Once again the treacherous MSM elects to show Americans in a negative way. The MSM seldom seeks out film that supports American successes. I believe the terrorists and potential terrorists see how the MSM portrays the various conflicts with gratified satisfaction. The terrorists watch the news and are inspired to continue further attacks because they has a sense of impunity. They believe they are unbeatable..

I believe the MSM goes out of their way to secure anything that is anti-war, anti-victory, or anti-AMERICAN...The MSM will take a short film clip and use it to turn a molehill into a mountain...

The MSM is a treacherous lot and even though they may not be pulling the triggers, they are helping the enemy kill American soldiers....

There have been many instances where American soldiers have uncovered massive weapons and explosives caches, discovered evidence of other countries contributing to the terrorists operating in Iraq and Afghanistan, defeated the enemy in many engagements, uncovered spies in the ranks of the "friendly forces," rescued hostages, discovered "secret" arms shipments from other Muslim countries, discovered records of large money shipments from other Muslim countries, and yet the MSM selectively elects not to give air time to these types of stories which would serve to truly identify just who the enemy is and would serve to give credit to the outstanding job our troops are doing.

The MSM should be held accountable to identify the source of their films and how much they paid to get the films...The MSM has become surrogates for the terrorists and provocateurs of terror...

The MSM are a disgusting lot and it is sickening to listen to them on TV...

The most disturbing item is that many people who watch them, believe every word thay say....

Go down to your local coffee hangout and just listen for talk about the "war" or "Americans are dying for worthless cause."

No doubt they'll scream that they have to protect their sources if pressed on who's supplying the info. I was absolutely SICK of the British media(Baghdad Broadcasting Company), lefty-lib Sky News (sister company to Fox news), Euro News and the European media in general for the constant drip of anti-American rhetoric they feed the public. Often, even when they didn't outright SAY something negative about America, it would be HOW they said what they said (snotty and obviously belittling), that made it obvious that they disliked the US.

Lara needs a slap upside her head. I wish I could be the one to give it. I'd like to line up a bunch of the so-called 'journalists' over there.

I recommend that we send this information to every single person we know AND that we also write a letter of complaint to CBS. She needs to be sorted.

Could we get Jack Bauer to 'interrogate' her? A needle-full of that stuff they use on the show might do the trick! Also, could we get footage of the 'interrogation'?

If this proves true she is an enemy propagandist in a war zone. What should be done is what is fair and right in warfare. A sniper should take her out as soon as they can get her in their sights. Being a alleged western reporter doesn’t give you a pass. If it happened we would hear wild cries from the mmm, but most of the people would think she asked for it and she got it, and the story would die no matter how hard they tried to keep it alive. Now SeeBS is the friend and propoganda arm of Osama Bin Laden, just like that CNN reporter told Saddam Hussein that CNN was his friend against America--to his face and on video--DURING the war against Iraq. SeeBS and probably a lot more liberal news media liers are providing aid and comfort to America's NUMBER ONE ENEMY who is HELLBENT on killing as many innocent people as their false god requires, or have you forgotten 9/11?

This is a typical symptom of our self loathing society. We are all too willing in the west to believe anything negative about ourselves, even at the cost of our own freedoms.

Someone above asked if this was illegal, well it should be and she should be prosecuted for treason. What other offense fits this event in war?

Heres what you do to see just who is who on the t.v. news. I mean there are other ways but this works for me.

I did this on the last presidential speach to the nation.

What you do is get there early and just flip channels.Stay just long enough to get the feel of thier comments and how they present them.It will take no time at all to realize just who is who.

it works well for this event because it's one that all media are reporting at the same time.It's live and there is no hem hawing,what they say and how they say it are set in stone.

On another note they all have only one thing they worry about and that who gets the info first,correct or not,and they put thier little spin on it to feed to you and myself to further thier agenda and those of whom they support.

However when it comes to islam as the topic you and myself already know the truth and the facts therefore the spins are very easy to see.

In my opinion every university in the land needs to be shut down because if these deaf,blind and ignorant people are what they turn out,we don't need them.never mind as leaders.

I am an Army Special Forces soldier who has been to both Afghanistan and Iraq - and Kosovo for that matter, in fact, I have killed both Taliban in Afghanistan and Insurgents in Iraq.

I know Lara Logan personally. We spent several months together in 2004 and 2005 when she was the ONLY journalist authorized to accompany US SOF forces in theater and covered a segment on Navy SEALs in Afghanistan. She has been in more combat than many people in uniform, in fact I consider her fearless.

I have subscribed to this site for some time and will continue to do so in the future - because it is a very important medium, however I object to the absolutely clueless postings from those above.

Allright, let us square up on a few facts here, you are retired Navy, or obviously at least served in the Navy. Yes, I do remember Viet Nam, quite well, because my father was an Air Force SAC guy, flew over 300 combat missions in B-52s, mainly over the north,in fact I remember Arc Light 1 and 2 quite well, cuz the mothers of some of my class mates were coming to the school in tears because their father had been shot down and was either confirmed KIA or MIA. Too young ?, now you are making me laugh. My first assignment in the Army was patrolling the East German border. I met Gen. Omar Bradley when I was in basic training.

BTW, Lara Logan can tell you the names of every SF soldier she has seen go down in combat. She was in a vehicle that hit a mine in eastern Afghanistan in 2003 that resulted in an Army SSG losing his legs. She is a staunch supporter of the US, even though she works for "See BS."

I work in Information Warfare as well and am no fan of the main stream media. Your initial response to my posting sounding like the vitriolic nonsense that I hear from the "clueless masses" all too willing to offer their smug,uneducated opinion as to the situation we are in now. But you know better.

Last posting on this issue, since I view this site often, I know you regularly comment on this site as well. I was not defending the main stream media, just Lara L. I know where she is at with her allegiances.

You may remember the controversy last year with the US paying for media time in Iraq (Lincoln Group paying to put stories into Iraqi newspapers, radio, etc.)The fallout in this country was mind boggling. The sanctimonious BS about " US Propaganda, etc." The fact of the matter is, every article that was paid for to print was absolutely true. The US military absolutely does not engage in propaganda, and this is not a matter of semantics, propaganda is using untrue or disinformation and presenting it as facts. We go so far out of the way to avoid this that I feel we overly constrain ourselves. The MSM throws the "P" word around regularly without knowing all facts, or more truthfully don't care as long as it pushes their agenda.
We have bought and paid for media time in almost every war or theater of operations we have been in. This is how we tell our side of the story to the local population in country because they are dam sure hearing it from Al-Minar/Al Jazeera, etc. The fact that this was ever an issue that was so openly debated and condemmned by the simpering fools that run our major media has me truly concerned whether we, as a country and society have the temerity to win this in the long run. The reason that the enemy is so successful in Information Operations/Warfare is that they are not constrained by anything. We have to wait 45 days to have a leaflet approved to print or a message/theme approved.

God help this country if we are ever put into another situation like our grandparents were in in WWII.

The fact Al Qaeda has been able to get DOZENS of tapes out to multi-national media networks from it's "secret" cave hide out shows an international conspiracy in it's self. And not one media out let in the West has dared label the Saudi Royal family as a "dictatorship" shows a manipulation of the main stream media. ( Though that label was bestowed upon the democratically elected Hugo Chavez but not Saudi Arabia by the Fox Networks shows an appalling double standard not to mention a lack of civic reality. )

The jihad movement is manipulating the entire main stream media not just CBS.

This does not, however, mean that she and her network are not using inappropriate sources for B-roll, or even A-roll footage.

I'm glad you are willing to engage one another, but remember, anyone can see these boards, and if you're worried about propaganda the enemy can use, let's look to ourselves to present unimpeachable conduct. IOWarrior had a personal experience with the subject. What can we learn from that and apply? IOWarrior does not have personal knowledge of the topic in question. We can separate those two and be respectful, yet still discuss the topic at hand.

I have been following the Malkin story, and I her blogger friends addressing CBS and asking the hard questions. CBS's current response is vague and disappointing.
