Coulter, Ferraro square off on Hannity and Colmes about the DNC imam

I don't know why but I found this interview very, very disturbing. Having heard that, in the past, Sean Hannity was reluctant to tackle subjects related to Islam, it was good to have the debate. However, when Mrs. Ferraro and Mr. Colmes, who is Jewish but said that he frequently went with his wife to Mass, both repeated that they heard the same messages at Mass on Sunday. I couldn't believe what I heard. How could two people, who have both attained much success and fame in our society, be so...ignorant, blind, deliberately deceiving...all of the above? As you can see from the film, clips of the marches in Dearborn in support of Hizbollah, led by DNC praying Imam, were shown at the same time as the discussion. Hear no evil,see no evil, as the enemy grows from within, aided by our 'leaders.' I needed several Tagmet tabs after the show was over.

What a pity! Here was a chance to simply demolish the Democrats for their stupidity/cluenessness in inviting the Dearborne imam for leading a prayer at the DNC; and all that both Hannity and Ann were able to succeed in doing was to come across as a bunch of zealots. Just wish Robert had been there instead.

It's sort of prophetic, everyone lives in unbelief, and that's the way the Lord wants it. We want to "wish" the bad man to go away, and literally explain this to the public with open arms. Dan Rather did this too. I would say, Peter Jennings tried to warn us; knowing the fact that Islam is 3 billion strong, but he was squelched out also. Truly, all of us Lord Fearing people know the truth, and we yell from the mountain tops, but those in authority could care less. The same thing happend with Darius, King of Jerusalem. It's a pity and it's a shame.

Why do liberal/democrats ALWAYS seem to give the benefit of doubt to the (peaceful, just like any other religion) Muslims? Are they blinded by their "diversity is good" mentality or are they simply in denial?

It's possible this cleric's comment might have been code for the US troops in Iraq, but I think it more likely he was thinking of Israel. Islam must dominate, and the presence of Jews in a Jewish state (even if half of them are there because they have fled Muslim countries) is oppressive to the belief-system adherents. The Jews must be returned to their Dhimmi status. Jews are the occupiers and oppressors simply by not being Dhimmis in Dar-al-Islam.

Beyond this, the whole lack of plain speaking with Muslims, the deception, is so repugnant that it leaves honest people with an absolute feeling of coldness to them. To feel otherwise (for an honest man or woman) is not normal. It's normal to be repelled by people who speak in code, by deceivers suck as this cleric.

a side note was last week chuck norris set in for sean and steve emerson was being interviewed. norris seemed to not even know there was an issue with muslims in the first place.

The right thing is that the conversation was held. Geraldine alluded to it. She is wondering why they are having this discussion. It's the connections that the Social Democrats don't see in their "everything is wonderful world". Give all the faiths equal time. Well isn't that nice? Which one wants to kill them?

The Geraldine folks wonder why there is all this fuss about preachers? The connection that the Social Dems don't make is, that one of their diversity demonstration projects want's to kill them.

Hannity & Colmes interviewed Bridgett Gabriel also. She matter of frank stated the problem was "Islam", as required by the Koran, and not just a tiny minority of extremists and that 20 - 25% (of 1.2 Billion)muslims have been radicalized. (Even 1 - 10% would be a horrendous number. She went on to say, in response to Hannitys question, that the world is in a war of civilizations, that started in 1979, and that Islam is "awakening from it's slumber." Want proof, just turn on the TV.

Dhimmy Colmes then interjected that extremeists comprised a small number.

Last week, I saw a part of the Democratic Winter Meeting shown on C-Span featuring the imam that was the subject of the Hannity/Colmes show last night. As the camera panned the audience while he prayed, I saw Democratic operative and Arab-American Institute president, James Zogby, in the third row. I wonder if he had a role in bringing the imam to the meeting? He is funded by the Saudis, and this imam was a Shiite, but Zogby has a great deal to do with the Democratic Party making connections with Muslims. In my mind, his counterpart in the Republican Party is Grover Norquist, somewhat secret Muslim, who is Karl Rove's best friend and who has the ear of Mr. Bush.

When the US administration fails to slap Turkey into place (this happens regularly) and allows her to threaten Cyprus with military action, then what the hell is the difference between these two parties?

Sorry to say that Ann Coulter, as accurate as she usually is, was either tired or something in this interview and did not pointedly and accurately confront both Ferraro and Colmes. The points should have focused and stayed on the phrases "the people you doom." and "occupation" - "occupation" by Muslims has always referred to the existence of Israel. To you Muslims: how far back in history do you want to discuss? It is the Palestinians who are the quote unquote "occupiers." Muslims occupy 90% of the land in the Middle East and Muslims want to complain about the existence of Israel? Talk about arrogant.

Colmes and Ferraro are too stupid to know when they are being insulted (by this imam).

And Hannity and Coulter lack intellectual depth to defend the obvious.

Of course rather than asking the expert, they thought it would make for better entertainment to ask Ferraro and Coulter, neither of whom knows enough about Islam to shed any light on this issue.

Coulter, being somewhat wiser and more likely to read a website like JW/DW or LFG, correctly assumed the worst about the Imam. And Ferraro, being the typical lefty and getting her limited knowledge of Islam from the MSM, went out of her way to compare the Imam's words to that of all other religions, including her own.

I won't have confidence in our media until I regularly see people such as Robert, Hugh, Brigitte Gabriel, Nonie Darwish, Walid Shoebat, Wafa Sultan, etc.,, on news/talk shows giving their analysis of issues related to Islam.

We got into the Iraq mess on account of naivete, but I still won't vote for the Democrats because I don't think the answer is more naivete.

Agreed, No Trojan rinos. I’m sure you have noticed that the fringe of the repubs are what the mmm choose to cover. They call them moderates, what the hell is a moderate, someone who is willing to compromise their values? If their values are good why do they compromise them? If we had not gone into Iraq I guarantee you we would not be making the anti jihad progress that we are today. This imam's reference to the "doomed" refers specifically to non-Muslim "infidels". Most likely, this imam's reference to 'occupiers' and 'oppressors' is a general reference to non-Muslims, since Muslims consider all non-Islamic people, government, and societies as illegitimate and "oppressive" to Islam.

If the democrats are STILL BLISSFULLY unaware that Islam teaches first-degree murder in the Kuran as primary 'religious' doctrine, then they have lost all political credibility. But, alas they are among millions of American citiens who are similarly acting out of sheer ignorance. This DMC meeting was a dark moment in US history indeed.

We all might as well forget any hopes we once had of Fox News leading the way in exposing islam. It's not going to happen. Hannity avoids the subject of islam like the plague and his apprehension is apparent as he parrots his requisite "islam has been hijacked by a few fanatics" mantra. Ditto Colmes. They both desperately need a shiny new cliche. These people are constantly enmeshed in "breaking news", world news, political matters; they are involved every day with a deluge of events occurring around the world and encompassing every matter, yet not one of them has taken the time to learn about and understand the most important issue of our time---islam. Or are they deliberately obfuscating the truth? I cannot believe that they, or our deceitful politicians, are that stupid. It is not possible.

I don't expect any of the bright, young, ambitious journalists on the cable news networks to actually think outside of the box, but what happened to investigative journalism? In the not too distant past, NOTHING was sacred, nothing was too sensitive to investigate and expose. Nobody was too powerful or influential to escape the microscopic scrutiny of a dedicated, ambitious journalist. Powerful politicians have been toppled by the news media, including one president in my lifetime. Unknown journalists became superstars overnight and went on to become legends among their peers, best-selling authors, sought-after speakers. Isn't there even one journalist with the courage, conviction, and ambition to expose the doctrine and agenda of islam or the hundreds of radical imams preaching hate and intolerance in America? Isn't there one who would investigate the dozens of seditious islamic advocacy organizations or the Saudi-funded madrassas operating in this country? There are islamic elements here that pose a dire threat to all of us yet they pursue their diabolical agendas with impunity and anonymity. Without the help and cooperation of the mainstream news media, it will take decades to accomplish a task that would take only months with their help.

A few intrepid, inquisitive journalists launched a relentless investigation into the misdeeds of Richard Nixon, and they persevered until they uncovered and exposed all the skeletons in his closets, finally driving him from Washington in shame. Nixon was harmless compared to the radical muslims living among us, yet nobody in the news media is remotely interested in them or their agenda. The potential for sensational, unbelievable, attention-grabbing, headline news abounds within the islamic enclaves and mosques of America, amazing revelations that would have Americans glued to their television sets and waiting on their doorsteps for their morning papers, ready to be collected, documented, and disseminated. I can't recall any issue worthy of media coverage that was more important, urgent, imperative, or relevant than the one the media refuses to address today--islam.

The news media bottom line used to be money---big stories meant big profits. Today their bottom line is a political agenda and money is secondary. Maybe greed isn't so bad after all, at least it produced results. The biggest story of our lifetime is not newsworthy by today's peculiar standards, and the public's "right to know" is denied by powerful news moguls. It is crystal clear who controls America.

as someone who understands arabic, i think people might be reading too much into one part of the Imam's prayer; his request that God stop "the war". in arabic, nouns are almost always definite where in english they would be indefinite. in other words, the expression "american policy in the middle east" would be expressed in arabic as "the american policy in the middle east". i am certain that the imam, using his arabic frame of reference to express himself in a second language, was asking God to "stop ((all)) war", a generic prayer, not referring to a particular war (either Iraq or Darfur or anywhere else). most of the rest of the prayer was the standard Fatiha muslims use to pray all over the world.

although agreeing it was weird for the DNC to invite anyone to pray (can you imagine the outcry if President Bush offered to lead the nation in a verbal prayer), i don't think a lot of attention needs to be given to an analysis of the prayer itself (although I agree with the comment we should be aware of the assumption in the prayer that the Bibilical prophets were all fully surrended to God (ie Muslim). By the way, it was also interesting that the Imam was politically alert enough to use "God" instead of "Allah", something he must surely would not have done if not advised to do so by some politically correct handler.

tgusa, I agree with you on many points about the so called moderates, however when it comes to the Republicans who are fighting for us every day, I still feel there is a lot to be desired.

I personally feel we are making very little progress on the jihad. President Bush started on the right track track years ago when he said "you are either with us or against us". I was pleased saying to myself finally someone with balls to take this fight to these bastards. Then all of the sudden Islam is a profound religion and the same relationships with the Saudi's, Pakistani's and Turks stay the same.

How is it we have made any difference? When the US today is supporting the partition of a country that was involved in the anti jihad (Yugoslavia). When we are complicit in these types of sell outs, then we are really just a group of tough talkers, doing all the wrong things. This administration needs to do an about face and stand up to the UN and say we have a change of heart, Kosovo belongs to the Serbs. Lets keep some of the good things done and keep supporting Ethiopia against the Somali's and ensure that Ethiopia can keep the Sudan from overrunning her borders. Until I see a consistency in these types of events, I'll stay on the side that says nothing is being done right. By no means does that statement make me a liberal or Democratic supporter, it just means that no one is doing the job right.
