The Islamic Courts in Somalia are not giving up despite their crushing defeat by Ethiopia. "Information for Mujahideen Seeking to Join the Jihad in Somalia," from MEMRI, with thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist:
On January 15, 2007, an Islamist website posted information for mujahideen who wish to travel to Somalia in order to join the jihad there. The message included maps and satellite images showing various possible travel routes. One of the suggested routes goes from the port of Aden in Yemen to the port of Berbera in Somaliland, continues to Burao, capital of Togdheer region in Somalia, and ends in Lasanod, capital of Sool district, where a unit of the Islamic Courts Union is claimed to be stationed.
Hmm, a few well armed troops should follow these directions and find their way more easily to targets in need of destruction.
Those jihadist pigs never give up until either the last of them or their precious Islam is dead.
Islamforlosers:
You're just one ahead of me, I was gonna post the same thing. Just pass the info on to the Ethiopians so they can pick them off one by one...

They most likely would too!
What/Who is the Constantinopolitan Irredentist? Is this some historical reference? Please enlighten me.
Thanks.
Radical vs. Moderate Muslims battle it out in Britain:

crush them completely
atleast one country will be freed of the cancer
The jihad will never be over anywhere as long as we have imams and mullahs and as long as we have mosques.
"in Lasanod, capital of Sool district, where a unit of the Islamic Courts Union is claimed to be stationed."
...POSSIBLY a place worth investigating with an armed force.....
"So, why don't we say that Islam and the Koran are the problem here? I'll tell you why: It is off-limits on Jihad Watch..."
Is this for real? People have been censored and even banned from this site for saying this too strongly. Trolls aside, most people here say this each and every day and those who don't say as much know this to be self evident anyway.
"where a unit of the Islamic Courts Union is claimed to be stationed."
Yep, when you arrive just ask any local moslem(moderate) and they are sure to point you in the right direction and make sure you arrive safely in the jihadi camp.
Whats the difference between "radicals" and moderates"?
The "moderate" holds you down while the "radical" cuts off your head.
If you're a kuffar, all moslems wish you harm.
Isn't that right thuggie pooper?, you aint fooling nobody but the deaf, blind, and stupid kuffars.
Not true. The violent, intolerant, and culturally incompatible passages of the Qur'an and ahadith are fundamental to the work of Jihad Watch. That should be obvious, particularly from today's other postings, including the one right after this one concerning the American-born imam.
And please lay off the caps lock. You've been asked before.
The BBC has published another pro-Jihadist article from Somalia again today. It's a 'man on the street' type article with ICU sympathizers being given free rant. This is my favorite bit:
"Of course there were big disagreements before [under the rule of the Union of Islamic Courts], but at least that came within the context of freedom of expression."
You seem to imply that we overlook the intolerance and violence inherent in Islamic teachings here at Jihad Watch. Again, not true:
You'll recall that Robert's latest book was called The Truth About Muhammad: Founder of the World's Most Intolerant Religion. Moreover, central to the "mission statement" of Jihad Watch, in the left margin of the main page, is the fact that no mainstream Muslim group has ever repudiated the doctrines of armed jihad.
However, that's not the same thing as what you said above, and that's where I think we part ways with your suggestion above: You are oversimplifying our concerns about Islam and possibly attempting to put words into our mouths. You're entitled to your opinion (with the caps lock off), and we're entitled to delete it if we find it to detract from what this site is for.
Moreover, it is facts, not feelings, that move the discussion forward. A sober, rational, and cool-headed approach is another thing, along with reliance on primary sources such as the Qur'an, ahadith, and commentary accepted as reliable by Muslims themselves, that sets Jihad Watch apart from the ranting, raving, and showboating punditry that dominates the media.
I'm getting more impressed by the Ethiopians retaliating against Islamics; hell, they're doing better then we are !
Henry-- I did not say I thought you were lying. There's a difference in something being not true due to a matter of fact, versus one due to a conscious attempt to mislead.
I'm merely pointing out that it is far more productive to be specific in one's objections than what you offered as the one alternative to being "religiously correct," especially as you seemed to imply Jihad Watch was in the latter camp, thus putting words in our mouths regarding Jihad Watch's stance on Islamic teachings related to jihad and sharia.
For example, concerning the need to be specific: does it bother me that someone else's religion has special dietary rules for its adherents? No. Does it bother me that someone else's religion expects unbelievers to convert, pay tribute, or die? Yes, and that, of course, bothers plenty of people: Present the facts precisely, and let people draw their own conclusions.
Clearly, this is more productive than leading with the assertion that "Muslim/Islam (all of it) is a murderous and evil religion with no redeeming qualities whatsoever!" as you stated in your posting at 2:37 above. This is what I was referring to regarding oversimplification.
There is plenty that is problematic about Islam, and that's what needs to be our focus, not broad-brush rhetoric.
I'm actually hoping that a lot of the Somalian diaspora takes them up on their invitation to go back to Somalia and join the jihad there. One-way ticket and no return!
Praise Jah for Ethiopia!
Marisol is once again completely correct. Glad to see measure being proclaimed. On another topic and I apologise for it (seems putting "OT" is the gold pass for this):

You Americans may be interested to learn that unlike your beautiful country you just cannot say whatever you like in much of the rest of the world, which some say, we go to every time we log on.
An appropriate long-view of this confrontation in the Horn of Africa is not just that the Islamists might over time reconquer Somalia....but also that Ethiopia's involvement might just become the facilitator of a Christian-Muslim Civil war in that ancient country.
This thing has just begun folks.
Will you now say that the Koran and anyone who believes in it are worshippers of an inherently evil and incurable religion? Incurable, that is, unless many, many, paragraphs are ripped out of it and thrown away forever. If so, you are the first one I have ever been sure of - I believe the above, I wonder how many others would sign on the the above definitively? Not many if any I bet! But if you do, you will be a rare bother to me (it seems to me, hope I'm wrong - but I have been raving about this for a long while now) - Love, Henry

The words of the Koran and the actions generated by it for 1400 years speak for themselves as to whether or not it is evil. I feel it unnecessary to reaffirm the obvious-past postings on this site should be sufficient proof of my beliefs on the subject. Most people here would not visit this site at all if they felt Islam and its texts were benign, myself included. In fact, this site would not exist at all were that the case.

It's all about rights vs. Sharia. I've sent a printed version of it to my Federal and State representatives, as well as the President and Vice-President, Speaker of the House, House Majority Leader, Harry Reid (D-NV), Silvestre Reyes (D-TX), House Minority Leader, Rep. Tom Tancredo (D-CO), Joseph Lieberman and others.
I still need to send copies to Joe Biden, Newt Gingrich, and some others. I will also be sending Rep. Goode (D-VA) a copy, but with a letter thanking him for his efforts.
But I'm a realist. I'm not operating with the notion that all or even many of these people will read my letter and the two-page editorial, but I do think that each letter I send will make a difference, even if they don't get immediate results. That includes the Letters to the Editor. I've sent so many to my local newspaper that I no longer receive a reply each time and they aren't being printed now... I suppose I've had my turn in newsprint for a while.
I will continue to stress to people that Islamic leaders, law and tradition is exactly what the founding fathers declared independence from in 1776. I will continue to hold the record of Islam and Sharia up to the light so that people might see it's discriminatory and medieval and supremicist. I know that these efforts do make a difference. I can see results occassionally.
