A Hamas spokesman has reiterated that the new Hamas-led coalition government will neither recognize Israel nor stop terror. According to Hamas spokesman Mushir Al-Masri, Hamas interprets the Mecca agreement to mean that the Arab and Islamic worlds have accepted them as they are, and that "international legitimization" will follow.The following are excerpts from the article:
Hamas movement spokesman, Mushir Al-Masri, said: “Hamas remains as it is: following its principles. It did not retreat, but advanced forward.” He confirmed that it will not recognize Israel, will not abandon the resistance [i.e. terror] and will not discard its principles.” He further said: “The Hamas [that existed] prior to the government, is Hamas of the government. Hamas prior to the unity [government] is Hamas after the unity.”This was said during a rally organized yesterday by the Islamic University student council, as part of a series of activities of identification with the university. Thousands of university students and a group of representatives from the Legislative Council and ministers participated in the rally…Al-Masri added: “Hamas received national legitimization through the gathering of masses around it and around the option of resistance [i.e., terror] and received legislative legitimization through its victory in the Legislative Council elections. It's called Total Ignorance of Islam. It's called Ignoring the Treaty of Al-Hudaibiyya, the immutable basis for all subsequent treaties -- "truce" treaties rather than "peace" treaties --made by Muslims with Infidels.
It's called ignoring the doctrine that insists a state of permanent war (though not always warfare in the military sense) exists between Believers and Infidels.
It's called ignoring the concepts of Dar al-Islam and Dar al-Harb.
It's called ignoring Muslim triumphalism, by which any compromise made by the other side is always and everywhere interpreted as a victory for Islam and as a neceesary sign of weakness and confusion by Infidels, and always and everywhere leads not to a sating of aggressive appetites, a reduction in demands, but rather the opposite: a whetting of appetites, and further demands.

The very notion of a "solution" -- two-state or otherwise -- to the refusal, grounded deeply, prfoundly, for ever, in Islam itself, by Muslims and especially Arab Muslims, is absurd, and reflects what at this point is unacceptable, nearly criminal ignorance, or negligence about matters of the highest significance.
The Arab Muslims are particularly impossible to assuage, for their belief-system, Islam, is reinforced by their sense of Uruba or Arabness. There is no "solution" to the Lesser Jihad, whether pursued by the Slow Jihadists of Fatah or the Fast Jihadists of Hamas. The only "solution" is that which the Western world found possible during the Cold War: a stand-off, in which the power of the West was overwhelming and seen to be so overwhelming that eventually, the other side collapsed, divided and demoralized and weakened from within. That will be much more difficult with Islam, but many things can be done to turn back the fruits of dmeographc conquest, and Da'wa, and to reduce, permanently, that money weapon. And of course no Muslim state must be permitted to acquire, whatever its regime, weapons of mass destruction or when a state -- Pakistan -- has done so, efforts must be made to deny it the ability to deliver those weapons or to transfer them to others, and if that requires warning Pakistan of its own destruction, that should be done. It can be done quietly, so as not to start the primitive masses primitively massing, but it must be done.
So what will Rice do? Open the floodgates to a renewed Jizyah of foreign aid? Keep prating about that "two-state solution" that accepts every single Arab propaganda line, including the turning of local Arabs, post-1967, into that newly-invented "Palestinian people." She had better start reading something about Islam, and something about the history of Jihad as a duty, as that duty was executed, over 1350 years, and she should pay particular attention to the conditions under which that duty fell into desuetude. For the duty remained, but the opportunity for fulfilling that duy was, at times, severely limited. And those limits were largely thrown off by OPEC oil wealth, Muslm migration, and advanced technology from the West that helped to disseminate Muslim propaganda. But all three: the flow of money, the migrants, and the access to Western technology, can and muste be diminished or reversed.

THis sentence should be enough for Rice, UN,EU, and rest of the world, hamas do not want peace, do not want their own state, but to run out and kill every non muslim out of israel, with the Jews first on the hit list. Send out this sentence to all your elected official, and tell them enough is enough, no more of our hard earned tax dollars to be sent to these no good for nothing monsters. these horrible mobsters should be held accountable and not granted any money. Israel needs to really grow up and face this fact and deal with it straight up front and in their faces. kick out every muslim and send them to their land of origin, saudi arabia!

Hugh mentioned the Jizyah of foreign aid, quite rightly. Without wanting to invite conspiracy theories...I am at a loss to understand why the Jizyah continues to be paid by the EU and the US. I think it is safe to say that EU leaders and the US do not appreciate the historical significance of paying Jizyah, and they certainly do not view themselves as Dhimmis.

Of Course Hamas is never going to recognize Israel. How many times does one have to read the 36 articles of their Hamas Charter before it sinks into our heads. It is declared to be locked in stone just like the so-called perfect words of the Quran whether you subscribe to the Medina, or Mecca version. Hamas defines their whole existence on carrying out the tenants of the Hamas Charter--Nothing has ever changed and yet we keep trying to fool ourselves at adnauseam.

The answer(s) lie in theology.
The methods are different; the goal the same.
Once this is understood, questions like "Why, in the middle of a failed 'war', and with record low approval ratings, is bush al-saud aggressively pursuing the creation of Yet Another arab, muslim terror state, carved out of Eretz Yisrael?"
Is this a vital U.S. national interest?
Are U.S. citizens clamoring for the creation of "palestine?"
Or, is bush al-saud forcefully executing the will of every arab and muslim state, something they couldn't do themselves.
But Olmert says Jews can deal with Hamas....surely this European puppet isn't pulling something to oust America, destroy the Judean majority and gain power for his minority cabal could he?
