For several years at this website it has been suggested that NATO must meet, or perhaps the Defense Secretaries of all NATO countries aside from Turkey must meet, to discuss the problem of Muslim infiltration of the military and spy agencies and other security services. NATO should scrutinize the supposed "integration" of Muslims and the ways in which those in charge of their vetting often rely on the advice of other Muslims. Those Muslims make assurances to them that often prove empty.
NATO should also examine the access of Muslims to Western weaponry and Western military secrets, as the Muslim population grows. It should study the possible effect of a takeover by Muslims of a Western country as that population grows, in two generations or perhaps earlier. What should then be the response of other Western countries still free of Muslim domination? Should they promptly expel their Muslim population to avoid the same fate? Should they invade the country that has been taken over, in order to rescue its art, its monuments, and the remaining Infidels -- who might still be, in fact, close to a majority, or even a majority, of the population? Planning can only take place if the problem is recognized: see Lenin and the Bolshevik Revolution and the Russian Civil War; see Adolf Hitler and the ire of the Nazis; see global warming and possibly unstoppable and catastrophic climate change; see, see, see.
Infidels are going to have to rely for their knowledge of Islam not on what the Islamintern tells them, not what The Guardian or John Simpson or Edward Mortimer or John Esposito or a thousand others tell them that Islam is all about, but rather on those who are fully capable of studying the texts, studying the history, putting it together, and arriving at a view of Islam that both explains the previously accumulated data, and has predictive value about the behavior of Muslims in the future. Such a work, for example, is Islam and Dhimmitude by Bat Ye'or. Many of the articles at this website have made predictions, early on, about what would happen, what kinds of behavior could be foreseen -- that is, were perfectly foreseeable although not foreseen -- in Iraq, and then outside Iraq in response to events within Iraq. Predictions that became possible to be made because all the data was properly considered.
On the other hand are those who write books with such titles as After Jihad (Noah Feldman), with its obvious misunderstanding of what Jihad is. It does not "go away" but merely, in a sense, can be constrained. Jihad can exhibit the signs, in case of firm Infidel response and Muslim weakness (the kind that Muslims felt from the period 1830-1960) not of ideological change, but of quiescence. One must not allow oneself to be misled by this. It is not merely a disease, however dangerous, that can be treated.
Just as the civilian leaders are mostly Yesterday's Men not up to the task of grasping, or even studying, the matter of Islam, the military leaders are similarly unfamiliar with the doctrines of this Total System, and of the peculiar hold it has on the minds of men. They may make judgments based on the exceptional Muslims, the one out of 1,000, rather than the other 999. This could be fatal. For reasons known only to them, a few prominent "Muslims-for-identification-purposes-only" Muslims -- Fouad Ajami and Zalmay Khalilzad come to mind -- will not announce their real views on Islam, and Ajami, in his books, stays carefully away from the subject, so that the value of his work has been, often, fatally vitiated by his refusal to confront the Matter of Islam. Perhaps he senses this, and believes he cannot do so for career reasons. Perhaps he believes it would interfere with his chances to continue to travel, say, to Kuwait (Behbehanis and all) to meet with that handful -- it is a handful, only a handful -- of the enlightened or quasi-enlightened. He has the same problem that Bernard Lewis has: wanting to speak to the Infidels, and wanting at the same time, with the same words, to try to move a potential audience of advanced Muslims along as well. And neither Ajami nor Lewis has been able to be the proper guide for policy partly for that reason -- partly because Lewis has minimized, and Ajami ignored, the malevolence, and power, and menace of Islam. They can't do it.
Others, however, can. And it is such people who should be consulted by the military and political leaders as they make plans to fulfill their primary task: to instruct, and to protect, those whom they presume to lead.
NATO must meet.
In the end it is my fear that ethnic native Europeans will need to be evacuated from thier own countries in the face of a new Holocaust. All of Europe will look like Lebanon untill complete Dhimmification has won over. This civil war will be extermination will be on a Biblical scale. Americans will have to make an exchange native Europeans for Muslims as the world realigns itself 40-50 years from now.
Realignment will take place much earlier than in 40 to 50 years. One only need to have a look at the United Kingdom or Belgium. France is very next to follow, although they may have a glimmer of hope if Sarkozy is elected President. No doubt that if the ultra liberal Royal makes it, then France will accelerate its Islamization.
The problem we are facing is that most people do not understand that Islam is not only a middle aged religion which does not accept progress, it is also an ideology of supremacy and destruction. The politically correct crowd would have you believe that if Muhammed was still alive he would have some falafel with you when in fact he would probably rape your daughters and cut your head...

I'm no expert but it seems to me that things are going to get very, very, bad in Europe before they realize their danger - then it will take another 'total war' to get then out of it again - if ever.
The other day I happened to see a program on "future weapons" on Discovery Channel. One weapon was a German tank. It's specialty? Because of an integrated and sophisticated computer program, the tank's barrel could be elevated (the higher the elevation, the longer the time for a shell to reach its target); a shell is fired; followed by a lowered barrel (shell fired, slightly sooner the shell reaches target), and so on -- five times in a row a shell is fired from this gradually descending barrel...Thus, all five shells simultaneoulsy hit the same target...Five times conventional fire power. Oh, and the tank moves on (already on its way out, prior to the shells actually hitting the intended target) -- thus preventing any return fire...(Or any return fire won't hit the tank). I was thinking -- what happens if Muslims obtain such weaponry -- ie, Muslim take-over of Germany?

The way the west should react and this is not just up to governments but up to the individual if there governments don,t have the balls to act is when a western country is losing it,s freedom being taken over by the Forth Reich AKA Islam western people the world over should do just what muslims do pour into the country from all over the world and fight for the freedom of that country expelling the muslims and letting them know there and then what is going to happen if they try to take our lands and freedom.

One problem with NATO is, since the collapse of communism, it has become and organization without a function. Its purpose was to stop a Soviet/Warsaw Pact invasion of Western Europe. It has accomplished that. It is now time to scrap it and form a new defense organization based upon the threat of Islam. This should include all Christian countries as well as India, Israel, and any other country interested in defending itself against Islam. It should be concerend with of course a conventional military attack by states such as Pakistan, Iran and Syria but should be more properly focused on the low intensity warfare now taking place. This would include thwarting muslim insurgencies and terrorists, busting up their funding and cells, and waging psychological operations to discredit and debunk Islam in the muslim countries just as VOA and Radio Free Europe did in the Cold War with Communism. It should also be authorized to arm, train, and equip anti-muslim resistance and militia forces such as the Christians in the Sudan and Indonesia and Buddhists in Thailand. Most of all, a pact should be signed by all member states that a jihad declared by muslims against any country would be immediately regarded as an attack upon all requiring a unified, total military and political response by all member states against the offending party. I think this would go a long way to bolstering our collective secuirty as well as rallying our peoples against the Islamic threat.

Your thinking is dangerously unfocused. Instead of a futurist tank that may or may not be deployed sometime in 2020, think of EXISTING nukes and delivery systems that UK and France have.
If Pentagon doesn't have plans, right now, of emergency takeover of UK and France nuke facilities, Bush should be impeached.
Islam’s fourteen hundred years of growth have been enabled by poor communications among those conquered and relatively crude weaponry. Even in that environment, the Europeans were able to organize and repel the invader. Since then, European breeding patterns have favored the attributes of strength and intelligence. Islamic breeding patterns have been influenced by Qu’ranic teachings, which are not of much use when push comes to shove.
Islam is currently exploiting the idealism and generosity of the European social model, but the current situation will end long before Muslims can achieve any political power. The trigger will either be Paris-style riots spreading throughout Europe, a successful WMD strike, or the failure of the social safety net.
All military resistance could be crushed in a week. The transport capacity of the Western airlines could return all Muslims to their homelands in days. Europe will be fine, its just going to get meaner.

The tank which was featured in the Discovery program is the Panzer Howitzer 2000. The Dutch army used this very tank, the Panzer Howitzer 2000, in August, 2006 against the Taliban.
If someone wanted to "take over nuclear facilities" in Europe...well, one thing could be assured, it wouldn't be a "cake walk." Europeans are not third-worlders.
Also, I fear the U.S. in its expensive "nation building" project in Iraq and elsewhere (throwing good money after bad) may translate into a decline of U.S. supremacy in terms of weaponry.
