Iran blames Britain, US for bomb attack on bus carrying Revolutionary Guards

1938 Alert. "Iran rounds up 65 over attack on Guardsmen," from Agence France Presse, with thanks to DFS:

TEHRAN: Iran has arrested scores of people over a deadly bomb attack on a bus carrying Revolutionary Guards, alleging links to US and British intelligence, the official Islamic Republic News Agency reported Thursday. "Some key members linked with the Jund Allah terrorist group were arrested last night," said Brigadier General Mohammad Ghafari, a top police official in Sistan-Baluchestan Province. Jund Allah is a shadowy group that claimed responsibly for the Wednesday attack, which killed 11 members of the elite military unit and wounded 31 in the city of Zahedan. Ghafari said that "65 suspects as well as the three responsible for the attack were arrested ... One of the main bombers was killed." He did not specify how many among the suspects were linked to Jund Allah. "A video seized from the rebels confirms their attachment to opposition groups and some countries' intelligence services such as America and Britain." He added that police had seized 36 kilograms of TNT, as well as weapons, in a raid on a "house belonging to the key members of Jund Allah." Iranian officials have repeatedly accused Britain and the United States of supporting ethnic minority rebels operating in sensitive border areas.

What, it's not the fault of the Jews?
What's wrong with those people?

This comes to me as no suprise. It is a sign of a growning ANGRY backlash against the government of President Nutjob.

The real proof here is that the bombers didn't kill themselves. After all how much (jihad) sense does that make?

...are the terrorist leaders afraid of "terrorists"...

they may be reaping the fruits of the seeds they have sown...

Ha! Ha! Eleven more islamic wackjobs get to join Mohammed the pedophile in hell! May many more American bombs fall in rapid succession followed by Israeli ones!

They are AMERICAN Jews... //sarc off.

I like the comment about the terrorists who now are getting bombed by terrorists. How true indeed!

PS. This is the first time I've heard of a busload of terrorists getting blown up on a bus instead of school children in Israel.

Poetic justice.

Let there be more.

And please no iranian "refugees" lateron, OK?

Scrualla--Don't be so hard on refugees. I'll bet that a lot of refugees coming out of Iran these days are pretty fed up with Islam in all of its manifestations. Of the post 1979 Iranian refugees in America, there is a surprising Los vom Islam. Among CHRISTIANS of Iranian heritage in the USA, the near future will see those born as Muslims outnumbering those of Armenian and Assyrian hertiage--if this has not happened already.

HA,HA, Kim Hartveld. (What, it's not the fault of the Jews?)

That was my immediate reaction, too.

I am not trying to be hard on TRUE REFUGEES. It's just that I have my doubts. A moslem refugee is not quite what we commonly think of when we say refugee. asee for example the Somali "refugees" who insist on carrying on and making life miserable for Minnesotans and Mainers [is that the right term for natives of the State of Maine?]

Second... I am trying to follow your math.. In the beginning you say there are a great number of post-1979 Iranian fugees who are getting out of islam [los vom islam]. But then you say the majority of Iranian children born to CHRISTIANS will become moslems?! If what you mean is there will be increasing numbers of Iranian moslems in the United States then I can ONLY warn of that trend!

Nothing against cool secular Iranians. But just as I as a German am often asked the "Nazi question" [or have to hear stupid comments] - even at my age - so do Iranians and others from countries with jihadist background have to put up with a little extra scrutiny. This is far better than that the "good countries" should end up with the enemy in their midst.

Jund Allah if I remember are a sunni militant group with possible links to Al-Qaeda. They could be getting arms and weapons from anywhere.

We need a Taxonomy of Islamic Groups and a Darwin Tree of Islamic group evolution. It would make life so much better. We could go to a website or book and get a quick anatomy and evolution of a group.

That way we can play different factions against each other. When muslims fight each other it is good for us.

Muhammad is sort of like the "Cambrian explosion" with old Ali starting the first split. From there a multitude of smaller branches flowing from the same rotton root. A real stink weed in the graden of humanity.

Ban Muslim Immigration...

Baluchis are treated miserably by the Iranian government, just as, across the border, Baluchis in Baluchistan are the poorest people in Pakistan, and deserve whatever autonomy they can win. Indeed, the case for an independent Baluchistan, carved out of eastern Iran and western Pakistan, is strong, and from the Infidel point of view (the only point of view Infidels should care about) would weaken both Iran and Pakistan, and therefore is a good thing.

One thing has not been noted in the news stories about this bombing of Revolutionary Guards in Baluchi-populated, Iranian-ruled lands. The Baluchis are largely Sunnis. In Iran, that adds a dimension to their mistreatment that is not to be found in Pakistan, and to their fury.

Stories about this bombing have not mentioned the relevance of the Baluchis being largely Sunni in Shi'a Iran, but of course what can one expect? It is only in the last two days that Mike Schuster, the NPR correspondent who for years has misunderstood so much about the MIddle East, has suddenly discovered the Sunni-Shi'a conflict and attempted to begin, of course not by studying but by stringing together highly misleading statements by various Muslims -- Sunni or Shi'a -- which always manage to be tendentious and do not, as Schuster may think, somehow add up, because both sides are presented, as "the trut" but rather as something less than the sum of its parts. It is only in the last few months that the mirror-image of Schuster and of NPR, the Bush Administration, has begun to understand that there is this Sunni-Shi'a split, but still has no idea of the depth, and duration, and obvious consequences of that split.

A good example of the continuing failure of the press in this matter is how this bombing was covered, in which no explanation is offered as to who the Baluchis are, what their grievances might conceivably be, and so on. Nor has one read a single article -- outside of many at Jihad Watch -- explaining, country by country, exactly how that Sunni-Shi'a split has grown, even in the absence of Shi'a (as in Egypt, or Jordan), and how it can be found up and down the western littoral of the Persian Gulf, in the Eastern Province (Al-Hasa) of Saudi Arabia, in Dubai (where many Iranian Shi'a now live, and where they own many tens, and possibly hundreds of billions of dollars of property), in Kuwait, in Yemen (where the two groups are almost even in population, and in the past, it was, curiously, the Shi'a tribes that were supported by the Saudis against the "Marxist" -- they wore their Marxism lightly -- people in the south.

But it's complicated. It requires a few weeks of study. Who wants to do that?

Who wants to do that, when it is so much more fun not to study, as long as no one else is, or no one else who is around to challenge you, and force you to learn something.

Isn't it better for our columnists, our reporters, our Congressmen, our generals, our think-tankists, to all keep playing the same game, so as to ensure that all the same safe banalities are uttered, until one fine day along comes reality, and then people, some of them anyway, are forced to learn just a bit more than they did?

Meanwhile, the population of Official Washington seems hell-bent on trying out for their moment on television.

No, not "Jeopardy."

I'm thinking of Jay Leno's Jaywalking All-Stars, the ones who cannot identify who was the American President during the Civil War.

Think of Washington as a giant Casting Call for the Jay Leno Jaywalking All-Stars (Islam Division). For that's what it is.

Hugh

I follow your argument, but why would an independent Baluchistan i.e. one more Islamic country, be good for infidels? This is a question that could have been asked in 1971 about Bangladesh. Only 'advantage' I see here is that unlike Bangladesh, Baluchistan doesn't border any infidel country, like India. [But then too, such a country would be a country with nothing (other than Pakistan's nuclear test site), and you can bet that the State Department would be making a beeline to pay the Jiziya, which would then be a justification for expanding their budget and their miserable existence. Your scenario would require that the US stop lining up the pockets of Egypt, Pakistan, etc with Jiziya.]

Also, unlike Kurds, the Baluchis aren't subjected to Arab supremacy, and are therefore less likely to associate their persecution by the Shia Iranians, or the (comparitively less Islamic) Pakistanis with the gift of Islam. Also, on the Pakistani side, Quetta, the capital, is a Pathan, rather than a Baluchi dominated area just across the border from Kandahar. How exactly would Baluchistan, if independent, be a thorn on the side of the ummah?

.....THE creeping meatballism of the Political spectrum in Washington is indeed annoying....

Terrorist attacks in Iran.

Please excuse me while I laugh and point.

It couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch of thugs.

When America finally does get around to pulverizing Iran's nuclear apparatus, we should make sure to coordinate it with a full session of their majlis and lob in a few dozen tomahawks to decapitate their entire clerical command structure. Tehran's cozy little men's club of spittle flecked mullahs needs to be incinerated.

I thought that it was ALWAYS the Jews responsible for all evil happening on earth. At least that's what the Islamic communities around the world keep saying.

But I suppose it goes to show just how wrong you can be. The moral of the story: NEVER LISTEN TO ANYTHING A MUSLIM SAYS!!!!
