Hannity and Colmes continues to feature the Husham Al-Husainy story (video via YouTube, with thanks to LGF). Here is Mark Steyn getting a bit closer to the heart of the matter than the Coulter-Ferraro imbroglio did, despite the resistance of a relentlessly clueless Alan Colmes.

Has Steyn been reading Spencer?
It seems Debbie Schlussel is fuming over H/C and Steyn stealing her thunder.
Robert,
I belive H&C will be having Al-Husainy on this evening's show.
I only wish they would have someone such as Mr. Spencer or Brigitte Gabriel to question/debate him.
I give Hannity credit for being critical of the Imam's prayer, but I don't have any confidence of his ability to ask the right questions that will expose the Al-Husainy for what he is. Either Hannity lacks the knowledge of Islam or he can't quite articulate the why the Imam's prayer at the Democratic conference was so hostile to infidels. I suppose it is a combination of both. Maybe when the RNC or Republican Senators come out with talking points on the issue, he'll ask the proper questions. However, the Republicans don't seem to be willing touch this issue as they fear alienating their Arab-Muslim supporters and facing accusations of bigotry.
To exclude Debbie from this debate is absolutely ridiculous. I read about the al-Husainy led rally in Dearborn on Debbie's site LAST SUMMER (and saw the photos).
Without her, none of this story is possible. WTF!!!
The willful, persistent ignorance of media personnel like Mr. Colmes keeps many people in the United States, UK and other places in a vulnerable position.
We need to change the perspectives of these people because it exposes us to potential harm from jihadis. It's willful ignorance that will kill us - not the actions of jihadis.
BTW: Steve Emerson wrote a fantastic article in FrontPage on who CAIR and its bretheren cheer-on the racist genocide in Darfur.
http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=26828
Are George Clooney and his Hollywood Darfur co-protesters not aware of this.
More importantly, are American Black Muslims not aware of what is being done to Black Africans by Arabs in Darfur?
A Plague posted:
"The willful, persistent ignorance of media personnel like Mr. Colmes keeps many people in the United States, UK and other places in a vulnerable position."
Did anyone notice night before last, Hannity refer to the Daniel Pipes presentation and its disruption as "a conservative speaker interrupted by liberal students..."
Why wouldn't Colmes or any self-respecting liberal completely explode at being equated with those who would like to see all women in a shroud and all gays thrown off of buildings?!
Later, Hannity described the disrupters as Muslim extremists, but to use the terms "Liberal" and "Muslim extremists" as if they were synonyms is outrageous.
Willful, persistent ignorance about sums it up...
Mark Steyn is always great. BTW his mother is Belgian Catholic and so was his upbringing. His dad was Jewish. He is a practising Christian but it may not be Catholic these days. He has three children so has done his part demographically
Debbie Schlussel is right to be angry. She always has the best information if it's Muslims and it happens in Michigan. I like her style so she has one of the few blogs I go to each day
This Imam is going to be on H&C tonight...Quick, someone get him the RIGHT questions to ask!
Relentlessly clueless Alan Colmes *laughing
Thank you once again Mr. Spencer for the amusing catch phrase of the day. It is perfection lol.
The Dhimmicrats are getting bolder -- God help us!
Hey Media dullwits - this is NOT about liberal vs. conservative anything as we understand those terms.
We are all liberal in the sense of
7th Century medieval tribalism vs.
18th Enlightenment rationality.
THAT is the conflict!!!
Gee, its almost as if she is not being taken seriously. Who'd have thunk it? I wonder why? All of a persons serious and very good work can be wiped out by the simplest things.
Maybe Naseem would give us her insights?
I agree Plague, it should not be treated as a liberal/conservative issue.
It would be nice to see Robert of Debbie or someone on the show who can de-code the taqiyya double-speak clearly and forcefully. Steyne took a stab at it, but it clearly flew over Alan's head and probably Hannity's too.
"...resistance of a relentlessly clueless Alan Colmes."
Debbie Schlussel notes:
"Last night, Mark Steyn ripped me off on the show."
Quite a bit, in both his recent book and more recent articles, has been johnny-come-lately, and what's worse, johnny-come-lamely in Steyn's coverage and comprehension of Islam and of what that should mean for policy in Iraq. He's got a lot of backtracking and covering of tracks to do, but he's been working on the railroad, all the livelong day, and he'll find a way.
Meanwhile, as another from whom some heavy lifting has been going on, I'm thinking of pies at twenty paces, against all comers, in back of the Lyme Inn or on the village green, once the snow melts. I'm a dab hand with pumpkin.
Hannity only looks good becuase Colmes is next to him. Hannity pulls water for one and only one...the Republican Party. He has no real values except the talking points the GOP sticks in his face in the morning. Alan Colmes on the other hand is like the old Washington Generals.....they are supposed to lose to the Harlem Globetrotters. Colmes is very good at that.
Debbie Schlussel may be upset, but l am sure the she is thankful her work is being used, and education the Western people. in time her works will be reocgnized.
europe played nice with hitler until hitler invaded and then conquered europe.
the evil and vileness that is the cult of islam is running rampant across the world and is exerting itself in America.
time is short. war is inevitable.
prepare be armed be ready.
The Texican.
God Family America and Freedom the only choice at any cost.
Why not haver Steyn, Spencer, Schlussel et al on Glenn Beck. He is much better than the blow hards at Fox. Both Hannity and O'Reilly care only about what comes out of their mouth.
Also, why not have Hugh on any TV show.
What's next ...
Pelosi's office presenting Husham Al-Husainy with an award?
Colmes and Ferraro pay a visit to the imam's mosque?
How 'bout Husham gets his ass thrown in jail for treason?
Robert wrote: "despite the resistance of a relentlessly clueless Alan Colmes."
All too true about Mr. Colmes, but my BIG quandary for today is whether, the MSM, the majority of politicians, primarily but not exclusive to liberals, teachers, educational institutions, judges, the masses....et al, can actually continue to hide behind or be placed behind the shield of ignorance. Can it all be attributable to stupidity or cluelessness? The more I see, the less I think not.
Every day I see and experience, on both a global and personal level, the continued spread of PC multiculturalism, its viral effect permeating more and more aspects of western culture and society. It begs the questions, "Just where did it come from?" "What is its ultimate agenda?" "How can it be stopped!"
It can get quite depressing to think about.
Leftist thinking, and its avid support of global multiculturalism, has to be an active agenda. Ignorance can no longer be blamed. It is perfectly plausible, since nearly everyone has some sort of agenda, whether it be a bomb, or a well-tossed pumpkin pie. Politics in general, in the absence of an agenda, ceases to be politics. Who exactly is using multiculturalism to further their agenda and, for what purpose?
In the short time that I have been involved, here in the JW/DW community, I have learned a great deal about Islam. More than I actually cared for in retrospect, but nonetheless it was and continues to be a necessary by-product for me. Islam is Islam, and it appears, always has been. The concept of the ideology, in spite of countless attempts by Islamists to convince otherwise, is crystal clear.
In a world where a white American politician cannot refer to a non-white American politician as "articulate", without backlash, where Snickers can be compelled to pull an ad, and an obvious, watered down, knockoff taken from Disney's Lady and the Tramp, from TV in a moments notice because it has offended someone, what chance of survival does western culture actually have? In our collective, hell-bent desire to make everyone the same, equal on all levels, to dwell perpetually in a "Matrix" type dream state, have we not done the exact opposite, clearly and distinctly proven that in reality we are not?
A final thought:
If the malaise of PC multiculturalism has spread so quickly and now thrives so vigorously throughout the West, dominating both master and servant alike, why is it that Islam seems to be the only thing resistent to it. Currently, it is not obligated to do so, but why not? It is obvious even to a layman like myself to see that the Islamists are using PC multiculturalism to destroy us, albeit step by step, gaining foothold after capitulative foothold. It is nauseating to say the least. The fact that little to none in the West recognize this can not possibly be ignorance alone, can it??
LoneRanger is right -- what Husham said was treason.
Treason defined: a crime that UNDERMINES the offender's government.
Statements like the one made by Husham at the end of his prayer are not protected under our "freedom of speech", nor should treasonous statements be protected within the framework of a PRAYER!!
I don't know why Hannity has always gotten under my skin. I could give you reasons why that is so, but I would be lying--it is visceral.
Hopefully he will learn, but so far things don't look too bright.
P.S. And Mark needs to learn more about Islamic theology, no matter how good a writer he is.
I know this is a stupid question, but is this the Mark Steyn that used to be bald. Is that a toupee or something? SOUNDS like the same guy.
I can't help but saying that that was a brilliant post awake! You've nailed it quite eloquently.

Yes, I think you are correct Morgaan.
Also, Mr. Steyn has "borrowed" some things I have written.
"Also, why not have Hugh on any TV show."
I do not think we will be seeing that trick anytime soon. ;-)
I love this quote about Hannity from Debbie (capitalization her's):
Apparently, the MahaRushie is still in her good graces.Vannity covers his own crack only a little more closely than he covers Bush's. I expect nothing less from that Murdoch tool.
And what is it with Colmes? Is that same mortician-like expression always on his face. I have seen him grin ONCE. Like a possum eating sh**.
awake: "If the malaise of PC multiculturalism has spread so quickly and now thrives so vigorously throughout the West, dominating both master and servant alike, why is it that Islam seems to be the only thing resistent to it."
The easy answer would be because Muslims are the only ones who refuse to play the game (except for exploiting it). The next question would be WHY they are the only ones who refuse to buy into it. The obvious answer would be that they are so absolutely confident that they are RIGHT and also that they have no compulsion in being ruthless, that they see no NEED to play the game. One line of thought on the counter-jihadi side seems to be that, well then, we are so weak in our own convictions that we need to have the same sort of sense of being RIGHT that they do, merely in order to defeat them. And so various thoughts occur to us - we should reinvigorate Christianity in the west, e.g. because that worked before and actually stopped the jihad at Tours and at the gates of Vienna.
But the problem is that the rest of us (the non-Muslims) are just so fractured amongst ourselves between all sorts of disparate beliefs and positions - Christians and atheists, liberals and conservatives, Jews and Hindus and Buddhists etc etc. So how is there any conceivable way for all of us to possibly come together like Muslims do in order to have the same sort of absolute confidence that WE are right? Apparently we can't. It can't be done because we really all are different and we don't all agree on what is RIGHT and there are also many people who simply don't know what they think about things with enough passion to be convinced that their own position or belief about anything is right enough, in order to inspire them to fight from that perspective alone, on behalf of their own beliefs, the way Muslims do so effortlessly.
So if it is seemingly impossible for us all to agree on what we commonly believe in, in such a way that could mobilize the sort of single-mindedness, not to mention ruthlessness, that Muslims display in fighting for what they are CERTAIN is right, what are we do? How are we to mobilize to defeat this?
Well, that would seem to leave fighting on behalf of the only thing we all have in common - the certainty that Muslims are WRONG. That their beliefs are not only wrong but also, frankly, evil and utterly destructive of harmony among men on earth. There may indeed be a great deal of disagreement about what is true and right but there can be little disagreement about what is manifestly false and wrong and monstrous, as Islam obviously is, for anyone who would dare to have just the minimum amount of courage in this PC climate to look starkly at reality (as Muslims do - they are not the least bit afraid of PC - why cannot the rest of us demonstrate at least that minimal amount of courage, even if we are not prepared to actually fight in response to what we see with open eyes?)
Obviously what is true, with a capital T is elusive and there is much disagreement about it. But what is FALSE and dangerous and destructive and malevolent is obvious. It's a "no-brainer". Tear away what is obviously false and evil and then see what is left standing to argue about. It seems much more difficult to prove and fight for what is true than to prove and fight AGAINST what is obviously false and wrong and destructive and which will have long term deleterious consequences for mankind as a whole with hundreds of millions of silent, never-to-be-told stories of anonymous suffering to inevitably follow in the wake of Islam being triumphant globally.
The question is - can people of all DIFFERENT convictions about what is true be ruthless and utterly uncompromising in fighting together against something which is obviously FALSE, wherever it is we happen to go after that certain falsehood is expunged from the family of man? Because that's really all the conviction each of us needs individually to defeat this thing, and if all those individual convictions were combined, then there would simply be no contest. Moreover, if everyone were utterly serious in that conviction, and willing to relinquish PC altogether where Islam is concerned, we could defeat the global jihad with a minimum of violence.
I'm presently reading Steyn's book "America Alone." He nails it. Good to see more of him.
Thanks for that link IP. Be sure to see what Rush was referring to here:

gotta Luv iT.
Pardon me while I puke.
Vannity & colmes are creeps.
I would rather newsreaders steal other peoples work than stay silent on the issue, the future is too bleak to be caring about crediting authors.
I do have respect for Mark Steyn, Regardless of any moralizing tones he may use, he is helping to bring awareness to the public. That is important.
