Musharraf admits militants collusion

Acknowledging the obvious: that some Pakistani officials are sympathetic to the jihad. By Isambard Wilkinson in the Telegraph, with thanks to Sr. Soph:

Pakistan's president, Pervez Musharraf, admitted yesterday that border guards had turned a "blind eye" towards Taliban militants crossing into Afghanistan to launch attacks on coalition forces. The admission came after senior American officials publicly urged Pakistan to do more to curb infiltration.

"We had some incidents I know of that in some posts, a blind eye was being turned," Gen Musharraf told a press conference when asked to comment on criticism of Pakistan's co-operation in the US-led war on terror. "So similarly I imagine that others may be doing the same."

Schoolgirls want to become suicide bombers too

what happens to a land that is dedicated and formed for the muslims, you get pakistan, a cesspool of poverty, murder and torture. yeah l see l want that to spread like l want to lose my head. Musharraf needs to either totally clean up his military and stop this aggression on India or join his jihadists.

Does anyone have any figures as to how heavily China and Russia are invested in Pakistan? Please post if you do.

meanwhile,

Check this out.....regarding China and the Sudan

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/6323017.stm

This is precisely why Iran is acting so snotty. China recently made a HUGE deal with Iran for oil and gas.

We buy Chinese made goods and build THEIR economy while greedy corporate american sends the factories to China.

Meanwhile our Chinese 'friends' do all they can to invest heavily in our enemies.

Sudan, Iran, Syria, etc. etc. etc.

Think about that the next time you even THINK about shopping at the 'Great wall of China-Mart'

He imagines? Heck, he probably ordered it.

Perhaps the border guards are simply traditional Muslims.

They are almost as effective as our own border patrols? I wonder if they get thrown in jail for using their weapons, or rewarded with medals if they retreat---er I mean "tactically redeploy"?
I doubt much connection with Russia and Pakistan, they contrived so much of their nuke technology from anti-Russian countries and are the enemy of India that has long been Russia's ally. Pakistan and China have a tighter bond, and they supported Afghans fight against Russian occupation. More importantly, a direct route for China through Kashmir into the Middle East oilfields, for roads and pipelines to support the growing industrial giant (while ours flops around like roadkill in death spasms), will go through Pakistan, plus it's coastal frontage (yes I'm onto the waterfront thing again) is of value. I also believe it's no coincidence what Al Queda does benefits communist China, and that Bin Laden could well be hiding out just over their border out of reach, even if we knew he was there.

Musharraf has a duplicitous mouth as well as chameleon eyes...but it doesn't matter.
Just as Americans have voted to fail in Iraq, we will do nothing more than chastise as usual, and Musharraf knows this.
The border areas in dispute should be the recipient of gunship's wrath and much bombing...similar to the first ousting of the Taliban.
It worked then...so what's the holdup now?
The Commander in Chief has not defined the true enemy as Islamic ideology, so we cannot expand our fight accordingly.
The coalition should be crushing jihadis wherever they are practicing their sickness...Pakistan included.
Instead, we move toward "redeployment" and "negotiating" and "diplomacy" ad nasuem while ignoring the Bush Doctrine.
Perhaps India will find a reason to sling a few nukes over Musharraf's way and end this nonsense...heh.
Hey...it could happen...historically, they have lined up at the border and threatened each other many times.
A huge jihadi attack on India might be the straw to break the camel's back.

HawkWatcher-

With the current government in India, nothing much will happen, except more "talks". Manmohan Singh is a doormat, a dhimmi I should say. I thought war would happen after last year's attack in Mumbai but no, nothing happened, even when suspects were arrested and confessed to getting Pakistani help.

And of course, if India "slings" a few nukes at Pakistan, then Pakistan will sling back some of their nukes. I have family living in India, and I wouldn't want anything to happen to them.

What is happening in Afganistan know is the same as what happened to the Russians, the insurgents were using Pakistan as a safe haven then and the Russians were defeated and our forces will go the same way.

The same thing happened in Vietnam where the North had safe havens where the U.S couldn,t put ground forces or bomb.

You ask your soldiers to fight with one arm tied around there balls there can be only one result.

DEFEAT
