Arsalah Jamal.
U.S. troops who took the man away shot him in the leg when he tried to escape. As the crowd took cover, the attacker blew himself up, Jamal said.
Sounds like the troops missed.

To a Jihadi's way of thinking, the perfect time to red mist yourself is at the opening of a hospital's emergency ward. An opportunity for the overall good for the general community, trashed by a Islamic homicide bombing. The ward received its first patients, and the morgue received the parts of the demon possessed sick-o.

Enough of this "disabling". People who are set to kill others should be taken out with no regrets and no apologies and no troops brought before a court-martial or international court.

Unfortunately he made a film called THE GREEN BERETS and, though his heart was probably in the right place and it was an entertaining movie, virtually no facts or truth about the enemy faced back then could be gleaned from it. And then it ended its naive vision with the infamous "sunset in the east" scene.
George W. Bush and team are providing plenty of naivety already to this situation -- we don't need more.
But we do need educational heroes so that the Free World can all understand the true nature and facts about Islam and the Jihadists it has spawned who have attacked and drained resources from America from the days of Jefferson and the Barbary Coast situation. Educational heros like the kind running this site -- so that they might inspire modern, educated John Waynes, perhaps?

Re: The Green Berets--Perhaps factually flawed, but I was more so referencing John's over all movie "persona", if you will, expressing in many movies the very things that I admired him and other fine men for, and that which helped form what I am and believe today. He was, and is, a hero to me. Not the "charge the enemy lines single handed" image so often referred to but the strong silent man not afraid to fight for what was right. He and Hollywood realised this and most of his roles personified these traits, as, he did it best. He was, I believe, playing himself in his roles. As an aside, I was very fortunate to meet him in 1963 and express to him personally what I have posted here.

But then, aren't out soldiers supposed to save every life if they can? Or if they shoot to kill unless in immediate danger of their lives (someone is actually pointing a weapon at them) they stand a good chance of facing a courts-martial?
Rules of engagement are set up to be more concerned for the"other" than for our welfare. Our (US) armed forces are supposed to defend us; not make our enemies feel "loved."
