Muslim group calls Virgil Goode on the carpet

Jamal Badawi's group is upset with Congressman Virgil Goode, evidently because he told the truth about jihadist aspirations. One might have thought that Badawi, as a prominent moderate Muslim, would stand with Goode in opposition to Islamic supremacism. No such luck. "Group Wants Congressman Virgil Goode to Explain Comments About Muslims," from FoxNews:

WASHINGTON — A Muslim group said Monday it had invited Rep. Virgil Goode, R-Va., to expand on biting remarks he made last week during debate on a House resolution disapproving of President Bush's decision to send more than 21,000 U.S. troops into Iraq.

The Muslim American Public Affairs Council has "extended this invitation to Congressman Goode to give him a venue to explain his recent comments about Muslims and Islam," MAPAC Executive Director Marc Conaghan said in a statement. MAPAC also asked Goode to share a dialogue with Jamal Badawi, an Islamic and comparative religion scholar.

Goode's position on the invitation wasn't clear Monday evening. Phone calls to Goode's office went unanswered. Most government offices were closed on Monday for observation of the President's Day holiday.

MAPAC, based in Raleigh, N.C., also did not immediately return messages seeking further comment.

Goode's remarks recently have raised eyebrows among U.S. Muslim groups.

Last week, Goode said the nonbinding resolution would provide "comfort and encourage the radical Muslims who want to destroy our country." He also said Islamic jihadists want U.S. currency to say "In Muhammad We Trust," with an Islamic flag flying over the White House and U.S. Capitol.

I can't imagine why Badawi would be upset about this. Jihadists have already made pictures of the Islamic flag flying over the White House:

Virgil Goode for President!

Please send money to Rep. Goode, as the Dems and Islamists (is there any difference) will be targeting him at next election.

P.S.: I sent money and will send more to Rep. Goode (you'll get a Virgil Goode button that you can wear proudly wherever Islamists (or Democrats) congregate!

This is a great opportunity for Goode if he does his homework instead of going off impromptu.

Why is it, we are for ever, the apoligists? We are held to account, Muslims are not. Look at that flag in the picture over the white house. What are we supposed to say: sorry, its taking you a while to take over? WTF.

Indeed this is a superb opportunity for Goode. He should be contacted and Robert could offer him all help possible. Imagine the shock to have Rep. Goode pull out a copy of The Truth About Muhammad in a press conference or public debate and hammer home the facts and rip the facade right down.

What are they going to do? Send Ol Virge to some kind of Muslim re-education camp?

sonomaca,

can you give the link for making donations?

Goode should debate only if he can show a montage of pictures similar to that one.

The well of Muslim hypocrisy is endlessly deep.

What these buffoons are pissed about---->>>

A local lawmaker is once again speaking out against Muslims.

Fifth District Congressman Virgil Goode says members of radical Islam want to see the crescent flag flying over the White House. Goode's statement was part of a four minute speech he gave on the House floor Thursday.

Goode was speaking out against the resolution criticizing the President's troop build-up in Iraq. Virgil Goode angered Muslims in December when he questioned Minnesota Congressman, Keith Ellison's, decision to be sworn in on the Koran instead of the Bible.

The gentleman doesn't have to accept the "invitation."

But yes, I was wondering whether Messrs. Robert and Hugh, could possibly contact Goode and offer help, or advise. Or even verbal support. Both are meticulous in their data and research, and quick on the draw.

..."The Muslim American Public Affairs Council has 'extended this invitation to Congressman Goode to give him a venue to explain his recent comments about Muslims and Islam,'"...

So now, do these manipulating muslims actually want a clarification from the Congressman Does somebody need to send a translator over there?? I mean otherwise, the only other explanation for MAPAC's comments is that they are calling the good Congressman ON THE CARPET...and that is on a MUSLIM carpet! Somebody better go over to MAPAC and explain to these barbarians, that the USA does not answer to Islam. We are not Spain and we are not France. Our elected government representatives do NOT have to ANSWER to islam in any way shape or form. This conniving by MAPAC and other elements of the Religion of the Anti-Christ has NO PLACE in the USA, is not welcome in the USA and maybe, if they have problems with how our government works, they should all just go away. Because if they keep pushing they are going to find that RIGHT BEHIND our great patience is our GREATER WRATH.

MAPAC can count itself as moving things along on this path....and the clock indeed is ticking...we will not put up with this foolish nonsense forever....

Expand on the remarks?
What do these anal retentive kooks want but publicity and an attempt to silence American debate.

Representative Goode should expand the remarks requesting the FBI to investigate Islam trying to intimidate a United States Congressman.

I do see the kooks are learning though....have an Irishman doing the talking for them now as they blunder every time they get on camera.

Robert, if the right, honorable gentleman does venture into the jackals' den he's going to need all the help he can get. Unless he's done one whole helluva lot more research than the rest of our elected representatives these practiced prevaricators will tear him a new one and make our side look ridiculous.

And they won't gloat about it in private.

Virgil Goode should meet with them, and say:

"You talkin to me?"

"God my witness, you are breaking the law and you are accusing me...Because you are breaking the peace of this world, you wanted to create animosity between the religions, Christian and Muslim and Jewish........I won't answer you unless you just withdraw the question...See? See now? See, this is an insult. See? .... Please just follow God's rule, not insult each other.....People like you, my friend, you are playing with fire....Honest to God, you need to bring the peace to this world, ...But don't insult, please. Don't insult nobody"

And then.....walk out.

Say, doesn't his district have that Jamaat Fuqra compound? Then no wonder he is the only Congressman who gives a damn. Pelosi won't say s***. Mike Thompson (represents Yolo County and a few others) won't say s***. Senators Feinstein and Boxer won't say s***.

Bravo Rep. Goode. And I used to think badly about Virginian politicians, especially after the George "Macaca" Allen incident.

No need to debate this issue, all anyone has to do is read what the officials at CAIR have said about Islam and the United States.

Another example of this comes from what the handful of fruitcakes at the Islamic Thinkers Society have said about America's days "being numbered." Isn't that a couple of them pictured above, standing around with all of their friends?

"MAPAC also asked Goode to share a dialogue with Jamal Badawi, an Islamic and comparative religion scholar."

It's interesting that they would invite Rep. Goode, a man who probably lacks any adademic background in religious studies, to debate Jamal Badawi, a comparative religion scholar.

They know that Goode is right, but they also know that he lacks an understanding of the Koran and Hadith that would allow him to crush Badawi in a debate.

It's just another example of the dishonesty inherent in the Islamic apologist world.

This would be a perfect time for a Robert Pearson, or other scholar of Islam, to issue a challenge to MAPAC to debate Goode's statements.

At least we'd have the satisfaction of watching them wiggle out of it.

Real American people to muslim immigrants and residents and any and all born with the privileges guaranteed -until abused- only by the most unique nation in history:

"What are you doing in the USA advocating takeover of our nation- by hostile or any means and replacing Divine freedoms and liberties this unique nation is founded upon?!

And to all Americans - of any creed or background who directly or indirectly support them- in any capacity - you are engaged in illegal activities -mainly sedition and treason and are advocating the illegal and hostile means of the abrogation of the Constitution of the USA and unlawful takeover. You are considered as "domestic enemies" no matter how you will attempt to camofluage and spin your activities. There is no right to -destroy- from within. And you are engaged in this very activity.

How much longer do you think you will get away with it?"

Western civilization also gives warning to its enemies...

TINBH,

There is no such thing as treason, or being held accountable for it, in America anymore. Not since Jane Fonda sat on that Vietnamese gun.

How about dialogue between Jamal Badawi, an Islamic and comparative religion scholar, and, say...Robert Spencer? Or maybe...Daniel Pipes?

How would MPAC like either of these match-ups?

Isabella,

There is no such thing as treason, or being held accountable for it, in America anymore. Not since Jane Fonda sat on that Vietnamese gun.

If wisdom comes with age, the societies of the West are getting older. There could soon again be a majority in favor of holding the treasonous accountable, especially when the Muslims overstep their bounds. Distinguishing between Muslims and their apologists probably won't be on the agenda.

The question is, how old is too old to do what will then need to be done, which is to subdue Islam by any means necessary before it unleashes the anarchy that will inevitably come to the West as this primitive system occupies a larger place within modern economies.

Goode, like the Hogan's in Florida, is apparently not well informed about Islam and some of his statements diminish his credibility.

But, shouldn't his staff be helping to inform him?

Perhaps a few polite, informative telephone calls or emails to his staff are in order.

His website (with contact info) is:

http://www.house.gov/goode/

Virgil Goode should not attempt to redress this issue without some backup. He is perceptive enough to realize that islam is a treacherous, diabolical death cult and he's not afraid to say so in a polite way. But they would tear him apart if he attempted to "explain" his comments. Hopefully he will just ignore them or tell them to piss off. Funny how the press always manages to mention islam when an American patriot dares to expose the truth about it, which is always reported with innuendoes of bigotry, racism, or islamophobia. But when muslims go on rampages in synagogues, airports, parking lots, or malls, their religious affiliation is never mentioned.

Yes, send checks to this address:

Rep. Virgil Goode
70 East Court St., Suite 215
Rocky Mount, VA 24151

Don't send it to his DC address.

Today they "invite" him to explain his remarks. Tomorrow they will "demand" that he do so. The day after they will "summon" him to their offices to explain his remarks.

This is a United States Congressman.

" moderate Muslim,"....whenever I see that term, I immediately think, liar, liar, or terrorist in waiting.....Ban Muslim Immigration....

disgusting photo.

Robert--

Help Virgil Goode "explain" his comments. Give him the texts from Qur'an, and Hadith, and the details of Muhammad's life as set out in the Sira. Prepare for him what might be called a "Talking Paper" but let the texts of Islam, and the occasional Qur'anic commentator and jurisconsult, do all the talking.

And then have Congressman Virgil Goode agree to meet, before the cameras, with the supposedly aggrieved Jamal Badawi. And have him invite the press in. And then let him read, and read, and read, those texts -- making sure it is all recorded, and not just for that night's news, but permanently. He can even make copies of the tape, and distribute it far and wide.

Give that tape a nice name:

A Dialogue Between Congressman Virgil Goode and Jamal Badawi.

Do this for Washington. Do this for Lincoln. As a birthday present, a day late and not a moment too soon.

Please.

Venividivici,

"The question is, how old is too old to do what will then need to be done, which is to subdue Islam by any means necessary before it unleashes the anarchy that will inevitably come to the West as this primitive system occupies a larger place within modern economies."

It certainly would be better if we could pull the weeds we have now with our bare hands rather than wait until later when we are up to our waists in it and then have to bring in gallons of Round-up and tractors to clean up the mess. And as for older and wiser, I see no evidence of it existing in our society, nor any respect being given to it if it did, unfortunately.

If anyone is in Rep. Goode's district, forward him this email. I think he would be interested in seeing it and only residents of his district can send email through the US House website.

I think I will drop a check in the mail today as well. BTW he may not be a comparative religions scholar but I understand he has a law degree from the University of VA, so he is no dummy.

All you need to email Rep. Goode is a zip code from one of his local offices. I sent him a supportive email over the weekend and used that technique to do so. Just go to www.house.gov and copy one of his zip codes from the contact page.

Then go to this page:
http://www.house.gov/writerep/

and put the zip code in.

I'll write him again and ask him to contact Mr. Spencer if he needs scholarly support in this situation.

one zip code is 24541 ( Danville, VA

Goode should show a powerpoint kind of presentation of all these Fanatics with their rants. Try to get immages of some of the expected Guests who may have attended these demonstrations and then just ask the question as to why he shouldn't feel the way he does. Recite a few supporting texts from the Koran and let the Experts squirm in their attempt to deny it.

Not being an american myself, I am curious as to the level of nationalism in america. I mean I see flags waving on front lawns on tv but where was the crowd to beat the crap out of these people?

I went to a basketball game in san-antonio and everyone stood up and sang the national anthem. Is it just certain states that people hate there own country? I mean they actually brought a picture with them of THERE flag on YOUR bulding.

If Robert is occupied, someone else might help out.

But Congressman Goode should start to figure out that in his entirely justified suspicion of Islam he does not go far enough, does not make sense of all of the information available.

If he were to do so, he would not be supporting the "surge" in Iraq with its perfectly predictable outcome. He would be furiously opposing -- for all the right reasons -- the squandering of men, money, and materiel in Iraq to obtain a goal that is the exact opposite of the goal that should be sought: not "freeedom" for "ordinary moms and dads in the Middle East," and certainly not a "war on terrorism" that "we are fighting over there so we don't have to fight them over here."

Note that among those 17 Republicans who voted correctly, against the surge, were a number from the districts that include large military installations, including Congressman Coble whose district includes Fayetteville, North Carolna-- that is, Fort Bragg. That should have been made much of, but who would have made much of it? The Bush Administration woudln't. Those Democrats who opposed the resolution against that "surge" would not, for their reasons are completely different from those of many of the 17 dissenting but correct Republicans.

Those 17 Republican Congressmenincluded those most attuned to how the soldiers and Marines think, and feel. And even if not all of them know a thing about Islam, they know as a practical matter that the continued effort in Iraq, and the goals of Bush, Cheney, and Rice, of McCain and Lieberman and the two Kagans and those smug young lochinvars of the lecture circuit, including the comical William Kristol, (issuing pronunciamentos about "victory" in Iraq at My Weekly Standard), are impossible of achievement, because they talk to those officers and men who return, and then go back, and then return, all doing so because the Administation is too obstinate and too confused to figure things out.

There is still time for them to figure out, and to spread among the other Republicans, the understanding not only that the "victory" Bush seeks in Iraq is impossible to achieve, but that the only "victory" that makes sense is a different one, and it was achieved well within the first year of the American invasion: the removal of Saddam Hussein and the toppling of all the pillars (his sons, his face-cards, his Sunni-run army) of that regime made inevitable --not possible, not probable, but inevitable -- the transfer of power from a Sunni despotism to the Shi'a of Iraq, and this, in turn, made possible, though not quite as inevitable, spillover effects in other Muslim countries, wherever Sunnis and Shi'a would identify with their co-religionists fighting or being fought in Iraq, and would lead to sectarian divisions widening all over Dar al-Islam. And if the Kurds are supported in making their move, then the spectacle of non-Arab Muslims throwing off the Arab yoke could inspire other non-Arabs, beginning but not ending with the Berbers in North Africa, and this too would contribute to the only goal that ever made sense, and certainly the only goal that justifies the crazed expenditure of $750 billion, which is now the average estimate for what the war in Iraq will have cost the American taxpayers even if the Americans announce their total withdrawal within the next few months, as of course they should, and should have done so, at the latest, by February 2004.

I hope everyone reading this article calls Rep. Goode and in very clear terms tells the staff person who answers the phone that you

support rep. Goode 100%

This guy is oging to be under a lot os presurre of he needs our support to stand up the PC BS that will be fying his way!!!!!

Obviously, islam and the koran is deliberately invented with confusing WORDAGE -passages - meanderings, obsfuscations, labyrinths, false passages (literally) - to entrap, prevent human thinking and logic. The whole thing is the spider web of a black widow.

I thank ALL the Webmasters here that have taken time out - put their lives on the line - all their effords to figuring out all the words and "Laws" - sharia/koranic, etc. - what these meant and present them to us in plain, simple language, for us.

Without you we would be lost, indeed.

And thank you to all the People here, for the help and the explanations and conversation.

From time to time, as a human being, I find it necessary for me, to express my appreciation.

I say this from the bottom of my heart.

Is his office in DC anywhere near Rep. "Officer, put out Tancredo's cigar" Ellison? If it is, he better watch his step. Now I shall email some links to Mr. Goode's office.

"I mean I see flags waving on front lawns on tv but where was the crowd to beat the crap out of these people?"

If any Americans exercized that most luminously rational outburst of righteous passion described above, they would, you see, be "sinking to the level" of the Muslims, and then, why, we would be the "same as them" -- and at that point, what would put the brakes on our careering down the slippery slope which the Morgaan Sinclair's of the world shrilly warn leads immediately and inexorably to "genocide"?. And that's not the worst of it: the surrounding American society would condemn their rationally passionate brothers for being "racist bigots" and "Islamophobes", and the already largely fictitious numbers of "hate crimes" against Muslims would be inflated and the concept puffed up with wind for more sailing full steam ahead (pardon the mixed metaphor) of the U.S.S. Suicide.

Hugh

As our VP, you should step up. Give goode ole Virgil the material you suggest, as well as other collateral that would help him in his debate.

However, you and Vigil seem to disagree on the results of withdrawal from Iraq. He thinks that if we withdraw from there, they'll come here, whereas you think that if we withdraw from there, they'll fight each other. Are there any Republicans who are sold on your position? I don't know that even Tancredo is. How about Newt? But Virgil may be a good person to start with.

OK, OK, it's on, thats it for me. To my utter shame, I am filled with rage. I am too mature to be feeling this. But the rage is there none the less. Funny how it has been such a long time since I have felt this way. Thanks Islamites for keeping me feeling so young. Death to Islam!

remote_control:

Let me see if I understand you here. Are you saying that when an Islamite teenager kills people at a shopping mall we should NOT go after his family and friends? That we should not drag his Mother and Father out into the street and put a bullit in their heads. That we should not locate his friends and kill them as well? Are you saying that burning his parents house to the ground would be a bad thing and other Islamites would not notice how the Family had suffered. I know that Isreal will do something like that with their bulldozers but we must remain above this sort of action, is that your point here?

@Steve L

Welcome to the club!

Yes, Islam is unremittingly depressing, but we have a good time bashing it anyhow.

It's so goddamned stupid, Islam is, that you have to wake up everyday and read Jihad Watch just to convince yourself that the whole thing isn't a terrible nightmare.

Steve L, you do know that sneer quotes convey sarcasm?

Mr doodl2:

Yes, i agree with you on this 100%. Whenever I find a Muz posting on the net I feel it is my duty to post a reply, he is an example of some of my work in the comments section.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAPuIRzvNDg#_zOVrF7SCrk

But for me it is not as effective as I feel I need to be, like when I walk my pot bellt pig in the mornings, and he takes a dump on my Islamite neighbors lawn. Or when My German Shep goes over a sniffes at the butt of the Islamites when they are praying in a public place. One of them took a swipe at Gus a few months back, while we were at a rest area, and Gus bit his hand, not much, only a few stitches, but he is a firm believer in biting the muz now. I will re-train him to not bite... soon. But I am feeling I need to be more proactive, so i am feeling more and more frustraited everyday.

remote_control:

Yes, I do. But I was looking for some guidance in this. I was counting on your reply being... NO.

America does NOT answer to Muslims!!!I would suggest Goode send them a brief, nasty note indiocating that most Americans KNOW Islam teaches first degree murder and move on.

We think Goode is great! (And with any luck maybe a future US President!!!).

ps-There's no such thing as a 'moderate' Muslim because there's no such thing as 'moderate' Islam. 'Moderate' Muslims will do whatever the hell their imams tell them to do--like a good member of any totalitarian cult (which ISLAM IS). They simply have no other choice.

Badawi is just another Muslim. Period.

I agree Zenster. In fact, the horrible but tragically necessary actions we had to take in WWII not only did not make us "as bad" as the Nazis and Japanese Imperialists nor cause us to "sink to their level" -- we have become, since then, in many ways (notwithstanding some of the legitimate gripes people have about our decaying mores, etc.) better, and we have progressed in many areas -- technological, scientific, social, legal, political, and ethical.

Of course, I suspect the Morgaan Sinclairs of our day (not to mention the multitudes who are even worse than her) include those horrible but tragically necessary actions we had to take in WWII as part of their litany of the evils of their West.

Congressman Goode should decline the invitatation on the grounds that he is under no obligation to explain his comments to people who are bent on destroying the USA. Additionally he should refer them to the scholarly works of Mr Spencer and Andrew Bostom, with the invitation they take up the matter with the two scolars.

Go on the attack as it is the best form of defence. Defending his position is the worst thing he can do.

We need an organization that is going to stand up for the muslims who hate jihad and terrorist. But come on even my muslim friend, knows what the radicals want.

Posted by: TellEveryone

No, THEY need it. But is it possible for a muslim to HATE jihad?

Ask your muslim friend, and watch him dance.

ALL muslims want islam to take over the world.
They might not set off a bomb, but the end will be the same. Subjugation of non-muslims.

Jihad (in Arabic, "struggle") is a central duty of every Muslim. Modern Muslim theologians have spoken of many things as jihads: the struggle within the soul, defending the faith from critics, supporting its growth and defense financially, even migrating to non-Muslim lands for the purpose of spreading Islam. But violent jihad is a constant of Islamic history. Many passages of the Qur'an and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad are used by jihad warriors today to justify their actions and gain new recruits. No major Muslim group has ever repudiated the doctrines of armed jihad. The theology of jihad, which denies unbelievers equality of human rights and dignity, is available today for anyone with the will and means to bring it to life.
