Yaghi killed 40-year-old Miray Saad in front of her parents on Mother's Day 2005 in the parking lot of her family's business, Brant's Restaurant Ice Cream in Myrtle Beach, prosecutors said.
Yaghi thought his sister-in-law was cheating on his brother, prosecutors said.
Yaghi first fired two shots into Saad's face, then fired a shot that missed Saad's father as he tried to get help, prosecutor Scott Hixson said.
Yaghi then fired five more bullets into Saad before turning the gun on Saad's mother. "Luckily for Mary Baroody, the gun only held eight bullets," Hixson said.

Consistent, serious punishments such as this are just what we need to civilize the people who consider this sort of thing - which is what we must to since it seems we are stuck with this immigrant population for the forseeable future. It would be a good thing to create a special class of hate crime for this - that way it would be easier to bust whole families who are part of the conspiracy.

No, he was just too excited to count...he has obvioulsy never acclimated to our culture enough to have watched any Dirty Harry Movies: "...in all the exitement I forgot. Was it seven or eight shots?"
Seriously this is an awful tragety, which will be made worse by the deafening silence that the national media will give it. We should be making honor killings akin to hate crimes. When whole families get deported for a hate crime/honor killing the scum will start to realize that they are in OUR culture. If they don't, it's no great loss to us to see 10-12 of his family members sent back to the hell hole where they belong. Sadly though, this will be at the expense of an innocent woman or young girl.

Yes, where are the feminists? This is sunny South Carolina. People do not shoot each other in the face in broad daylight in front of ice cream shops. People do not shoot their sister-in-law based on suspicions. Apparently there was a TCBY franchise license that was a point of contention. Could it be he resented her economic independence? That she was thriving in America? Where is the husband?
One consolation, for us and for her family: the justice system in SC is very punitive to homocide. He will never see the light of day. We do not even parole murderers. Good luck in the South Carolina prison system, bastard! I hope he eats grits!

I can see a non-muslim man killing his wife over suspicion of adultery, but how often does a non-muslim kill his sister-in-law for cheating on his brother?
I entered both the murder's and victim's name along with "muslim" on a Google search and found "0" results.
The real question to ask is why no one even bothered to raise a religiously motivated honor killing as a possibility.

Sure, men from every walk of life throughout the world kill their wives for various reasons but how often do brothers murder their siblings' wives because they "suspect" affairs? In our culture, marital issues are the private business of the husband and wife and maybe a few lawyers, not the extended family of the husband. This reeks of an honor killing. I have rarely heard of muslim men committing suicide after killing a family member. They usually proudly turn themselves in to police, confess that they were defending the family honor and if they even go to court, they only get a slap on the wrist.
This primitive, tribal islamic practice needs to be widely publicized, not only to protect millions of potential muslim female victims, but to acquaint the public with one of islam's many vile and savage cultural traditions. Muslims will eventually push for sharia to adjudicate family issues and should this ever (God forbid) be considered, and in our bizarre political climate anything is possible, honor killings would become as common here as in the islamic third world.
