorney for KIA. In it Mr. Kornhouaser accuses Mr. Baker of suggesting that KIA is part of a silent majority that condemns violence... So what does he mean? That Baker's assumption that KIA actually condemns violence is not correct and they don't condemn violence? or is he just too lame to know the difference between the words condone and condemn? Or maybe he is just hoping he can state the truth directly and everyone will just gloss over the real meaning of this statement?
If I was that farmer, I would consider buying more pigs, MANY MANY more pigs. The Muslims have no right to tell him what he can and cannot have on his own land. It's a free country, and they could have chose to build the mosque elsewhere if they objected to pigs being near to it.
I suspect this has more to do with trying to intimidate the farmer by imposing Dhimmitude than the pigs themselves being actually an affront to them.
Everyone who pays lip service to multiculturalism is indirectly encouraging this sort of behavior from the Muslim community. Multiculturalism only works when all the cultures within it have mutual respect for other cultures. Islam does not fall into that category and is incompatible with modern life and democracy.
Perhaps all the celebrities who owned pot bellied pigs were onto something.
