Over at Shiachat.com, they are certain that this is the nefarious work of none other than "Daniel Pipes and Robert Spencer who are part of jihadwatch.org and dhimmi watch."

Daniel Pipes is a racist plain and simple. Dhimmi is a tax paying citizen of an Islamic State. The Dhimmi is a legal status that non-Muslims are given that means they are citizens of whatever country. Muslims in Islamic law are required to pay mutliple taxes called Zakat or Sadaqah (Jews says Sadaka in Hebrew). The Dhimmi is required to pay the Jizyah an annual tax. Okay, and... arent you preparing your annual taxes now anyway whats the difference? Mr. Pipes uses his knowledge of Islam to fill ignorant Americans with fear and hatred of Muslims. He hopes this fear and hate will continue to fuel Americas support for Israels government and war machine with our taxes coming from America.Mr. Pipes I was at that protest in 1999. I am sure you were filming everyone there protesting against Israeli’s killing civilians and oppressing Muslim and Christians in Palestine. Allat and Sarge, don't give up you guys. I've been water torture to my friends and business associates, especially over the past year and I'm starting to acquire some true believers. My computer guy came over to fix my computer this evening and I showed him Hirsi Ali's new book. He said, "Oh, yeah, I just read about her." We watched the video with Hannity & Colmes and he was most impressed. He also asked me questions and we talk more about these things lately. It took a while but he believes what I'm saying now.
When I mention it to friends who give play the "Islam is a religion of peace" mantra for me, I always start with the treatment of women and what they do to them in Islam. Most times they have heard something about what I mention from some other force and they will argue for a while but I usually get them to agree that the behavior I mentioned and they acknowleged is unacceptable. Then I leave them alone until the next time. The seed has been planted and I just water it over time.

Slow, steady, persistent and relentless application of the facts. It will work. But I also realize that some of my friends just can't deal with it, no matter what. A gay friend of mine told me today that Islam is never going to come here and he just can't let that negativity into his life. And I told him that is exactly what the Germans thought in the 1930's. I also told him that he wouldn't last five minutes living under Islamic rule because he would be in the first group that would be eradicated. But if he can't deal with it, I will have to on his behalf. Some of us are allowed to see the reality of what is going on so it becomes incumbent upon us to shoulder the responsibility. Maybe other people will support us in other ways so that we can fight this fight.
That should have read, "I've been applying pro-freedom, anti-Islamic oppression, water torture to my friends..."
