Gaza: "Terror University" sets up in former Jewish city

"Palestinians" again show how fervently they want peace, and how ready they were after the Israelis left Gaza to stop fighting and go back to living normal lives. "'Terror U' sets up in former Jewish city: School that trains jihadists establishes branch using evacuated buildings," by Aaron Klein in WorldNetDaily.com, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:

A Hamas-affiliated university with a history of involvement in terrorist activity today opened a branch in a former Gaza Strip Jewish community, building on the foundations of evacuated Jewish structures.

Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh led today's dedication ceremony officially opening a new campus of Islamic University in the former Jewish town of Nitzarim, south of Gaza City. Sections of the campus were constructed using the foundations of the remains of Jewish buildings, which were mostly demolished by Israel prior to its withdrawal in August 2005. The new school features classrooms, chemistry labs, faculty offices and a mosque.

Islamic University was founded by Hamas spiritual leader Ahmed Yassin, who was assassinated by Israel in 2004.

The university's main campus in Gaza City has been used by Hamas' so-called military wing to recruit terrorists and suicide bombers, according to Israeli and Palestinian security officials. The officials said chemistry labs were used to manufacture and improve explosives for Hamas-affiliated militias.

Previous Israeli raids of the main university campus in Gaza yielded mass quantities of weaponry and Hamas incitement material.

Where ever you find A Mosque, you will find weapons....

Yeah, I don't think their construction is going to include anything less then destructive education.

Terror U in Gaza. Say, isn't that where Dr. Evil got his PhD?

The virtue of Gaza is that it is less expensive than Gitmo and it is easier to kill the headbanger scum that wants and tries to kill you.

Start the bulldozers and push it all into the Sinai.

Israel and Western Europe share a problem. That problem is sentimentality. That problem is an inability to even begin to create a mental atmosphere in which certain measures, undertaken for their own survival, will have to be undertaken.

Israel keeps behaving as if it is required to keep open forever the offer it made in 1949. And the world acts as if Israel must indeed keep that offer, rejected then, to make those armistice lines (never "borders" despite what the Arab League and Jimmy Carter may say) permanent.

Not enough Israelis are aware of their own history, of the history of the Palestine Mandate, of the history of Jews under "tolerant" Islam, in Yemen (Mauza), in Fez (under the Almohads), in Cairo (see what S. D. Goitein, despite his life-long wish to believe otherwise, concluced from his own study of the Cairo Geniza), in Baghdad, in Damascus, in the Jazirat al-Arab itself, rendered so islamically Judenrein).

But that does not exhaust the extent of their ignorance. They also do not appear to know the history of Western public international law, the Law of Nations, about their rights, in a war of self-defense (a war that goes on forever, because the Lesser Jihad against them goes on forever, has no end, and can have no end in Islam). They appear not to know or at least not to make the obvious case, that borders are routinely adjusted after every war. Why do they not point, as they should, to Italy's taking possession of the Sudtirol after World War I, and transforming a land that was 97% German into what is now the Italian Alto Adige? Does anyone in the world think that Italy should return the Alto Adige to Austria? Of course not -- save for a few revanchists, and local Deutschtum fanatics who for a while, under Eva Klotz, conducted a small-scale campaign of bombing of pylons and suchlike.

And who in his right mind objects to the territorial adjustments made, at the expense of Germany, after World War II, by Poland, Czechoslovakia, Russia, and others?

And who, for that matter, thinks that the many states of Eastern and Central Europe that expelled the Volksdeutsche (ethnic Germans who had been favored by the conquering Nazis, treated as fellow Germans), werer wrong to do so?

When you find out -- as you have at this website (goole "Benes Decree" and "Posted by Hugh") about how little Czechoslovakia, the first state to be victimized by Hitler (and abandoned by everyone else), managed to expel, in the immediate post-war period, more than 3 million ethnic Germans, though the Czechs and Slovaks themselves were together not much more than twice that number, then one wonders why it is that the nations of Western Europe, where the Muslim menace grows but still consists of people who arrived, almost all of them, within the past few decades, who have given every sign of representing a permanent threat to the legal and political institutions of the countries in which they were allowed to settle, and where their presence has already created a situation that is much more unpleasant, expensive (including the massive epxloitation of the Infidel welfare state by Muslim immigrants, high levels of crime direcdted at Infidels criminality, which when directed at Infidels -- those rapes in Scandinavia, those burglaries in England, that vandalism of French cars -- all justified because it is Muslims doing what they have a right to do against Infidels, en attendant the moment when the Bilad al-kufr, the Lands of the Infidels, fall through Da'wa and demographic conquest into the laps of the Muslims who are by right the true owners of the world, and of course the fantastic costs of monitoring Muslim populations for security threats), and much more physically dangerous, than would be without that large-scale presence of Muslims.

But sentimentality, and the despairing "but what, oh what, can we do?" or the equally silly "but that's just unthinkable" as a response -- have to go.

They will have to go in Israel. They will have to go in the countries of Western Europe.

However wretched the current level of mass civilization in the Western world may be, however full of loathing for that world, however worthless it may seem, those who have inherited the legacy of the past owe their distant beneficiaries -- Leonardo and Bracton, Piero and Shakespeare, Dante and Spinoza, Jefferson and Diderot -- have no right to throw this all the way in a spirit of sentimentality and a refusal, based on sheer mental laziness, to think things through.

Sir Hugh,

...Excellant, thanks again...

First of all, Ismail Haniyeh needs to join Yassin and Rantissi for a nice long dirt nap, and join them d@mn soon. Israel is fooling itself to think that Hamas has an endless supply of top-notch administrators. Pause to consider the ever-decreasing age of so-called "senior" terrorist officials (now in the 25-35 year-old range), and then realize that Hamas has lost or thrown away a substantial portion of any seasoned troops within its ranks.

A campaign of serious attrition within terrorist circles is literally screaming to be started. How the West can think that it will succeed by applying traditional rules of engagement for symmetrical warfare (or worse, ordinary law enforcement action) to hyper-violent, internationally decentralized bands of religious fanatics goes beyond all reason.

The high context nature of Islamic society intrinsically depends upon charismatic leadership. Oratory skill are developed to artistic levels, networks of connections must be extensive - reaching through tribes and generations while specific unrecorded pre-existing knowledge is the coin in trade for illegal operations like terrorist groups.

All of these features militate towards a program of targeted killings aimed at depleting the top ranks of terrorism. The West is almost suicidal in its refusal to begin such operations. Israel has long known the efficacy of such methods and continues to employ them to this day. Consider that terrorist attacks are "targeted killings", only on a mass scale and repayment in kind begins to make a whole lot more sense.

"Never give back real estate you paid for with your blood, it's that simple."

Catawhumpus hits the nail-head here. At one point Israel had adopted this sort of policy but has been gulled into retracting its past methods. What is the one thing that Palestinians want more than anything (besides killing all the Jews, that is)? It is territory, a homeland, a nation.

For every attack upon Israel, the security fence is steered over another several hectares of Palestinian land, NEVER TO BE GIVEN BACK UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

The Palestinians must see their dream of a homeland slowly recede with each terrorist attack. Their punishment must be the most stinging of all, loss of their dreams. Only this sort of erosive retaliation can possibly motivate the heavily indoctrinated Palestinians to begin questioning the wisdom of their terrorist leadership. Only constant shrinkage of their precious little existing territory can hope to summon forth any opposition to manipulative and politically active terrorist organizations like Hamas and Fatah.

Hugh's post brings up a far darker aspect with respect to Europe's future.

” But sentimentality, and the despairing "but what, oh what, can we do?" or the equally silly "but that's just unthinkable" as a response -- have to go.”

Europe’s fixation upon multiculturalism, combined with France’s triangulation against America has led them into a cul-de-sac whose final destination will be one that few anticipate. Europe has confronted these same threats before with similar degrees of complacency only to resolve such out-of-control matters with the usual historical result; The Charnel House.

If Europe refuses to consider the immediate expulsion of its non-integrating Muslim population, only one alternative will then present itself. The Final Solution will once more rear its ugly head and the Muslim holocaust will begin.

It is no small irony that Islam intentionally drives the ummah directly towards this sort of breaking point. As Dr. John Lewis points out in his superb work ”No Substitute for Victory” – The Defeat of Islamic Totalitarianism:

(Link: http://www.theobjectivestandard.com/issues/2006-winter/no-substitute-for-victory.asp )

” Islamic warriors can shoot an AK-47, but they cannot build one; all of the arms possessed by Islamic countries come from outside those countries. They are pathetically weak; the American army ended the regime of Saddam Hussein in three weeks, after Iran could not beat him in eight years.

By means of terrorist coercion, subversion, sedition, state-within-a-state politics and endless grievances devolving from incessantly offended Muslim “sensitivities”, a poorly armed minority seeks to overwhelm a relatively unsuspecting dominant culture. Islam’s suicidal obsession almost preternaturally deflects its own attention from the prospect of how interminable Muslim demands for global dominance could easily result in the ummah’s simple and outright annihilation. At that point, Europe’s reversion to its traditional strategy of the Charnel House will only be the grim beginning.
