Leading American news media have refused to sell Internet site ad space to the Jewish Agency for a campaign against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, according to Jewish Agency (JA) Spokesman Yarden Vatikay.The JA and the World Zionist Organization (WZO) recently approached over 40 of the US's leading news media through Network Solutions, an Internet ad company, said Vatikay. But none agreed to sell banner space.
"They claimed the ad was a political statement and, therefore, disqualified," said Vatikay. "I find it unbelievable that a campaign against hatred and anti-Semitism could be considered political."
Shlomo Molla, the head of the WZO's Department for Zionist Institutions, who also heads the Jewish Agency's campaign against anti-Semitism, said that he was "deeply disappointed" with America's news media for refusing to sell the JA space on their Web sites.
"It seems as if history is repeating itself," said Molla, 39. "People stood by passively when Hitler rose to power also."
As stated above - 40 plus leading U.S. news media outlets disqualify statements of political nature - then they are also saying that readers should disqualify just about everything news media publishes and broadcasts -as it is all political. This is the best "news" from U.S. media in the past 75 years.
ODD....the media doen't hesitate to broadcast the filmclips of Muslims violence or of hate speeches by Ahmadinejad or Nasarallah. Shouldn't both sides be allowed to voice their opinions?

People weren't passive when Hitler rose to power. Both extremes of the traditional political spectrum - totalitarian lite --> totalitarian stout - supported Hitler to one degree or another. The Socialists only abandoned him when he invaded Stalin. Anti-Americanism and Jew hatred are at a fever pitch right now. Things are going to get very ugly.
Okay, when will it be 1939 again? We have been stuck in 1938 for quite some time now, six years to be exact. I don't want WW III (or IV) to happen but what choice does the world have. It took fire and force to purge the fanatical Nazis and Hirohito followers from the world, after all.

Gee it's funny: the New York Times didn't have a problem running a vile full page Nazi-esque ad paid for by the Council for the National Interest insisting that the "Israel lobby" controls America.

As soon as you accept that the media does indeed support those who call for the destruction of the U.S., then it all makes complete sense.

The problem isn't the nature of the message ... a political statement that ahmanutjob is a totalitarian racist asshole who's a threat to the civilized world ... it's WHO is trying to place the ad. You can bet that when those corpulent saudi pustules decide ahmanuthob is becoming a bit of an immediate threat to their world, too, those ads and those petrodollars will be cheerfully accepted by CNN.
Funny, these organizations self-censor out of fear of the individual Moslem activist, or a band of same at largest. They do so in effect to prop up the image of a fellow who pleans to commit genocide, his religion's holy sacrament, by nuclear ballistic missile.
