Syrian President Bashar al-Assad heading a high-ranking delegation arrived in Tehran on Saturday to confer with Iranian officials on regional development. During his stay in Tehran, Assad is scheduled to confer with the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Expediency Council Chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani on matters of mutual interest.
