JAILS are spending thousands on colour-coded kitchen tools for Muslims, it was revealed last night.They are getting special red handled equipment to prepare Halal meals.
The move comes after an MPs’ committee recommended more should be done to meet the needs of Muslim prisoners.
So far 900 kits — costing £500 to £800 — have gone to jails across the UK.
The Koran prohibits eating pig meat, which is considered unclean. So the serving spoons, ice cream scoops and ladles are kept in special locked chests to prevent contamination by those used for other inmates.
But many of the UK’s 7,000 Muslim prisoners think the kits are a step too far.
A Muslim in Wakefield jail, Yorks, said: “We’ve all eaten in restaurants where no one cares how food is prepared. None except the strictest Muslims bother to check whether different equipment is used — it’s a waste of money.”
The government should do more to meet the needs of victoms of moslems.
However, the victoms don't usually threaten violence and have no equivalent of the moslem council of britain to threaten violence on their behalf.

Is this about the utensils used in eating food or is this an attempt to keep unclean non-Muslim hands as far away from all things in the prison kitchen? I bet only Muslim cooks prepare the food for the Muslim prisoners, clean the plates and utensils of Muslim prisoners and carefully wrap them in green napkins until the next use. Sort of like the white glove treatment given to the Korans at Gitmo....so what's next? Islamic green underwear for the prisoners, only to be cleaned (yuck) and folded by Muslims for Muslims. How many times can you spell dhimmi???
Nothing but depressing news coming from Britain for the past few days.
This is sickening. They are laughing at us behind our backs. We can't even incarcerate them properly. They should have no special treatment whatsoever. Same goes for anyone claiming religious "needs". That ought to be part of the punishment, for justice's sake.
What burns in me is the question as to whether there are any pressure groups, think tanks, policy research units, etc that actually collate this kind of information and present a proper case for the correct understanding of Islam to the UK Government. We cannot afford to just publish this stuff, as necessary as this is. We need to form groups to push this information into the right places. We need a PR, marketing machine, as much as we need research and data collation, as much as we need intellectual honesty, as much as we need a spirit of defiance in the face of Muslim audacity and apologist betrayal.
Unfortunately maryrose, I suspect that the Islamic gentlemen (and I use the term advisedly) would be quite keen to see the non-muslim inmates cleaning and folding their green underwear.

That, plus doing whatever gave them a 'go to jail' card in the first place .. the focus needs to be on rehabilitation - which involves making better moral choices - not menu choices.

These guys are in *JAIL* - not in an all-expenses-paid mosk in the countryside. At least that's what I thought punishment was all about. Do these guys get to use basketballs and footballs that aren't made from pigskin?!
If you ask me.. go to Pakiland when you are released.. or bvetter yet.. what if any Western country about to jail a mo-Foe were to offer him the following deal:
You either go to jail where you eat whatever we see fit to serve. Just like the native inmates. OR - you consent to return to your non-Western country of origin and you get a reduced sentence with islamic food.
Should you ever return your original sentence is tripled - and you eat pork three times a day.

Just a reminder for people not to go to restos that serve Halal prepared foods if it is against your religious beliefs. ;-)
I am surprized the prison staff hasn't offered to cut up these prisoner's food into bite size pieces and spoon feed it to them. Of course that would involve being fed by the filthy hands of an infidel. Heaven knows we don't want to offend them. (Dhimmi's are such wussies)
Just fix a meal, the choice is: Eat if you want to....
