UK: Warning for Muslim police officer who refused to shake chief's hand

An update on this story. "Warning for Muslim WPc who refused to shake Met chief's hand," by Ben Fenton in the Telegraph, with thanks to Sr. Soph:

Scotland Yard said yesterday that a Muslim woman police who refused to shake hands with the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police at her passing-out ceremony would be dismissed if she did not "engage" with people as other officers do.

Sir Ian Blair personally congratulated all 200 recruits at a ceremony in London last month, but shook hands with only 199 after the woman specifically requested that she should not be required to do so, apparently for religious reasons.

She also asked not to have her photograph taken with Sir Ian, Scotland Yard said, but a spokesman refused to confirm reports that the officer had cited her concern that a picture would be used for "propaganda purposes".

A spokesman said Sir Ian had questioned "the validity" of her request at the time and an investigation was now going on into the incident.

The statement said: "Ordinarily, the Metropolitan Police Service would not tolerate such requests.

"This request was only granted by members of training staff out of a desire to minimise any disruption to others' enjoyment, and to ensure the smooth running of what is one of the most important events in an officer's career."

The statement added: "An officer's probationary period is designed specifically to ensure that they undertake the role as required. If this does not occur the officer may be required to leave the service as any variation on this will not be tolerated."

Once the police and military buy into this BS about having to be sensitive to the needs of Islam
(or any other group for that matter) chaos is bound to ensue. When will it end?

I don't get how she will be able to arrest anybody if she can't even touch them. Will she just raise her arms and knock out the baddies with her armpit-odor? No doubt that burqa will really make a stink.

The statement added: "An officer's probationary period is designed specifically to ensure that they undertake the role as required. If this does not occur the officer may be required to leave the service as any variation on this will not be tolerated."

Let's see how this actually holds up as fact. My guess is the authorities will have to dance around it to ensure "tolerance" of the downtrodden muslim masses and keep the jihadis off their back.

loler

LOL - I think she'll just ask the criminals politely (even if they happen to be Islamic thugs), "Could you please step out of the car - you are under arrest, and anything you say can and will be used against you."

It would work wonders with members of the ummah.

"A spokesman said Sir Ian had questioned "the validity" of her request..."

Every similar incident should be 'a learning moment'.

To make it such, the commissioner should task his staff--and the woman--to ascertain the validity of her assertion.

When they determine that it's merely a reflection of her own 'personal Islam':

Can her; and make it clear to further recruits (in writing) that such shenanigans--intended to humiliate the kuffar and force them to accept another aspect of shari'a law (and another and then another)--will result in immediate dismissal from the program.

The muslimah did not pass the last test. Show her the door.

The muslimah made a strategic mistake, however. She could have done far more damage to the laws of men if she would have shaken the hand and then have been given a huge welcome into the back offices of the kuffar police departments. She could have wreaked much more havoc on the illegitimate Constitutional Monarchy if she would have merely shaken hands with the kufar pig.

Sir Ian should have gone up to her and stuck his hand out as he did for every other candidate. He is her superior officer for Pete's sake!!!

Why should she have to shake hands with the Police Chief? It would just mean hours of ablution to cleanse herself after touching the filthy kaffir. If kaffirs touch each other, no such cleaning is required, we're all filthy anyways.

I'm glad that one of our government officials got to stand there with his hand outstretched and a shocked look on his face as she refused to touch him. It is time for him to learn who his Masters are, whose country this really is. Perhaps this moment will stick in his memory, the next time he is thinking of giving one of those ubiquitous "Religion of Peace" disclaimers on the event of the next jihadist attack.

It could not happen to a nicer guy. Blair is the most PC chief the Metropolitan Police have ever had - good to see how he likes it.

Do the police forces have certain rules and regulations for behaviour and conduct and solidarity like the army has? Don't they sign like a deal with terms on it before hand? I don't know my self but they should. But I guess this woman jumped on the fact these new rules she is making never had to be made so she is making a good job stirring it up to be incorperated, why does Islam have to be so complicated.

Where you find Islam you find separatism and this is no different, call it airport, cabs, swimming pools, Mosques or crosses it's like they are disabled for the fun of it.

She's in the UK, in the UK Police.
Therefore adopts our rules of law and conduct.
Either embrace all cultures within this society and compromise or return from whence you originated, born in the UK irrelevant, back to your family roots you should go!
I'm not a racist or extreme right wing but I am sick of treating people with kid gloves so as to not upset their extremist factions.
ENOUGH !
Give all who don't wish to embrace a multi-cultural society a free ticket home away from the UK.
There is no room for insular cultural standpoints in modern society.

The muslim are laughing their fat arses ott at us kafirs

Hopefully, she will one day have to respond and intervene in an alcohol fueled bar brawl between dirty kaffir males. Who knows, might even be a drunk muslim in there too! Lord knows I've seen one to many down a pint.:)
