What happens to those who work for positive change in Islamic communities? Look at Seyran Ates. Where is the Vast Majority of Moderates to stick up for her and allow her to continue her work?

BERLIN — Seyran Ates opened a loose-leaf notebook in her fourth floor apartment in the center of Berlin and flipped through the pages of hate mail. She read the letters in a monotone. The 43-year-old Turkish-born attorney had the face of a weary warrior.o “You should receive the highest punishment possible for your nasty, dirty existence.”
o “You are a Nazi. You support the racists that hate Turks.”
o “How can you betray us, you whore.”
In June, an enraged husband attacked Ates in a courthouse as she accompanied his wife, a client who was about to start divorce proceedings. “You whore. What ideas have you been putting into my wife’s head?” the assailant shouted as he beat his wife and attempted to strike Ates.
For 20 years Ates has endured attacks and threats from Turkish men as she represented the wives who accused them of abuse and sought divorces. She has been shot and badly wounded, she has been beaten, and she receives daily death threats. Police guard her home.
Now she has decided to give up her Berlin law practice, because it is too dangerous to continue.

How do the German multikulti PeeCees explain this stuff away? How do they do it? What are they smoking? Do they fail to understand that their actions are enabling these animals' ascent into Europe - to the detriment of us all?
I really wish we could divide up the Western States among those who wish to live as future Dhimwits and those of us who wish to live in Freedom - sans islam. Why should we suffer for the foolishness [at best] and the self-hating malevolence of the Left? We also suffer for the abject greed of the global business interests who have hi-jacked what formerly used to be known as the "Right".
What I don't see yet in any of our countries is some form of organized resistance. Any form of political dissent is met with stone-cold intimidation, defamation and worse. Right across the spectrum of the organized political and MSM establishment.
The German Pro-Köln party was even put under surveillance for "anti-constitutional activities". This for opposing and organising against the planned building of a huge super-mosk right on the banks of the River Rhine.
In spite of all of this they have so far collected in excess of 25,000 signatures against this project of occupation. The hightest number of signatures ever collected for any reason in the City of Cologne.

They want Turkey and its millions of Mohammedans to be admitted to the EU. So with freedom of movement Seyran Ates will soon have many thousands more clients as the Muslims import their oh!!! so peaceful, repectful, woman friendly religion around the member states. The Social Security services should be happy too many more clients for them and the Probation services and Police and Prison services. Job security lots more customers.
There was a public whining by Mrs. Ates in September 2006. After having received an overwhelming wave of solidarity by many Germans she decided a few days later not to give up her law practice.
In Germany advocates (and physicians as well) are not allowed to run any advertising btw.

They already had divided themselves up.. After all nations had boundaries, but as Bat Yeor and so many like her (Robert Spencer on 1/7/07) have pointed out, they have been sold out by their multikulturist leadership!!

While Ates is to be commended for her courage in defending battered muslim woman, her own words indicate that ultimately she too is part of the problem.
It's easy and perhaps comforting for her sensibilities to blame the near-universal battery of muslim women on something other than islam (i.e. masculinity) or try to relativize it (i.e. no religion recognizes the equality of women), but real courage would mean confronting inconvienent truths about the nature of islam and islamic male-female relationships.
At the end of the day, Ates contributes nothing to the anti-jihad movement.

I'm not sure how apologists would answer to this. They always say that moderate Muslims are just repressed by evil governments in the Middle-East, but what about Europe? As far as they're concerned, there are nothing but moderates in Europe. What, then, could explain the situation of Seyran Ates? Oh, wait: it's the Media Conspiracy again. Moderate Muslims are simply repressed by the media, which is hell-bent on making Islam look bad. Yes, that explains everything.
The few righteous and brave men and women who stand up to Islam should be cherished, protected and venerated by their societies, not humiliated and abandoned. For allowing such terrible injustice to happen, the German people will collectively pay a steep price. And it won't be only the German people.

I'm afraid you are right. To our shame I have to say that we didn't support women like Seyran Ates who risks much more than those stupid politicians or the rest of our german civil society. The only one who stand up against islamic suppression are muslim women and jewish intelectuals. What a shame! The most weak and endangered groups in our society are the only ones who fight for our rights. We will not pay the price for our gutlessness but we already pay the price. We let 3 million muslims in our country that destroy our society from within. The muslim females have no rights and the males are mostly cads who despise education.
But I think,things are changing. People begin to realise that the threat to our society does not come from a few terrorists who hide themselves in Afghanistan. It comes from every muslim who visits mosques where they tell him that we are infidels that have to be killed.
But maybe the truth is so horrible that we don't want to see in its eyes.
Maybe we have to fight and kill for our rights.
